The study of media culture and virtual world requires knowledge and skills of the analysis of media texts of different levels of complexity. In this sense, the cinematic legacy of the great French writer, screenwriter and filmmaker Alain Robbe-Grillet (1922-2008) gives productive opportunities for the analysis of works of the elite media culture and fits well into the main range of media education goals of higher education (especially in the training of future culture experts, art historians, sociologists, linguists, psychologists, teachers). The article examines the main approaches to the analysis of art house media texts of A. Robbe-Grillet in the context of media education.

This article deals with the features of the Philippine educational system. Additionally, brief and concise information will be given on how the educational system came into existence, the organization and the structure of the system itself. This paper also tackles the obstacles and problems observed in the past and up to the present, and gives possible solutions to these. We also made sure to give some useful recommendations and suggestions on how the education system can be improved, which were enlightened by the steps taken by some wealthy neighboring countries in the region. Based on the study, further understanding of the shortcomings of the country, not only in education but also in the essential aspect of nationalism, were found. The originality of this work can be seen in the brief explanation of the Philippine educational system, as well as its historical aspects, and the detailed comparison of different eras of the educational system.

This study is focused on career self-efficacy of young (15–16 and 17–18 years old) basketball players. The total number of participants was 116 basketball players, aged 15–16 and 108, aged 17–18. The questionnaire method (Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale) was used in the study. It has found that career of young basketball players, aged 17–18 if compared to the ones, aged 15–16 (p <0.05) is chiefly based on the vicarious experience, verbal persuasion, positive emotional arousal and good breeding.

This paper discusses a number of issues and problems associated with the use of computer models in the study of geometry in university, as well as school mathematics in order to improve its efficiency. We show that one of the efficient ways to solve a number of problems in nowadays mathematics education is to use dynamic geometry environment GeoGebra. We also provide some examples of computer models created with GeoGebra.
