According to some sources, The Armenian Genocide Appeals (the so-called Armenian Genocide or the Unfounded Armenian Claims) indicate that the Armenian deportation, which was carried out by the Ottoman State in Eastern Anatolia for internal security reasons from May to November 1915, was aimed at destroying the Armenian community in the region, Millions of Armenians are alleged to have been killed by this reason. In the early years of the First World War, the Ottoman State while fighting in many fronts with Allied Powers, the Armenians attacked the Ottoman army jointly with the Russian army in the region up to Central Anatolia in the East, and rebelled in many cities. In order to overcome these rebellions, the Ottoman State held a joint meeting with the Armenian Patriarchs, especially the Armenian Members of the Tanzimat Parliament, and the leaders of the Armenian community, and informed them that the Ottoman State would take countermeasures if the Armenians continued to kill local Muslim people in Eastern Anatolia. On the basis of this notion, the Ottoman State in April 24, 1915 arrested 235 people who had organized the rebellions and closed down all the Armenian Committees and local organizations that supported and organized the rebellions. The Ottoman State promulgatiated the Temporary Law of Deportation, in 27 May 1915. Accordingly, it was decided some of the Armenians in Eastern Anatolia would be displaced to Syria, Lebanon and Iraq. According to the Armenians' claims, massacre and genocide were carried out under the deportation title and 1.5 million Armenians were killed. This article is about the mass graves of 1.5 million Armenians which would form the basis of the massacre allegations, the size, how and by whom they were dug, how the massacred Armenians buried and how the mass graves covered with soil. The paper is written to investigate whether there are mass graves or not.

Capital tax, which put into practice in Turkey during the Second World War, aims to generate revenue. It is an application designed to prevent profiteering and black market to obtain an unfair advantage in such ways. Discussions on the subject are still ongoing during the period from the time of application to today. The aims of the tax and punishments given to taxpayers frequently criticized because of claiming that capital tax used as a means of oppression against minorities. This study examines the capital tax in the printed press. How the printed press approaches the subject in the news and comments during the period of the application is revealed. In relation to the subject, the approaches on the subject of the capital tax is mentioned based on the literature and approaches of printed press representing Turkey is given. The news and comments of Son Telgraf, Son Posta, Cumhuriyet, Akşam, Yeni Sabah, Tan and Vatan newspapers which are leading newspapers of the selected period are examined in this study.

ERP systems are software that facilitates coordination and communication between departments by gathering all business departments that are remote or close together under a single roof. This enables department managers and employees to reach clearer information in less time. This research examines the impact of ERP systems on human resource management. The definition and characteristics of human resources management in ERP and the human resources management features of ERP are emphasized. The research was carried out on tourism sector operating in the Mersin region. The research was conducted with 150 samples covering hotel managers and managers. Regression analysis was conducted in the analysis of the results and it was determined that ERP had positive effects on human resources management.

ntiokheia (Antioch) was made capital city by Macedonian Seleucid Empire which annexed most of the Near East lands in 300 BC and reconstruction activity started by Seleucid kings to make it prosper like any capital city. Since the reconstruction activities beared the traces of Macedonian and Greek overtones, it caused a great disintegration aspect of local fabric of the area and this disintegration was not limited to reconstruction activities and it is accepted that it affected all social areas over time. Seleucids largely relied on the immigrant Macedonian and Greek population in Antiokheia and in its vicinity to dominate the rich local culture. In this new social stratification that they build to achieve aforementioned aim, was shaped by giving local man the positions in lover or medium level administrative authorization. By the revolts in Antiokheia against the attempts of changing the belief system that existed before and during the the Seleucid Era, it is observed that the dominant factions in the city showed resistance to keep their own culture. In this study, analysis of the Seleucid Kingdom' decision to make Antiokheia the capital, efforts of making it a magnificent royal center which reflects their own Greek culture, the effect of this on the already existed cultural background that belongs to the solid local factions and on social life of these factions who brought the local culture into existence are aimed.

The activities of helping new generations to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to take their place in society are briefly referred to as education. Man is a social entity and can not be considered apart from society. It is natural and a right to participate in the training activities necessary to be able to adapt to society. This right has been registered both internationally and in national laws and contracts. Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948, states that every person has the right to education. In Article 42 of the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey it is stated that no one can deprived of education and training. The task of States is to open training institutions, to assign training staff to these institutions, and to ensure that their citizens benefit from the relevant rights. Educational institutions opened by private institutions also alleviate the responsibility of the state in this task. Thousands of schools have been opened in our country for millions of students at primary level. There are dozens of higher education institutions, including at least one in each city, and they continue to open. There are currently 206 Higher Education Institutions in the Higher Education Council. The main task of each higher education institution is to be able to add qualified graduates. While performing this task, they are competing for the most successful candidates to choose themselves. Attracting successful candidates to themselves requires firstly reaching them. With the help of the communication and information technologies that entered our lives together with the end of the 90's, access to individuals has become much easier and the scope has expanded so much. Social media, which has added another dimension to communication with the new millennium, has penetrated every aspect of our lives and offered new opportunities for higher education institutions as well. Institutions can check whether their messages reach their target group, see the profile of the mass that they reach, and thus they can make the next contents more planned. It is not wrong to say that today almost all higher education institutions have at least one social media account. This situation, which is the result of the compulsion of the competitive environment, gives the candidates the convenience of making their preferences. With the support of mobile devices and operators, social media, which has entered every area of our lives, is the source of this. In this context, the study aims to measure the social media presence of universities and the performance of social media platforms in the selection process. In this framework, the study will try to analyze the social media shares of universities in Istanbul towards to candidates.

Nowadays, the mass communication instruments play determinant role on which the individuals will be interested in, in which position they will be, and how long these subjects will be on the agenda. From this aspect, the objective of this study is to reveal the role of Ads, which are related with the special days, on setting the agenda. After a literature research within the scope of Agenda Setting Theory, the survey method used as data collection instrument in the study designed as a quantitative research. 330 questionnaires were conducted on the sample, which consisted of students from the Faculties of Communication in Gaziantep and Uşak Universities; 26 of them were accepted invalid and the answers of 304 participants were included in the analyses. When the study data were analyzed, it was determined that the participants most frequently faced with the Valentine’s Day advertisements. It was determined that the participants face with the advertisements most frequently in environments such as social media, TV, open air, and newspaper, and that the advertisements related with special days and the audience’s attitude towards the brand play role in setting the agenda but the agenda types (phases)have no role.

Social media emerging with the new millennium has brought a new breath to the world of communication. Although it does not differ from traditional media in the sense of media content, social media has its own unique jargon and more threats. Who will be taught the media literacy course is a topic that is especially interested in communication faculty students. In the future, if the social media literacy course enters the primary curriculum, it is expected that the course will be taught by the communication faculty graduates. To do this, communication faculties must first place a social media course in their curriculum. The aim of this study is to measure the facilities of the communication faculties of the Higher Education Council within the meaning of social media education. Within this context, the curricula of all communication faculties will be analyzed within the context of social media lessons.
