This paper considers significant risks being faced by the international banking system. Those risks can be clustered into four categories relating to (1) funding and liquidity, (2) regulatory changes (3) cyber security and other geopolitical risks, and (4) the general economic picture. While each of them is considered to be manageable, together they represent a clear and present danger to the international banking system. Therefore, to confront these risks, it is suggested to provide a more systemic solution rather than a separate one. There is a call for a global financial supervision and regulations to deal with these risks. Although the present economic environment looks quite favourable, these risks make it even more important that the international banking system build on the substantial progress already made in strengthening risk management and the resilience of critical market infrastructure. These risks are analysed and recommendations are provided as to how the international banking system might manage them.

Low academic ability students should be facilitated so that their learning results do not differ too much from those of the high academic ability students. Cooperative learning model has many advantages in learning. This research aimed at investigating the potential of the jigsaw and guided inquiry in improving biology learning results of low academic ability students in Madrasah Aliyah (MA) in Palu, Indonesia. MA is Islamic senior high school. This is a descriptive research using quasi-experimental design. The population of this research was all the students of MA in Palu with the total number of participants of 140 students. The students were selected by using random sampling techniques. The results of this research showed that the jigsaw model and guided inquiry had an effect on students’ learning results. Jigsaw model is more potential in improving the Biology learning results of low academic ability students, while the guided inquiry is more potential in improve the Biology learning results of high academic ability students.

Mass transfer operations for gas liquid separation can be carried out in two modes. One is gas dispersed in continuous liquid and Liquid dispersed in continuous gas flow. Tray columns and packed beds are examples of these two types of mass transfer equipments respectively. For fluids containing suspended solids, other equipments such as agitated vessels, spray chambers ventury scrubbers and sparged vessels can be used according to the requirements. Tray columns are the most important contact mechanisms along with packed columns. Easy cleaning, high liquid hold up, side stream flexibility are some advantages of tray towers over packed columns. Current review summarizes studies, research work and reviews carried out on tray columns.

The current study was carried out to investigate the effect of using the Total Physical Response method to teach English for specific purposes students at Arrass College of Technology; Saudi Arabia. It also investigates the effect of using this method on the productive and receptive abilities of the students. Part of this study investigates which is easier to learn nouns or verbs. The subjects of the study were 20 freshmen. They were divided into two groups; one to be taught using the Total Physical Response method and the other using the translation method. Data was collected using two immediate tests and two delayed tests for each group. The final results showed that the group who were taught using the Total Physical Response method outperformed the other group and that their ability in retaining more words receptively after a delayed period of time was significantly better than the translation method group. Finally, the study did not prove which is easier to recall verbs or nouns, as the result showed that there was no clear difference between the ability to recall verbs and the ability of recalling nouns.

Vesiculobullous lesions comprises of a group of heterogeneous skin diseases, treatment of which greatly depend upon correct diagnosis. There is overlap in clinical and histopathological features of various autoimmune vesiculobullous lesions. Such overlap is more so with subepidermal lesions where the role of Immunofluorescence is critical. A diagnosis based solely on clinical and histological findings may not be accurate. Direct Immunofluorescence is extremely useful in distinguishing closely related groups. This forms the basis of this study which aims to evaluate the role of Direct Immunofluorescence and Histopathology in diagnosis of vesiculobullous lesions. A total of 58 skin biopsies of suspected vesiculobullous lesions were studied over a period of 2 years. For Direct Immunofluorescence biopsies Optimally Diluted Fluorescein Isothiocyanate (FITC) labeled monospecific Immunoglobulins viz IgG, IgA, IgM and C3 was layered over the sections and incubated. Sections were then examined under fluorescent microscope and the type and pattern of Immunoreactant. For histopathological analysis formalin fixed skin biopsy of the vesiculobullous lesion was processed, stained with Hand E stain and then observed under light microscope Slight male preponderence was noted with 55.2% males as oppose to 44.8% females. Bullous pemphigoid constituted the most common vesiculobullous disorders with 27.9%% followed by pemphigus vulgaris 22.4%. Peak incidence was seen between 40-49 yrs for pemphigus and 70 to 80 in Bullous Pemphigoid. DIF was done for all cases.DIF showed positive findings. In 15 cases there was discordance between the clinical diagnosis and the final diagnosis offered considering both histopathological and DIF findings. 5 cases showed discordance between histopathological diagnosis and DIF findings. Out of these cases in 3 cases DIF was helpful and in another 2 cases final diagnosis was arrived by Histopathology.DIF was thus helpful in few overlapping cases. It should be used in conjugation with Histopathology and Clinical features to get the best diagnostic yield.

Elizabethkingia meningoseptica is an emerging pathogen known to cause meningitis, pneumonia, endocarditis, bacteremia, wound & soft tissue infection, abdominal, respiratory and ocular infections, dialysis associated peritonitis and prosthesis associated septic arthritis; especially in immunodeficient hosts. We are reporting an uncommon case of nosocomial septicemia due to Elizabethkingia meningoseptica in a 56 year old male admitted with hypoglycemic encephalopathy. Patient had squamous cell carcinoma and was receiving chemotherapy. Using biochemical tests and VITEK 2 automated (Biomerieux) Identification and Antimicrobial Sensitivity Test (AST) system, the isolate was identified as Elizabethkingia meningoseptica and was found sensitive to Trimethoprim-Sulfamethoxazole only. His condition improved gradually after starting Trimethoprim-Sulfamethoxazole and repeat blood culture was sterile. To our knowledge from literature review, this is the first reported case of multidrug resistant Elizabethkingia meningoseptica septicemia from North India.

Background: Researchers have different views about the working status of the mother and its effect on children. Some believe that children of working mothers are getting more suffered and become more neglected as they are not getting enough time to spend with their mother and that may result in development of behavioral problems in children. And some have the opinion that the children of working mother become self conscious, smart, obedient, punctual etc. Objectives: To assess the performance, behavioural problems of adolescents and working status of mother, to assess the effect of maternal working status on the performance and behavioural problems of adolescents. Materials and Methods: The effect of maternal working status on behavioural problems and performance among 300 school going adolescents selected by non probability purposive sampling from 2 selected schools at Mangaluru was done using quantitative study approach and descriptive study design. Chi square and fishers exact test statistics were computed to determine significant relationships between variables and p-value was set at 0.05 significant levels. Results: The study was done among 162 male and 132 female adolescents in the age group of 12-16 years. The findings of the study showed that out of 300 adolescents, 78 mothers of adolescents are working and 222 are not working. Most of the adolescents 58.0% (174) belonged to normal and 27.7% (83) belonged to borderline and 14.3% (43) belonged to abnormal SDQ score. Though maternal working status was found to have significant effect of on the behavioral problems of adolescents, statically, no association was found between maternal working status and behavioral problems. Maternal working status was found to have significant effect on performance of adolescents. Religion was found to have a significant relation with the behavioral problems of adolescents Conclusion: The study finding cannot be generalized as the sample size is 300. The findings of the study point to the need for supporting working Indian mothers so that they balance work life as well as personal life effectively and learn to spend quality time with her family and care her children.

Water quality of various eutrophicated ponds was studied before and after ecotechnique restoration measures and remarkable improvement of the various physic-chemical parameters were observed. The various parameters studied included Transparency, PH, Dissolved Oxygen, Turbidity, Total Phosphate, Total Nitrate and total Chlorophyll content of the water bodies. Restoration trials were made through Physico Ecotechnological Engineering Application (PEEN) using biofiltration and bio-remediation. The improvement of various parameters indicated the success of the technology ready for environmental improvement in large scale basis.
