There is lot of demand for alternative fuels as fossil fuels are expending day by day. Oils from seeds of plants are acceptable for diesel fuel, as there is no necessary for swapping engine model. But snag related to oils from seeds of plants like glutinous consistency and low flammable characteristics led to change of oils from seeds of the plant into biodiesel by the process known as esterification. However, biodiesel has moderate viscosity which calls for low heat rejection o bTDC with respect to normal engine operated by diesel at 27 o bTDC and a pressure of injection of 190 bars.

The use of robots has increased exponentially in the 21 st century due to improvement in the design of drives, actuators and control electronics. Bio-inspired robots are robots which use electro-mechanical motion to achieve near natural movement of the animal they represent. Stealth and energy efficiency are amongst qualities obtainable from nature inspired movements. The design and construction of a robot fish is an attempt into bio-mimicry. This project entails the use of conventional, cheap and off the shelf mechanical mechanisms to achieve the anguilliform motion of a typical African Catfish. A geared motor driven crank and telescopic connecting rod mechanism is used to achieve the undulating motion of the tail. This created the propulsion needed to achieve the surging motion. The pectoral The fish was able to achieve a speed of 0.1m/s and submerged in 4 secs during the tests. The test was done in nonflowing water. The fin movement, buoyancy variation and propulsion were achieved during the test.

Pipe inspection is of great importance for assessing the integrity of the pipe in various pipeline industries. Pipe inspection eliminates human intervention from hazardous environments and accidents. There are multiple pipe inspection methods like X-ray, Magnetic acoustic testing, eddy current testing, and visual inspection, but pipe inspection using a robotic system is a promising one. A pipe inspection robot is usually fitted with a camera and other sensors that carry out a check. Due to geometrical changes of pipe-like joints, couplings, T sections, reducers, valves, while designing pipe inspection robots, various factors such as restricted manoeuvrability, complex designing, steering designing, adhesive forces during vertical motion have to be considered. This makes it necessary for proper designing and selection of mechanisms. Therefore, this paper provides a systematic review of various models that are available for pipe inspection. This paper will classify pipe inspection robots briefly into outer pipe inspection and inner pipe inspection robots.

In this present work, a statistical approach based on Taguchi techniques and finite element analysis were adopted to determine degree of each parameter that is punch velocity, coefficient of friction, temperature and blank thickness on the formability of cups from Nickel 201 using warm deep drawing process. The results obtained from finite element software namely DEFORM were validated experimentally. The blank thickness, temperature and coefficient of friction have been found influencing the quality of the cup drawn from Nickel201.

Assembly injection moulding is an advanced and highly integrative technique for producing mechatronic systems, with a broad range of choices. This is because it incorporates several technological functions in one manufacturing process, such as shells and close up of many components completed of various materials. Combining different materials, in particular, is both a significant technical advantage and a significant challenge. The tightening of the system is a big objective. This paper provides a model to help researchers better understand how leakage happens and the processes that underpin it, such as contract age and war page behaviors that are affected by material, repetition, and design. In this study, effect of welding parameters on microstructure and mechanical properties of dissimilar austenitic AISI304 stainless steel/ductile cast iron DCI A536 joints was investigated. Plates of ductile cast iron (DCI) with 6mm thickness were manufactured, heat treated and inspected at CMRDI casting laboratory. The main welding parameters studied in this work are welding technique (with and without buttering layer at DCI side) and type of filling electrodes. Electrode types applied for this dissimilar joint included Inconel 182 (ENiCrFe-3), cast-iron- Ni-Fe-electrode (ENiFe-CI), and stainless-steel electrodes E309L. Microstructure of welded joints was investigated using optical microscope and scanning electron microscope (SEM) equipped with EDX instrument. Mechanical properties of welded joints were evaluated by hardness test, tensile and Charpy notch impact tests. In general, when using buttering technique at DCI side, it acts as obstacle layer to minimize carbon migration from DCI side to the weld and reduce formation of carbides in weld metal. The sample welded using buttering layer (ER Cu Al-A2) and filling groove with electrode ENiCrFe-3 had better mechanical properties compared with same sample without buttering technique.

The needs of lighter automotive components have enhanced the application of thin wall casting technology on ductile iron which is known as Thin Wall Ductile Iron (TWDI). In the current research, TWDI was produced using vortex technique with different thicknesses of 5, 10 and 15mm. Vortex technique is a modern method for producing high quality ductile iron. This aims at producing TWDI with high nodularity and high mechanical properties. The shape of cast samples had a dimension of 154mm x 120mm for each plate with different thicknesses of 5, 10 and 15mm. They cut into pieces for determining the mechanical properties such as tensile, hardness and wear resistance as well as microstructures of these casted alloys. The results show that the microstructures of the three casted samples were composed of pearlite, ferrite and nodular graphite. Maximum hardness of 300 HB was obtained for 5mm thickness sample and the minimum one of 250 HB was for 15mm thickness sample. Maximum tensile strength and wear resistance were obtained for 5mm thickness sample due to existing of high amount of pearlite and the minimum values were resulted for 15 mm thickness sample. Therefore, TWDI can be considered as substitutional material of steel sheets and can produce spare parts which save cost and 10% in weight as compared to steels.
