This paper deals with the application of the Lambert guidance to the ballistic missile. By using the fundamental equation for the velocity-to-be-gained, the demanded command for the thrust angle is developed in terms of the rotational factor of its direction. The developed formula requires the Q-matrix which links a differential change in the missile position vector to the corresponding differential change in the correlated velocity for the fixed target position and the constant time of free flight. The choice of the rotational parameter provides different profiles of the missile attitude and flight path angle with time. By adjusting the rotational parameter for the thrust vector, the cut-off of the rocket engine can occur at zero angle of attack and the initial perturbations during free flight may be thus reduced.
Due to a complex geometrical shape of the rocket motor of the ejection seat, the rocket motor thrust occurs under certain angle in relation to the plane of symmetry of the ejection seat. A number of tests were carried out in order to determine thrust intensity and angle of attack. The rocket motor thrust was measured on the multicomponent test stand. The ejection seat whit a dummy simulating a mass of a pilot was tested during ejection. The paper presents an analysis of the ejection seat flight in the initial phase of ejection, during the rocket motor running. The results of the acceleration read-outs were processed and then used for the determination of the characteristics of the ejection seat flight. A theoretical model of the ejection seat flight is given in the paper.
In this work made presentation of NIJ 0115.04. (National Institute of Justice) standard, witch purpose is to establish minimum performance requirements and methods of testing for the stab resistance of body armor intended to protect the torso against slash and stab threats. The scope of the standard is limited to stab resistance only; the standard does not address ballistic threats, as those are covered by NIJ Standard 0101.04. Ballistic Resistance of Personal Body Armor.
In this paper some objective image fusion performance measures are described. The measures which can be used if ground truth or the ideal fused image is known are described as well as the measures which can be used if the ideal fused image cannot be obtained manually or via a reliable procedure. The objective image fusion performance measures are compared by analyzing the results of five different image fusion methods.
In this paper the basic characteristics of the VPN networks are presented. The VPN networks on the second and the third level of the OSI reference model are analyzed. The realization of the IP VPN and VPN networks within MPLS environment is presented as well. Security in MPLS networks is one of the most important characteristics, especially in military communication systems, which is shown in the second part of this paper.
This paper presents a short review of the state in physics education at the beginning of the 21st century. Short reviews of investigations into physics teaching and application of new technologies, i.e. computers, in physics teaching are given as well. Different ways of computer applications are presented. Teaching method requirements are suggested in order to improve teaching by using PCs.
A new national Occupational and Safety Law brings many new obligations for employers and among them activities related to risk assessment procedures. A project of developing a software package for conducting a risk assessment procedure in the workplace and in the work environment was initiated, based on needs generated by significant legislation changes in the domain of occupational safety and health. All of previous should be a basis for further upgrading to the level of an integrated software solution in the domain of occupational safety and health.
Gear mesh stiffness in planetary gearing is one of the main generators of internal dynamic forces. It is necessary in describing dynamic behavior of planetary trains, i.e. in defining their equations of dynamic balance. This paper presents a methodological approach to experimental and analytical calculation of stiffness in planetary gearing.
This work presents the SWOT analysis application to the intermodal transportation system in the Army of Serbia. The analysis resulted in defining goals for the future development of intermodal transportation, as well as possible problems generated by strategic management.
