Skin is the largest integumentary organ of our body, both in surface area and weight. Any disease affecting the skin can affect the beauty as well as the personality of a person. Mukhadooshika is a kshudraroga characterised by the formation of shalmalikantakavat-saruja-ghana-medogarbha pidaka. In contemporary science, Mukhadooshika can be correlated to Acne vulgaris, which is the chronic inflammation of the pilosebaceous units. There are different modalities of treatment prevailing in the contemporary science for the management of Acne vulgaris. But these options have their own limitations. Ayurveda provides many safe and effective methods of treatment for various skin problems. In the context of Mukhadooshika chikitsa, Acharyas explains both shodhana and shamana methods. Different types of lepa are mentioned in various texts and Lodhradi Lepa is one such combination. Lodhradi Lepa contains three ingredients: Lodhra,Vacha and Dhanyaka, in equal proportions. In the present case study, a female patient aged 23 years presented in our OPD with pimples on face associated with pain, itching and burning sensation since 7 years. Lodhradi Lepa application was done for the same and significant results were found. Assessment was done clinically and results were recorded with photographs.

Shalakya Tantra is one of the Ashtangas of Ayurveda which deals with diseases above the clavicle. Even though Sushruta Samhita is considered as the main text book of Shalakya Tantra, there are many other Ayurvedic granthas where we get references about Urdwajatrugata vikaras which are still not known to many. One such Samhita is Harita Samhita written by Acharya Harita based on the teachings of his preceptor Punarvasu Atreya. Out of 103 chapters 7 chapters are fully dedicated for Shalakya vyadhis and its treatment. Hence an attempt is made to explore the hidden knowledge and formulations of Shalakya Tantra from Harita Samhita for the scope of further study and to explore the view of Acharya Harita about urdwajatrugata vikaras to the Ayurvedic Scholars.

Women are the backbone of a progressing world. She goes through many changes during her life cycle. Menopause is certainly one of those innings where she goes through a period of transition both physiologically and psychologically. The age of menopause ranges from 45-55years, average being 50 years. It is during menopause that she suffers from vasomotor symptoms, urogenital symptoms, sexual dysfunction. Ayurveda describes Rajanivritti (menopause) as complete cessation of menstruation. Proper understanding of menopause is important in curing the menopausal symptoms as well as motivating her. Ayurveda enlightens about the importance of Ahara (nutritional food), Vihar (day to day activities) and counselling. Various management available in Ayurvedic classics including Upakarmas (gynecological procedures), medicinal preparations to cure menopausal symptoms works effectively.

Ayurveda describes various treatment of Sthaulya that includes both Shodhana and Shaman Auoshadha. Lekhana Basti is mentioned in Ayurvedic texts, for the management of Santarpanottha Vyadhi. Shodhana in the form of Basti karma is mentioned as unique treatment modality in Sthaulya specially with the drugs which are of ushna, tikshna, lekhana guna that help in combating Kapha and medodushti. The ideal shamana in the treatment of Sthaulya is usage of Vata, kaphahara, and Medohara properties. Trayushnadya Loha is mentioned in Yogaratnakara as Shaman Auoshadha. This article delves to an interesting case of a 40-yearold male presented with Daurgandhya, Ayaseswaskashtata, Anga Gaurava, Atikshudha, Atipipasa, Alpa Vyavaya, Chala Sphika, Chala Udara, Chala Stana, Utshah Hani/Alasya, Daurbalya (Alpa Vyayam), Nidradhikya, Anga Shaithilya for past 2 years. For the same he visited for Ayurvedic treatment at Dept. of Kayachikitsa, Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Puri, Orissa. He was diagnosed as a case of Sthaulya/ Obesity. As per Ayurvedic classics, this condition we have taken as Medoroga. Hence, the line of treatment we have adopted Shodhana which included Lekhana Basti along with Shaman Auoshadha as Trayushnadya Loha Vati. The outcome was very remarkable with the patient reduced his body weight and feeling better without any complication.

The nutritional components attained from Ahara are responsible for the formation of healthy human tissue and disease as well. As far as pediatrics is concern the very first text related to this branch describes Ahara as Mahabhaisajya (i.e., most effective medicine) The wide range of Ahara classification in Ayurveda permits the concept of individualized diet plan as per the body constitution. Child's physical and mental health are permanently impacted by their food and lifestyle choices from an early age. To understand the concept of child nutrition, a review of the literature from ancient Ayurvedic texts, journals, and surveys was conducted. We then presented this paper with a wholesome strategy for child nutrition using Ayurvedic concepts. In recent years Global and Indian market of formula feed and baby food products is growing fast, In India alone it expected to grow at the rate of 9% till 2027. This rise is a major concern for Additives and formula feed associated illness like chronic inflammation, hormonal disbalances, Obesity, Diabetes and PCOS in pediatric age group. In Ayurveda children are divided into three categories i.e., Ksheerap, Ksheerannada, and Annad Awastha. In pediatrics, nutrition from womb to adolescent is unique and age dependent due to different nutritional requirement at different stage of life. This paper focuses on the same and related ayurveda concepts, ideal diet as per age.

Background - The main component of life that it depends on is aahara. The consumption of ekarasa aahara has increased significantly as a result of the considerable changes in eating patterns brought about by globalisation. This is the primary reason why so many illnesses have emerged in the society. Objectives - The current literary exploration intends to compile pertinent references on sarvarasas and build the idea of sarvarasabhyaaso balakaranaam. Materials & Methods - A thorough search of the Brihatrayis was conducted to gather references on sarvarasas, its impact on the bala of sharira, related ideas like saatmya & oja. To support these statements even further, references to databases, papers, and numerous additional text books were made. Citing such periodic references and making connections between them has improved comprehension of this idea for both theoretical and practical application. Observation and Discussion- After consulting numerous texts, using the Saamanya Vishesha Siddhanta, Tantrayuktis, and the concept of Guna, it is clear that sarvarasas have an impact on the dhatu poshana, oja formation, and ultimately the bala of sharira. Conclusion- This review article demonstrates the significance of sarvarasabhyasa in producing improved shaaririka bala, better comprehension, and use of this idea both in swastha & aatura by compilation & systematic arrangement of references.
