The results of an experimental testing of the roll aileron of an existing projectile, carried out in the T-38 wind tunnel of the Military Technical Institute, are given in the paper. Representing a 2 doff gyroscope, roll ailerons are used as the simplest devices for decreasing angular velocity. Fixed on wing tips, they consist of ailerons which support massive cogged rotors. Air energy is used for rotor rotation. A roll aileron of a defined geometry, with an appropriate rotor, is described in the paper. The testing objective was to measure the rotor rotation rate and hinge moment as a function of the roll aileron deflection angle and the Mach number.

The issue of the initial, transient, non-stationary regime in the queuing system simulation modeling has been an important and still intriguing question for decades. A theoretical approximation for determining the relaxation time in the queuing process was used to show importance and effects of the transient regime on the measures of queuing system performances. The paper also offers the author's view on the nature of the initial transient regime issue as well as a possible way to tackle it.

The paper presents the design of the 1:250 000 military topographic map in the Military Geographical Institute (MGI) in accordance with NATO standards and in a digital form. Other states' experiences in designing military topographic and cartographic systems and maps can be compared with those of the MGI's. The procedures of producing and updating military topographic maps are computer aided while particular phases are automated to a great extent.
