For evaluating and ranking variant solutions of organizational and technological systems, the paper presents two models of which the basic difference is whether criteria for variants evaluation and ranking are predetermined or not. The model choice depends on the evaluation and ranking purpose as well as on a particular case itself. The procedure of evaluating and ranking variant solutions in the phases of design and redesign is extremely complex and implies solving a sequence of specific problems depending on the evaluation purpose. The paper presents the solving of specific problems such as: reaching the system characteristics quantification, great number of evaluation criteria, great number of variants and ranking (especially multicriteria ranking).
This article deals with the problem of dislocating mobile items inventory at the army level. A suggestion to redefine the existing definition has been given, considering the environmental changes. A definition of dispersion of mobile items at the brigade level and the problem of dislocating production resources important for combat operations, has been considered as well. Possibilities to improve decision making methodology based on logistics principles and planning has been also considered.
Some parameters important for the process of tank design were considered in the paper. These parameters are related to the tank layout, armored protection armament, ammunition, basic dimensions, ground pressure and tank mass. The mutual arrangement of engine, transmission and crew was analyzed and the basic performances of power plant and the running gear were considered. Some aspects of human engineering were pointed out as well.
Military technical resources grow old very quickly and become inferior to those of the enemy who follows trends in development of arms and combat systems and accordingly equip its army. One of very rational and efficient ways of reaching the technical level of a possible enemy is modernization of existing arms and military equipment. Well prepared and efficiently carried out modernization improves the level of combat readiness and effectiveness of military equipment in a very rational and economically justified way, and therefore it is very often applied in the world.
The paper deals with the existing guns maintenance system with the focus on preventive maintenance technology actions. Preventive maintenance technology actions are analyzed by complexity, needed technology elements and their influence on availability. As a representative AP 7,62 mm M-70 and its types is chosen. The analyzed data are from a real maintenance system. Possible analysis-based improvements are suggested.
The aim of this work was to investigate the magnetic flux density and the electric field intensity of the very low frequency (VLF) band around 42 video display terminals. The results of measurement showed that the magnetic flux density (5 nT - 210 nT) and the electric field intensity (0,1 V/m-6,0 V/m) at the distance of 30 cm of the screen did not exceed levels for professional exposure and levels for living environment from international guidelines.
The JUS ISO 9000 quality system is analyzed as well as its application in a processing industry enterprise. Activities put together according to job similarity, working post and sequence of order are analyzed in detail. It is concluded that the highest-level management, in charge for the organization at the enterprise level, has the greatest responsibility for quality control.
