The rapid advancement of the internet of things (IoT), life is getting easier and simpler in all aspects. At present world, automatic systems are being favored over the manual system. Today’s world automation has become an inseparable part of ordinary households and subjects to constant evolution. IoT is a growing network of conventional object- from industry to consumer that can share information and complete jobs while you are involved with other activities. A smart home automation system can help to have a centralized method to control all home appliances. In this paper, a costeffective system is proposed to achieve such automation system based on IoT concept. All the devices of this system are connected to Raspberry Pi. The proposed system also provides a facility to control all home appliances locally without the internet via a local network. Raspberry Pi runs a web server to host a web -based control interface and a SQL database to maintain the current status of appliances. The interface can be accessed through the internet or locally without the internet. Besides our automatic re-start mechanism makes the system more efficient.

To use the capabilities of Information technology as a service, Cloud computing is one of the most useful methods. Cloud computing allows the users to access the services available on Internet without understanding or controlling the infrastructure. Nowadays, Cloud computing is getting used massively, hence the need of Fault tolerance in the cloud is a matter of inspection because of its reliability. Fault tolerance has a lot of benefits such as Fault Recovery, economical, better performance when we use them in Cloud Computing. The main purpose of utilizing Fault tolerance techniques in cloud computing has encouraged the capability of researchers to participate in the development of efficient algorithms. As a result, we can find out the advantages and disadvantages of Fault tolerance in cloud computing. In my paper, I introduced various fault-tolerance methods recently used in cloud computing and a relevant study is presented of various techniques and methods in the field of bug tolerance in cloud computing. With the help of studying and reviewing faulttolerant techniques, according to the requirements of the user, these techniques can be used for error tolerance capability measurement in cloudcomputing.

This project is designed to guide a visually impaired person to walk and avoid bumping into obstacles. Low-cost ultrasonic rangefinders along with a microcontroller are used to measure the distance to obstacles and if they are close enough to provide feedback to the user in form of beeps or vibrations. The project is made on a small single layer PCB. It is a portable project which is mounted on a metal plate such that it can be fixed on any belt type structure. The sensors are not mounted on the PCB but they are mounted in the front of the plate and connected to the main board using wires. It’s designed exactly like a mobile carrying case used on belts.
