Five geographical populations of Drosophila melanogaster from different latitudinal sites were analysed for their reproductive potential by measuring pre-adult life history traits such as fecundity, hatchability, viability and duration of development at usual growth temperature of 250C. The geographical patterns for fecundity, hatchability, viability and duration of development demonstrate positive correlation with latitude.
Pulsed electric field (PEF) processing is a emerging method of food preservation that uses short bursts of electricity for microbial inactivation (cell-lysis) and causes minimal or no detrimental effect on food quality attributes. PEF can be used for processing liquid and semi-liquid food products.
Diesel engines are widely used in many areas like automobiles, locomotive marine engines power generations etc., due to its high power output and thermal efficiency. Even though the diesel engines give more benefits, the human discomforts caused by the pollutant emission of these engines have to be considered. The major pollutant emissions of the diesel engines are particulate matters, smoke and the oxides of nitrogen (NOx).
The present experiment was done to make fruit bar using apple and banana pulp which was supplemented with omega-3 fatty acid. The objective of study was to evaluate physio-chemical, microbial, organoleptic parameters along with estimation of cost of fruit bar.
The objective of this paper is to modelling design and analysis of a cam and follower. This analysis is an important step for fixing an optimum size of a cam and follower. The model is created by the basic needs of an engine with the available background such as forces acting over the cam by means of valve while running at maximum speed. Here the approach becomes fully CAE based.
