The article is devoted to the formation process of the military-industrial base in Georgia during the Great Patriotic War. Georgia made a significant contribution to the defeat of the fascist regime.
The country has gained an extensive experience in a national economy. The war set difficult challenges for the economics, agriculture and all national economy. All sectors of the economy were subordinated to the interests of the front, so the front is more and more needed arms, ammunition, uniforms and food.
Industrial production in short term had to switch to the military production. That demanded a radical restructuring of all industries, changing the entire structure of production, retraining, local production of raw materials in terms of war. Workers of the Republic endured all the difficulties associated with the restructuring of the economy and agriculture.
