The aim of this paper is to study the relativity between oxidative stress and cervical squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) . Cervical cancer and healthy crowd cervical tissue were collected, and their content of Peroxiredoxin 6 (PRDX6) was measured and compared with Western Blot. PRDX6 was highly expressed in human CSCC tissue compared with healthy control, indicating that PRDX6 is a sensitive oxidative stress factor for the detection of cervical cancer.

Objective: This research investigated the effects of active and passive music therapy on the psychology with prepuce cerclage. Methods: 89 child patients were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group. Pains, fears and compliances of two groups were compared. Results: Patients in the treatment group felt less pain and anxiety than the control group. For compliances rated by nurses and surgeons, the treatment group performed better than the control group. Conclusion: Active and passive music therapy could effectively reduce pains, psychology of fear, and improve compliance of children with prepuce cerclage.

We presume that in addition to hormone therapy and operation of orchiopexy at proper age, application of vitamin A to patients with cryptorchidism at the age of 2~3 months and 4~5 years may be benefit to preventing male infertility and testicular cancer by promoting the spermatogonia differentiation and initiating meiosis.

Urothelial cells (UCs), with functional tight junctions, act as a barrier of urinary tract, autologous UCs provide a cell source for tissue engineering in urology, but healthy UCs might be not available under the circumstances of malignancy, infection and stones in urinary tract system. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from various tissues, such as bone marrow, adipose tissue, amniotic fluid and voided urine are investigated on urothelial differentiation for urinary tract regeneration. In this brief review we discussed urothelial differentiation of MSCs, especially urine derived stem cells, which provide potential application in urinary tract epithelial reconstruction.

The annual demand for therapeutic human serum albumin (HSA) is estimated to be more than 500 metric tons worldwide. As a major protein in the human body, HSA plays a vital role in many physiological processes, including the maintenance of oncotic pressure and the transportation of various biomolecules and pharmaceuticals. Currently, all HSA used for clinical blood expansion purposes is isolated from pooled human blood or plasma, an unpredictably fluctuating supply that can at times fall to dangerously low levels. Furthermore, this supply is derived from thousands of different donors and can potentially result in the spread of pathogenic contaminants to recipients. The use of transgenic animals, such as cattle, as living bioreactors, provides a potential solution to this problem by enabling the large-scale production of recombinant HSA (rHSA) in a cost-effective manner. Cattle are capable of producing large amounts of milk that can potentially yield abundant quantities of a desired recombinant protein. The production of rHSA in the milk of cattle would provide an economical resource that circumvents the current dependence on blood-derived sources. One challenge to this system, however, is the presence of endogenous bovine serum albumin (BSA) in the milk. BSA is a highly conserved ortholog of HSA that necessitates a tedious and prohibitively expensive purification process, which has up to now hindered the efficient purification of rHSA from bovine milk. Here we overview our approach to humanize the endogenous BSA gene, replacing it with an rHSA minigene construct, which should allow for normal expression of rHSA protein in the liver, as well as exogenous expression of rHSA in the milk. The future generation of such cattle supports the potential for a safer and more reliable source of therapeutic rHSA.
