Indian society mainly has deep rooted close connection of family system, where Indian women has the role to play as nurturers and caretakers of whole family. India, in her transition phase, post independence faced lot of challenges at all levels of the society. With modernization and globalization, India people were worried with future and culture shocks. It was big paradigm shift for Indian closed mindsets. Out of the need of the hour, situations and circumstances, and many reasons led Indian women to go out for work for living. Soon, the concept of egalitarian society and women empowerment at every stage from Indian girls to Indian women reach the horizon of their career. But it was found that even after reaching to top, Indian women have to work wholly on her family roles. Stages comes into life of women – from marriage to children to care takers and other extremes situations, where she has to compromise in career. Hence it is the need to examine the phenomenon of the work-life balance of Indian women professionals in greater depth. The key research question: To identify the core reasons and challenges Indian women face for effective work life balance? To determine the work life balance and its related factors influence the Indian women professionals? To develop the strategies to apply for satisdfying work-family balance. First the emerging themes must be understood in the light of the literature on work-family balance. Then conclusions to be drawn on how women professionals in India manage their lives.

Merger and Acquisition is the most effective ways to accelerate the growth implementation plan of companies. All industries has been using M&A as an aggressive strategy for growth. Merger and acquisition in is not a new concept and burst in M&A has given further space to companies to look for integration for their growth, market coverage or any other strategic requirement. The present research paper aims at studying the impact of mergers and acquisition on the financial performance of corporate sector in India. (On acquiring companies) For the purpose of analysis list of data of 6 companies has been considered from period 2012-2017. The result suggested that there is no significant change on the financial performance of corporate sector in India after merger.

The present endeavour focused on the industrial dispute scenario in J&K state and with special emphasis on the causes of disputes in the cement industry in J&K. The study found that over the period of time there has been gradual decline observed in the number of disputes in J&K but it has been experienced from the statistics that Jammu division is showing the presence of more disputes than other districts of the state. In addition to this, the study highlighted the issues namely recruitment, promotion and wages as the responsible factor for the causes of disputes in cement industry in J&K state. To create a harmonious relationship in the organisations, the policy makers and management should take into consideration the people at younger age group with fair level of experience and qualification so as to make efficient output by utilization the most important assets of the organizations. The policy maker should take into consideration proper follow up for the disputes that come under the different acts and try to make the settlement machinery more effective and powerful so that the disputes are settled very effectively and efficiently.

Adolescence is characterized by several social and emotional changes that include labile emotions, exploring and asserting of personal identity, independence, self-centred attitudes, testing rules and boundaries. Adolescents are intensively curious and have a wide range of intellectual pursuits but show disinterest in conventional learning styles. The researcher felt that comprehensive study on study skills is required to understand adolescents’ learning behaviour. Study Skills are the abilities applied in learning. Theorizing of study skills are supported by five important theoretical frameworks such as, social learning, cognitive problem solving, Constructivist Psychology, Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological Systems and multiple intelligence theory. The study skills assessment scale is a tool developed by the researchers as a self- administered one to a group or to individuals. The scale includes several items which asses the overall level of the individual’s study skills. Respondents answer in a 5-point Likert scale ranging from 1to5. The study skills include time management, learning motivation, memory, concentration, association, comprehension, taking notes, preparation for examinations, textbook reading, consultation with teachers and home work. The study skills assessment scale was constructed with due diligence and extensive field observations to ensure the internal and external validity. The item analysis of the scale was carried out, determining the high score and low score and the relevance of scale. The validity was established through validation of each item by a team of experts in the field of psychology and education. The suggestions given by the experts were incorporated while finalising the items. Pilot tests were conducted among rural and urban including male and female school going adolescents. The reliability of individual items and total was calculated using split half method, test-retest and Cronbach’s alpha. The reliability score of the scale is shown as .90.

The Emotional Intelligence (EI) is an imperative concept to meet thought of the structure goals via better work performance of the executives working in the organization. In this study was planned to check the character and pattern of an empirical investigation among the performance of work and EI of executives working in the banking sector. Interview schedules consisting of 16 items (EI) and 15 items (work performance) were used. The findings of this study showed that work performance in scheduled commercial bank executives has high degree of correlation with EI.

Every human thrives for an identity for themselves; they like to be known to others. The characteristics, beliefs, values, behaviours and thoughts all together form the identity of an individual. In other words it can be said as the concept that is developed about oneself. Neuroticism is one of the big five personality factor which basically the emotional instability of a person. The feelings of anxiety, rumination, fear and frustration is high in individuals who are high in neuroticism. The researchers of this study made an attempt to investigate the connection between personal identity and neuroticism of a person. This area is less studied and thus the study follows the exploratory research design to gain new insights and understandings of the association. The exploration included 127 late adolescents who fall under the age ranging from 18 – 19 years. The participants were selected from 4 different educational institutions, using systematic sampling technique. Aspects of Identity Questionnaire by Cheek, J. M. & Briggs, S. R. (2013) and Eysenck's personality Inventory, Short Form (1985) were administered to the participants. A statistical analysis of the data is done using parametric tests (Pearson Product Moment Correlation and Independent Sample t test). The results of the data showed a significant negative relationship between personal identity and neuroticism. And also there did not exist any gender difference among the variables of the study. The implication, limitations and suggestions of the study are discussed in the paper.

The primary objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between job demands with burnout and job resources with engagement. Primary data collected through face to face interaction by providing the structured questionnaire with five-point Likert scale is considered for rating. Secondary data obtained from journals, magazines, and internet. Overall 120 sample respondents chosen for the study. Group C and Group D employees are the targeted samples of the study. Data is analyzed systematically by the correlation matrix and T-test of significance, the Correlation and pattern are calculated with the help of SPSS (22nd Version); T-test of relevance is calculated by using SmartPLS. In this research paper, the findings are distinctive and integrated. JD-R model investigation shows there is a healthy relationship between the Job resource and engagement. Researchers have found job demands are the causes of employees exhaust and cynicism, whereas the increase in the job resources of the organization will play a significant role in bringing the positive attitude of the employees. Physical and emotional demands are the critical factors affecting the employees. The JD-R model is a framework that can be used for Indian railways to reduce the job demands and increase the job resources, simultaneously to improve the personality of the employees and get the desired outcome.

More and more festivals are organized every year around the world, in big cities and villages alike, due to the numerous benefits they are perceived to bring at local and national levels. Past research show that fairs can bring positive benefits such as economic, social and community togetherness to their host community. In addition, fairs have the ability to create memorable experience for visitors, dampen negative images regarding host community, and create activities to motivate travelers. According to Getz (1991, 1997) festivals and public celebrations are seen as unique tourist attractions and destination image makers. Events and festivals also play a significant role in the lives of communities; enhance the local image of their host community (Getz, 1993). The experiences are base on the necessary services provided to the visitors. Therefore, the paper aims to examine visitor’s experiences about various services of a famous fair i.e. Surajkund Craft Fair, Faridabad (Haryana). A structured Likert-type questionnaire was used to collect the opinions of respondents. The data was analysed using various appropriate statistical tool and the findings are presented in last part of the paper alongwith suggestions. This research clearly indicates that the Safety and Security services is major attribute of Services. Which highest 73.6 per cent visitors respond very good and lowest 1.3 per cent visitors respond very poor.

There is a continuous need to ensure effective training to match up with such market requirements not to be the best but most importantly for the necessary survival. The primary objective of this paper is to conduct a comprehensive study and analysis of training and development process of IT Companies which would be helpful in highlighting the importance of discovering, harnessing and developing the human capital to the benefit of both the individual and the organization in today’s highly dynamic and competitive business world, having a special reference for managerial position. Thus the sample comprised of IT employees who were of manager rank and above. This paper tries to establish and identify the relationship between effectiveness of Training programs over productivity of employees and profits of IT organization. A survey of 128 employees of 5 IT companies in Delhi-NCR was conducted out of which sample size of 100 was taken for the study after eliminating the irrelevant and incomplete data.

This business has a greater scope if it can be carried on in a formal manner. The manufacturing and trading of Peanut candy is heavily depend upon the agricultural produce of ground nuts and jaggery. The traditional native Peanut candy can be produced as it is with modified and differentiated varieties and shapes of peanut candies which would become the unique value proposition for the product in the market in comparison with other players.
