From the hygienic point of view a day routine, providing all kinds of children’s activity and rest, taking into account their age peculiarities, is an important component of the process of children’s vital functions.
Task of the work was determination of the duration and the dissemination of the separate kinds of activity and rest in a whole routine balance of a day routine for senior grades of different school types.
Methods: questionairing of the 15-17-th grades` pupils of both genders studying at the lyceums and the gymnasia’s (285 pupils), urban (293 pupils) and rural (244 pupils) secondary schools of the cities of Kyiv, Vinnitsa, the Kyiv and the Vinnitsa regions.
Results. Reduction of a night sleep duration, insufficient staying in a fresh air, a low motor activity and a long duration of TV programs among a significant percentage of the senior aged schoolchildren has been revealed.
The mentioned routine issues disturb significantly the hygienic principles of the organization of the schoolchildren’s day routine. It doesn’t favor preservation and strengthening of their health. Structure changes in a free time of schoolchildren, redistribution of leisure time balance and active rest forms into passive ones are exhibited factually in a decrease of a density of physical training and sports, staying in a fresh air, and in their turn, lead to a hypodynamia and should be assessed as a risk factor in the development of chronic non-infectious diseases.
