THE PECULIARITIES OF SYSTEMATIZATION OF ADULTS GROUPS AS THE TARGET AUDIENCE OF NON-FORMAL EDUCATION

The article is devoted to the theoretical analysis of systematization issues of adults groups as the target audience of the educational market. To determine the leading guidelines for the provision of non-formal education services for adult population the following main processes were investigated, namely: segmentation, categorization, classification and periodization. The basic concepts such as “adult”, “adulthood”, and “adult population” are considered. The generalized categories for the systematization of adult population are defined by age, sex, marital status, education, employment, profession, position, wealth, financial status, etc. The article provides examples of categorization, classification, perio¬dization of the adult population according to the common general and specific characteristics, categories, periods. Socially important quantitative indicators of age periodization of the adult population such as the age of majority, age of criminal and administrative responsibility, young age, working age, the age of marriage are considered separately.
