Previous research has consistently shown that the implementation of BIM has brought tremendous benefits to clients. A number of countries around the world especially among the developed nations have realized the vast opportunities that BIM brings and have thus been investing to develop their own capability. In Malaysia, BIM is still in the infancy stage as it currently stands. As such, the implementation of BIM is likely to face a number of challenges in its adoption. Therefore, the aim of this research is to measure the potential of value of BIM implementation from the perspective of client organisation. A 25-item questionnaire was piloted and randomly distributed to 500 private clients organisations in Malaysia, which yielded 13% response rate. Rasch measurement model was employed in the analysis of responses from 65 clients’ organisations using WINSTEPS version 3.73. Preliminary results showed that clients’ organisations were divided into five groups according to separation strata namely: innovators (n=2); late adopters (n=9); early majority (n=23); late majority (n=9); and laggards (n=7). The most competent group had logit score of Pmax = +6.17 while the logit score for the least competent group, Pmin = -6.00. Preliminary findings suggest that Malaysia is on the right track to implement BIM like in other developed countries.

Image Mosaicing is an active research area in computer vision and computer graphics. Image mosaicing is the process of combining two or more images of the same scene into one high resolution image which is called panoramic image mosaicing. Image mosaicing techniques can be categorized into two general approaches: direct and feature based techniques. Direct techniques compare all the pixel intensities of the images with each other, whereas feature based techniques aim to determine a relationship between the images through distinct features extracted from the processed images. Feature extraction is the process of extracting the invariant features from the images. Several methods were proposed earlier for the feature extraction like Harris corner detector and scale invariant feature transform (SIFT), which are difficult and time consuming for real time applications. The wavelet feature extraction is not effective because of decomposing the image into wavelet subspaces at various scales and extracting key point by decomposing low frequency coefficients to get high frequency coefficients. And also wavelets will give an orientation variant feature which is not suitable for much application like image mosaicing. To achieve a better feature extraction a novel method is introduced and implemented by using complex wavelet packets. Here the image decomposed into wavelet subspaces at various scales and extracting key point by decomposing high frequency coefficients to get high frequency coefficients. This makes feature extraction very simple and more effective at different scales to get strong key point. Implementation results show that the feature extraction by using the proposed method is more reliable for real time applications when compared with existing methods.

The Content-based image re-ranking system retrieves the images by evaluating the visual features of the images. As there is a gap between visual concept and semantic meaning, the result does not show accuracy. To deal with this problem, the image re-ranking using semantic signature is used. The universal data set is reduced to semantic space, hence contains less images for computation. Also by calculating semantic meanings, it captures the user intension and gives accurate results. The duplicate images may occur in the re-ranked result. We have overcome the disadvantage of the image re-ranking using the semantic signature system by removing the duplicate images at the time of re-ranking. Also, we compact the semantic signature by using the hashing technique. It results in the improvement of matching efficiency. The re-ranking technique using hashed semantic signature shows better results than the re-ranking technique using semantic signature.

This investigation is aimed to utilize the benefits of self-curing compound poly ethylene glycol 600 in conventional concrete. The present investigation involves the use of self-curing compound Polyethylene glycol (PEG) of molecular weight 600 for varying dosages ranging between 0.1-2 percent. The strength class 30 MPa was considered. Workability tests such as slump test, compacting factor test and vee-bee consistency tests were conducted on the fresh concrete whereas compressive strength and sorptivity were evaluated to determine the durability properties of hardened concrete. The results indicate that PEG 600 of dosage of 1.5% gives better durability characteristics to 30MPa conventional concrete.

At the end of the 1960s, a collaboration of physicists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) studied the inner structure of nucleons by passing a high-energy beam of electrons through liquid hydrogen. In the mid-1980s experimental results indicated that essentially none of a nucleon’s spin was attributable to its quarks’ spins. That surprise birthed the “spin crisis.” EMC deep inelastic experiment using a polarized muon beam scattering on a polarized hadron target has raised serious question about spin crisis. The proton spin crisis (sometimes called the proton spin puzzle) is a theoretical crisis precipitated by an experiment carried out by EMC (European Muon collaboration) in 1987 at CERN. This experiment has shocked the particle physics community; none or little proton's spin can be attributed to the spin of three constituent quarks, two up and one down quark. The concept of rotating proton has been first emphasized by Chou and Yang in 1974. In continuation, there were several attempts; the baryon magnetic moment has been executed to explain the importance of constituent quark rotation. In 1999 M Casu and LM Sehgal in his paper proposed a successful model with collective quark rotation is used in discussing proton's spin and baryon magnetic moment. After this so many attempts has been tried to get the fitting parameters to the experimental results. Li and X Cai a model with collective quark rotation is used with great success to get the better fits to the experimental results. The contribution from the orbital angular moment with some additional modifications we have calculated to better fits.

Power optimization is a very crucial issue in low voltage applications. This paper presents a design of D-Flip flop circuit using AVL techniques for low power operation. It reduces the value of total power dissipation of applying the adaptive voltage level at ground (AVLG) technology in which the ground potential is raised and adaptive voltage level of supply (AVLS) in which supply potential is increased. The main aim of the design is to investigate the power dissipation for D-Flip flop for the proposed design style. The simulation results show the there is a significant reduction in power consumption of this proposed cell with the AVL technique. The AVLS technique has less power dissipation 1.13 nwatts compared to AVLG technique 2.25 nwatts. The circuit is designed using H-Spice 130nm technology.
