Bu çalışmada İbn Arabî’nin berzah ve hayal kavramlarından hareketle genel olarak İslam sanatını, özel olarak da sanat eserini yeni baştan düşünmeyi deniyoruz. Bize göre İslam sanatı hem güncel hem de metafizik anlamda berzahta (“ara”da) bulunmaktadır. İlk olarak, bu sanat hâlihazırda “eski” ile “modern” arasında tereddütler geçirmektedir. Bu zor durumun dezavantajları yanı sıra avantajları vardır. Zira, hakkı verildiği takdirde, bu arada bulunuş, İslam sanatının zenginleştirici bir imkânına dönüştürülebilir. İkinci olarak, İslam sanatı tam da metafizik anlamda arada yani berzahta bulunmakta ve gerçekte verimlerini oradan devşirmektedir. İslam sanatı haddizatında aisthesis’ten ziyade ara-da-lık ile karakterize olan hayal’e dayanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada biz İslam sanatının metafiziğini İbn Arabî’ye ait berzah kavramıyla onunla özsel anlamda bağlantılı olan hayal kavramından hareketle yeni baştan düşünmeyi teklif ediyoruz. Bu maksatla da örnekler arasında bir örneğe, Süleymaniye Camisi örneğine başvuruyor ve bu eserin hakikatini “ara” kavramına müracaatla açıklığa kavuşturmayı deniyoruz. Bu çalışmada aynı zamanda eserden hareketle bir ara fenomenolojisi geliştirilmek amaçlanmaktadır. İslam sanatını değerlendirirken onun ardında yatan metafiziğe ve bu arada tasavvuf metafiziğine başvurmak gerekliliği bu çalışmada altı çizilen başka bir husustur. In this study we try to rethink Islamic art in general, and work of art in the specific manner with referance to İbn Arabi’s notions of barzakh (the between) and imagination. From our point of view, Islamic art is located in barzakh in both actual and metaphysical sense. First of all, this art already faces oscillations “between” ancient and modern. This difficult situation has advantages besides disadvantages. For if done properly, this being in the between can be converted into an enriching opportunity for Islamic art. Secondly, Islamic art is located metaphysically in the between, that is to say in the barzakh and it gets its productivity from there in reality. Islamic art per se is based on imagination rather than aisthesis. In this study we offer to rethink the metaphysics of Islamic art with İbn Arabi’s notion of barzakh with reference to the notion of imagination which is essentially related to it. To this end, we consider the example of Suleymaniye Mosque as an artwork and try to shed light on the verity of this work with reference to the notion of “the between”. Here it is intended also to develop a phenomenology of the between with reference to the artwork. While considering Islamic art, the necessity of appealing to the Sufi metaphysics is another underlined subject in this study.

1902’de memleketi olan Üsküp’ten tahsil maksadıyla İstanbul’a gelen fakat çeşitli sebepler yüzünden herhangi bir okula kaydolamayan Yahya Kemal hemen bir yıl sonra Paris’e gider. Burada bir sene devam ettiği ve Fransızcasını geliştirdiği Collége de Meaux ve Ecole Libre des Sciences Politiques’in “Dış Siyaset” bölümlerinde okur. Bu iki okuldan da mezun olamamasına, özellikle Paris’teki son yıllarda daha çok edebiyatla ilgilenmesine rağmen aldığı bazı dersler, sohbetlerinde bulunduğu, konferanslarına gittiği bazı büyük âlimler, hepsinden önemlisi derin ve dikkatli okumaları sayesinde Yahya Kemal sağlam bir tarih, felsefe, kültür ve medeniyet perspektifi edinmiştir. 1912’de Türkiye’ye döndükten çok kısa bir süre sonra da dersleri, sohbetleri ve yazılarıyla bu donamımı açığa vurur. Mütareke döneminde, işgal İstanbul’unun zor şartları altında da olsa Kuva-yı Milliye lehinde neşrettiği yazılar ise Yahya Kemal’in sadece tarih değil, sağlam bir diplomasi bilgisine de sahip olduğunu gösterir. Mustafa Kemal Paşa başta olmak üzere, Millî Mücadele döneminde Anadolu cephesi tarafından okunan bu yazıların da tesiriyle Yahya Kemal Cumhuriyet’in ilânından sonra Urfa Mebusluğuna getirilir ve bu ilk mebusluğu zamanında Türkiye-Suriye Tahdid-i Hudut Komisyonu’na önce âzâ, sonra başkan olur. Bu çalışmada, Yahya Kemal’in bu komisyon üyeliği zamanında, sınırın nereden çizileceği, çizilmesi gerektiği konularında Hariciye Vekâleti’ne gönderdiği ve daha önce herhangi bir çalışmada yayımlanmayan raporlar incelenecek ve yayımlanacaktır. Yahya Kemal, who came to Istanbul from his hometown of Skopje in 1902 but failed to enroll in any school due to various reasons, went to Paris a year later. In Paris, he studied at the Collége de Meaux (where he studied for a year and developed his French) and Ecole Libre des Sciences Politiques “Foreign Policy”. He was not able to graduate from either of these two schools, and he was more interested in literature, especially in Paris. But it is certain that Yahya Kemal acquired a solid perspective on history, philosophy, culture and civilization through some of the lectures he attended, some great scholars to whom he had conversations and listened to, and above all his deep and careful research. In 1912 he returned to Turkey and lessons, with chat and text has shared this knowledge and experience with the public. During the Armistice period, the articles he published in favor of the National Forces, albeit under the difficult conditions of the occupation of Istanbul, show that Yahya Kemal not only has a solid knowledge of history, but also a strong diplomacy. These articles of Yahya Kemal were read by the Anatolian front, especially Mustafa Kemal Pasha during the National Struggle. Yahya Kemal becomes a deputy of Urfa after the proclamation of the Republic with the influence of these writings. Yahya Kemal, Determination of the Turkey-Syria border in this period before a member of the Commission then appointed as chairman. In this study, the reports - which are unpublished in any study - sent by Yahya Kemal to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on where to draw the border and when it should be drawn will be examined and published.

İslam telif geleneği birçok açıdan kendi içerisinde sürekliliğe sahiptir. Bu sürekliliklerden birisi de eser isimlendirilmelerinde gösterilen hassasiyet/kasıtlılıktır. Birçok müellifin eserleri için uygun gördükleri isimleri gelişigüzel tercih etmediği bilakis lafız ve anlam olmak üzere iki şeye dikkat ettiği görülür. Bu iki şeyden lafza dair olanı secî iken anlama taalluk eden taraf telmîhtir. Kitap isimlerinde secî ise tek isimlerde secî ve silsile isimlerde secî olmak üzere iki kısma ayrılır. Öte yandan bazı eserlerin mukaddimelerinde o eserin o şekilde isimlendirme gerekçesinin (tesmiyesinin) zikredildiği görülür. İşte bu yerlere -sebeb-i teliften ilhamla- sebeb-i tesmiye denilmelidir. Islamic tradition written literature has continuity in itself in many aspects. One of these continuities is to show sensitivity/deliberation while naming the books. It is seen that many authors do not choose the names of their books randomly; on the contrary, they pay attention to two issues: wording and meaning. While secî corresponds to wording, telmîh corresponds to meaning. In the names of the books, secî is divided into two categories: Secî in single names and secî in successive names. On the other hand; it is seen that the reason of naming that book in that way (tesmiye) is alluded in the preambles of some books. Thus, these parts are called as “sebeb-i tesmiye” as inspired from “sebeb-i telif”.

XI. yüzyılın başlarında Güney İtalya’da askerî faaliyetlere girişen Normanlar bu yüzyılın ortalarından itibaren Sicilya’yı işgale giriştiler. Bunun öncesinde Normanlar, bölgede Bizans İmparatorluğu’nun da içinde bulunduğu siyasî güçlere paralı asker olarak hizmet veren İskandinav asıllı askerlerdi. Güney İtalya’da başarıya ulaşan isyanın neticesinde müstakil bir güç hâline gelen Hauteville Ailesi’nin üyesi Roger (1071-1101) zamanında da Müslümanların hâkim olduğu Sicilya’nın işgâline devam edilmiş ve ada 1091 yılında Normanların hükmü altına girmişti. II. Roger (1130-1154) ile birlikte krallığa dönüşen ve Orta Akdeniz’de başat güç konumunu alan Sicilya Normanları, mezkûr kral döneminde Zîrîler (361-543/972-1148) ve Müslüman yerel güçlerle çatışarak egemenlik sahalarını İfrîkıye’ye kadar genişletmeyi başardılar. Araştırmada, II. Roger’den sonra sırasıyla tahta çıkan I. William (1154-1166) ve II. William (1166-1189) dönemlerinde Sicilya Normanlarının Doğu Akdeniz’deki Mısır sahil şehirleri, Kıbrıs Adası ve III. Haçlı Seferi öncesinde Bilâdü’ş-Şâm kıyı kentlerinde yaptığı çıkarmalar, denizcilik faaliyetleri, donanma teşkilâtı, kullandıkları silâhlar ve gemiler hakkındaki bilgiler İslâm ve Batı kaynakları ışığında değerlendirilecektir. Beginning in the early 11th century, the Normans began military activities in southern Italy and invaded Sicily in the middle of this century. Prior to that, the Normans were Scandinavian soldiers who served as mercenaries to political forces in the region, including the Byzantine Empire. Roger I (1071-1101), a member of the Hauteville Family, which became an independent power with the successful rebellions in Southern Italy, started the invasion of Sicily dominated by Muslims and the island came under the rule of the Normans in 1091. The Normans in Sicily, which became the kingdom in the period of Roger II (1130-1154) and became the dominant power in the Central Mediterranean, managed to establish sovereignty in Ifrīḳıya by clashing with the Zīrids (361-543/972- 1148) and Muslim local powers during the Roger I period. In this research, after the succession of Roger II the activities of the Sicilian Normans in the Eastern Mediterranean during the William I (1154-1166) and William II (1166-1189) periods, the landing they made on Egypt, Cyprus and Bilād al-Shām, their naval organization, naval activities, the weapons they used and their ships will be evaluated in the light of Islamic and Western sources.

Bu çalışmada Mimarlık bölümlerindeki öğrencilerin çoklu zeka alanları ve çoklu zeka alanlarının cinsiyete göre nasıl farklılaştığını araştırmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla Branton Shearer’ın geliştirdiği Çoklu Zeka Alanları Gelişimsel Değerlendirme Ölçeği (MIDAS), veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2017-2018 öğretim yılında Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf Üniversitesi, Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi ve Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesi Mimarlık bölümlerinde sırasıyla Mimari Anlatım Dili, Mimari Anlatım Teknikleri ve Mimari Teknik Resim derslerini alan toplam 279 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre öğrencilerin sekiz farklı zeka türünden en baskın olan ilk üç zeka alanının sırasıyla sosyal, içsel ve matematiksel zeka olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca mimarlık öğrencilerinin çoklu zeka alanlarının cinsiyete göre de değişiklikler gösterdiği ortaya çıkmıştır. This study aimed to investigate the multiple intelligence fields of architecture students and how the multiple intelligence areas differ according to gender. For this purpose, Multiple Intelligence Developmental Assessment Scale (MIDAS) developed by Branton Shearer was used as a data collection tool. The sampling of the study consists of 279 students who took Architectural Communication Skills, Architectural Expression Techniques and Professional Technical Drawing courses in Architecture departments of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University, Yıldız Technical University and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2017-2018 academic year. The results showed that the most dominant 3 intelligence areas out of 8 different intelligence types of the students are as follows: social, internal and mathematical intelligence. In addition, it has been revealed that the multiple intelligence fields of architecture students vary according to gender.

Oyun, çocuğun sağlıklı gelişmesi ve öğrenmesinde önemli bir role sahiptir. Teknoloji ve dijitalleşmenin gelişmesi insan yaşamında birçok değişikliğe yol açmıştır ve farklı kuşaklarda çocukların oynadığı oyunlar bu değişimden etkilenmiştir. Bu çalışmada da belli bir kuşakta doğmuş ve çocukluğunu o kuşağın içinde geçirmiş bireylerin oyuna bakışlarını, oynadığı oyunları, oyun oynadığı mekanları ve materyalleri inceleyerek kuşakların oyun benzerlik ve farklılıklarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nitel araştırma yönteminden durum çalışması deseni ile yapılan araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2018- 2019 eğitim öğretim yılında eğitim gören okul öncesi öğretmenliği bölümü öğrencileri ve aile bireyleridir. Çocukluğunu 1960-1980 yılları arasında geçirmiş büyükanne ve büyükbabalar X kuşağını, çocukluğunu 1980-2000 yılları arasında geçirmiş anne ve babalar Y kuşağını, çocukluğunu 2000 yılından sonra geçirmiş öğrencilerin kendileri Z kuşağını oluşturmuştur. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen açık uçlu soruların yer aldığı form ile toplanmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucuna göre X kuşağı oyunu çocuk işi ve çocuğun ihtiyacı olarak görürken, Y ve Z kuşağı eğlendirici faaliyet olarak tanımlamıştır. X, Y, Z kuşaklarının üçünde de saklambaç ve mendil kapmaca tercih edilen oyunları oluştururken Z kuşağının oyun tercihleri arasında bilgisayar oyunları ve televizyon izlemek gibi aktivitelerin de yer aldığı görülmüştür. X ve Y kuşağının oyun materyallerinde çamur, toprak, taş, çubuk, sopa gibi doğal malzemeler bulunurken Z kuşağında doğal oyun materyallerin yerini oyuncaklar, bebekler, boya kalemleri gibi endüstriyel ve yapay oyun materyalleri yer almıştır. X ve Y kuşağının oyun alanlarını açık alanlar, Z kuşağının oyun alanlarını kapalı alanlar oluşturmuştur. Play has an important role in the healthy development and the learning of the child. The development of technology and digitalization has led to many changes in human life. Type of plays children are involved from different generations has been influenced by this change. This study was carried out to examine the perceptions and experiences of people from different generations (X, Y, and Z Generations) about their childhood plays in terms of types, materials, and playgrounds they preferred in their childhoods. In this research, case study which is one of the qualitative research methods was used. The data were collected from the pre-service early childhood education teachers, their parents, and their grandparents throughout the 2018-2019 academic year. X generation includes the people lived their childhoods during the 1960-1980 years. Y generation includes the people lived their childhoods during the 1980-2000 years. Z generations includes the people lived their childhood since 2000 years. Data was collected via semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher. According to the results of the study, while generation X evaluated the play as child’s work and the need of the child, generation Y and Z defined it as entertaining activity. While hide and seek, handkerchiefs were the most preferred plays in all three generations, it was seen that generation Z was involved in activities such as computer games and watching television. While the play materials of generation X and Y were natural materials such as mud, soil, stones, sticks, sticks, industrial, Z generation mentioned from artificial play materials such as toys, dolls, crayons. While the X and Y generations choose open playgrounds, it seen that the Z generation prefers indoor playgrounds more.

İslam ilim tarihinde, Hadis usûlü alanında yazılan ilk manzum eser olarak bilinen “Garâmî Sahih” manzûmesi ile İbn Ferah el-İşbîlî (ö. 699/1300), hadis usûlüne farklı bir zenginlik katmıştır. Bu manzûme, 20 beyitlik kısa bir eser olmasına rağmen, İslam dünyasında büyük ilgi görmüş, farklı zamanlarda değişik âlimler tarafından, hakkında 40’tan fazla şerh ve hâşiye yazılmıştır. Bu eserden sonra, İslam dünyasında hadis usûlü manzûmeleri gelişmiş, kısa (20-100 beyit), orta (100- 500 beyit) ve uzun (500-1000 beyit ve üzeri) birçok manzûme ve (1000 beyit ve üzeri) elfiyeler yazılmıştır. Şihabüddin el- Hüveyyî (ö.693/1294), Zeynüddin el-Irakî (ö.806/1404), Muhammed b. Abdurrahman el-Berşensî (ö.808/1406) ve Celalüddin es-Süyûtî (ö.911/1506) gibi âlimlerin Elfiye’lerine; Şemseddin el-Mecdüddin el-Fîrûzâbâdî (ö.817/1415), Kemalüddin eş-Şümünnî (ö.821/1419), İbn Zekrî et-Tilimsânî (ö.899/1494) ve Radıyyüddin el-Gazzî (ö.935/1529) gibi âlimlerin manzûmelerine ilham kaynağı olduğunu söyleyebileceğimiz bu manzûmede İşbîlî, sahih, zayıf, hasen, mu’dal, mürsel, mevkuf, merfu’ gibi hadis usûlü terimlerinin lafızlarını zikrederek, sevgi ve aşk konulu bir gazel üretmiştir. Böylece hadis usûlünü, teknik terimlerin ağırlığı altında kalmaktan çıkarıp ilim ehli nezdinde daha cazibeli bir yapıya büründürmüştür. Ibn Farah al-Ishbeeli’s poem named “Gharaami Saheeh (My love is true) about the methodology of Hadith is considered in the history of Islamic sciences as the first poem written in this field. Even though it has comprised short content of 20 couplets only, it has attracted great attention of many scholars that more than 40 commentarial books have been written about it. After this poem, many others have appeared, succeeding each other till current age. Therefore, it is possible for us to say that this field, after him, has been subsequently developed and reached up to a position that great poems comprising thousand couplets, have been written by different scholars like Shihab al-din al-Khuwaiyi, Zayn al-din al-Iraaqi, Jalal al-din Soyuuti and others. Ishbeeli, in this poem, just provided the names of terminologies used in the methodology of Hadith as Saheeh, Hasen, Dha’eef, etc, and made up a beautiful poem whose topic is love.

İslam hukuk tarihinde müçtehit imamlar dönemi olarak bilinen hicri II. yüzyıl ile IV. asrın ortalarına kadar süren dönem, bilinen dört fıkıh mezhebinin yanında diğer sünnî mezheplerin de teşekkül ettiği dönem olmuştur. Sayıları onlarca olan bu mezheplerin hemen hemen hepsi, siyasi ve sosyo-kültürel etkenlerden ötürü varlıklarını sürdürememiş, günümüze ulaşamamışlardır. Bunların bir kısmı az bir müntesip kitlesiyle varlıklarını hicri V. asra kadar devam ettirmişlerse de, mezhep merkezli dönem olarak bilinen taklit döneminden itibaren, mutlak içtihat kapısının kapandığı düşüncesi ve kitlelerin, doğrudan veya dolaylı olarak dört mezhebe teveccühleri sebebiyle tarih sahnesinden çekilmek durumunda kalmıştır. Bu çalışmamızda, günümüzde yaşamayan sünnî fıkıh mezhepleri hangileri olduğu klasik ve modern çalışmalardan istifade edilerek tespit edilmeye çalışılacak ve Fuat Sezgin’in Tarihu’t-Turâsi’l-Arabî (GAS) adlı eserindeki tasnifiyle kıyaslanacaktır. Between the 2nd and 4th centuries after hijrah, during the period in the history Islamic law known as the time of mujtahid scholars, there have been Sunni madhhabs other than the four schools of fiqh known today. Almost all of these madhhabs (sects), which have reached numbers as high as several dozen at that time, have failed to maintain their existence and reach our time due to political and sociocultural factors. Although a small number of these schools have been able to continue their existence with small numbers of followers until the 5th century after hijrah, from the period known as the madhhab-oriented imitation period, they began to withdraw from the stage of history due to the growth of the thought that absolute Islamic jurisprudence was no longer possible and due to the fact that masses of people had turned their favor towards the four madhhabs due to direct and indirect reasons. In this study, we will try to determine which madhhabs are the ones that have failed to maintain their existence by utilizing classical and modern works and comparing these findings to Fuat Sezgin’s classification in his work titled Tarihu’t-Turasi’l- Arabi (GAS).

Yoksulluk geçmişten günümüze pek çok araştırmacının üzerinde önemle durduğu bir konu olmuştur. Ancak yoksulluk genellikle tek boyut üzerinden düşünülmüş ve yoksulluğu önleme amaçlı üretilen politikalar da tek boyutlu olmuştur. Oysa yoksulluğun farklı ve özel anlam içeren bir boyutu da bulunmaktadır. Bu boyut miskinliktir. Miskinlerin, yoksulluğun görünmeyen bir yüzü olduğunu bilmek ve sosyal koruma kapsamına nasıl alınacağını tespit etmek sosyal dengelerin sağlanması bakımından önemlidir. Bu çalışmada İslâm’ın korunmasını emrettiği özel gruplardan biri olan gizli yoksullara (miskinlere) yönelik sosyal korumanın nasıl ve hangi araçlarla sağlanabileceği sorularına yanıt aranmaktadır. Bu arayışta sahip olduğu mükemmel potansiyel ile zekât müessesesinin önemi vurgulanmaktadır. Poverty has been a topic that was strongly focussed by many researchers from past to present. However, poverty has usually been thought out at one dimension and policies, produced for aiming to prevent poverty, have also been one-dimensional. But, there is also a dimension that contains different and special meaning of poverty. This dimension is the unseen-poor. To know the unseen poor as being an invisible face of poverty and how to detect them into social protection is important in terms of providing social balances. In this study, looking for answers to the questions about how and which tools provide to social protection for unseen poor as a particular group that ordered the protection of Islam. The importance of Alms (Zekat) institutions that have excellent potential in this quest are highlighted.

شخصية أبي عبد الله الصغير آخر ملوك العرب في الأندلس من الشخصيات التاريخية المثيرة للجدل. استطاعت هذه الشخصية الدخول إلى الأدب العالمي، فقد جسدت في العديد من الأعمال الأدبية، من الأعمال الأدبية التي تناولت هذه الشخصية في الأدب التركي الحديث مسرحية عبد الله الصغير لعبد الحق حامد، وفي الأدب العربي مسرحية “أبو عبد الله الصغير” لمعروف الأرناؤوط. تدرس هذه المقالة شخصية أبي عبد الله الصغير في المسرحيتين المذكورتين اللتين اتخذتا من حياته موضوعًا لهما، فشخصيته هي الشخصية الرئيسية في كلا المسرحيتين. في المقالة تم تقديم عرض موجز للمسرحيتين يتضمن أهم الأحداث، أما في قسم المقارنة فتمت مقارنة شخصية أبي عبد الله الصغير من نواح مختلفة، مع بيان النقاط المشتركة والمختلفة بين المسرحيتين فيما يتعلق بالشخصية المدروسة، كما تمت الإشارة إلى الأسباب الكامنة وراء هذا الاختلاف والتشابه في تقديم هذه الشخصية في المسرحيتين المدروستين. Endülüs’ün son Arap hükümdarı olan Abû Abdullah es-Sağîr, tartışmalı bir şahsiyettir. Dünya edebiyatına giren bu şahsiyet, birçok edebî esere konu olmuştur. Türk edebiyatında Abdülhak Hamid’in kaleme aldığı Abdullahü’s-Sagîr adlı piyesi ile Arap edebiyatında Suriyeli yazar Maruf el-Arnavut’un Ebû Abdullah es-Sagîr adlı piyesi, bu şahsiyeti ele alan eserlerdendir. Bu makalede, adı geçen bu iki piyeste ana karakter olarak karşımıza çıkan Abû Abdullah es-Sağîr’in şahsiyeti farklı yönleriyle incelenmiştir. Makalede, söz konusu piyeslerin geniş özetleri verildikten sonra karşılaştırma bölümünde Abû Abdullah es-Sağîr’in şahsiyeti piyeslerde geçen ortak ve farklı yönleriyle ele alınarak incelenmiştir. Ayrıca bu piyeslerde Abû Abdullah es-Sağîr ile ilgili farklılıkların ve benzerliklerin arkasında yatan sebeplere de işaret edilmiştir. Abu ʿAbd Allah Muḥammad XII, in Arabic known as as-Saġīr, was the 22nd and the last Arab ruler of al-Andalus. A controversial historical figure, he became a protagonist of numerous literary works, among them the play ʿAbd Allah as-Saġīr written by a Turkish poet and play writer Abdülhak Hâmid Tarhan, and Abu ʿAbd Allah as-Saġīr by a Syrian author Maʿrūf el-Arnavut. This article deals with the way in which the character of Abu ʿAbd Allah Muḥammad XII is presented in both plays. After a brief plot summary, it proceeds to comparing ways the main protagonist is described, with both similarities and differences between the plays pointed out, and the reasons behind them explained.

Bu çalışma, İslâm’ın ilk beş asrında yaşayan müslüman âlimlerin ekonomik çevrelerini ve dünyevî mesleklerini tespit ederek bu âlimlerin ekonomik kökenlerinin ve meslekî yapılarının İslâm dünyasının farklı yerlerinde ve yaklaşık beş yüz yıllık bir zaman diliminde nasıl değiştiğini ortaya koymaktadır. This study ascertains the economic background and secular occupations of muslim scholars who lived in the first five centuries of Islam and reveals how the economic origins and occupational structure of these scholars vary in different parts of the Muslim world and in about five centuries long period. In this study, which is based on the information regarding the economic background or the occupations of 4200 scholars among over 14.000 muslim scholars who are mentioned in the biographical books of the classical period of Islam, 410 professions or occupations that these scholars engaged in are grouped under various sectors and profession categories. Then the distribution of scholars by occupations based on century-long periods and changes in occupational structures in different places during the first five centuries of Islam are examined in detail. One of the significant conclusions of the study is that considerable proportion of the scholars within the first five centuries of Islam earned their livings by themselves from commerce and handicrafts or they came from the families who were engaged in these occupations.

Hanefi fakîhi Yusuf-u Hemedanî’den (ö. 535/1140) ilim ve irfan eğitimini tamamlayan Ahmed-i Yesevî, özellikle yaşadığı Türkistan coğrafyasında Kıpçak ve Oğuz boyları arasında İslam’ın benimsenip yayılmasında önemli hizmetlerde bulunmuş, Çağatay Türkçesi ile serbest halk edebiyatı vezninde manzum olarak söylediği dînî içerikli şiirleri olan hikmetleriyle insanlara anlayacağı dilde İslam’ı tebliğ etmiştir. Ahmed-i Yesevî’nin hikmetleri, İslam’ın asgarî seviyede bilinmesi gereken îmân, ibâdet ve ahlâkın temel esaslarını, bir Müslüman için zorunlu bilgileri içermektedir. He is the spiritual conqueror of Anatolia. Ahmad-i Yasawi completed the education of knowledge and wisdom from the Hanafi physician Yusuf-u Hemedani (d. 1140). Ahmed-i Yasawi, the almighty VI / miladi XII. In the geographical region of Turkistan, Kipchak and Oguz had important services in the adoption and spread of İslâm. Ahmad-i Yasawi notified Islam on the level of understanding the people with his wisdoms with religious content poems which he said as a poem in Chagatay Turkish and free folk literature. The wisdom of Ahmad-i Yasawi is that the basic principles of faith, worship and morality that İslâm needs to be known at the minimum level include the minimum level necessary for a Muslim. Although the wisdoms are not predominant, the wisdom gives the impression of infallibility, including the essential principles that every Muslim needs to acquire about faith, worship and general morality, and the essential information he needs to learn. The tradition of ilmihal, which is developed and spread among the Turks and the first principles of which are given in the general principles of faith, worship and morality, giving the first example with the work of Divan-i Hekmat of Ahmad-i Yasawi, explains the internal meaning of the questions of Islam and benevolence. Yasawi places this information in his wisdom as the basis of the spirit of religion, and aims to secure people’s faithfulness to İslâm in a safe way. The connection with the deed is a form of encouragement to him, an attachment of significance and a neglect of his negligence. Islamic faith and jurisprudence of İslâm in Turkistan was learned and taught through the books of kelâm and fiqh. We see the sensitivity of Yasawi to the worship of the subjects of science, the prayer in 68 places in the Divan-ı Hekmat, the fasting in 33 places and the zakat in 3 places. It is also supported by the fact that the 242th Hekmat, which consists of nine continents, is only used for pilgrimage. Yasawi emphasizes the importance of ablution and places sacrifice and itikaf subjects in his wisdom in using ablution on the basis of worship. After giving brief information about the formation of the almighty cult, we will discuss the issues of worship which Ahmad-i Yesevî emphasizes on inner meanings / spiritual dimensions rather than the spiritual meanings in his wisdom. In this paper, we will try to present some principles from the Divan-ı Hekmat that we have determined for the principles of worship.

Makalenin yazılış amacı Osmanlı kıraat eğitimindeki tariklerin uygulanış şekilleri ile bu tariklerin Osmanlı’dan önceki uygulamalardan farklı olduğu noktaları ortaya koymaktır. The article deals with “Tariq”s, “Meslek”s and their resources in the field of “Qiraah” (Quranic Recitation) education in Ottoman era. Under the title, “Tariq”s it is touched upon the meaning of “Tariq”, varieties of classifications of “Tariq”s and their condition in Ottoman era. As for the title “Mesleks”, it includes the information about the respective founders of the “Meslek”s and their resources. The purpose of writing the article is revealing the ways of implementation of “Tariq”s in Ottoman “Qiraah” education and if available to unveil the distinction points from the earlier application. The scope of section “Mesleks” -unlike similar articles written in this field- is to handle the founders and the main resources of these “Meslek”s in detail. It is concluded in the article that there were differences in application ways and naming the “Tariq”s comparing to earlier times. As for the section “Mesleks and their resources” it is inferred that the resources mentioned in the article are more likely to be about the “Tahrirat” (registering of references) field of the “Qiraah”.

Şah Mahmud Nişâburî Albümü de, kitap sanatlarının uygulama alanlarından olan murakka’ yapımcılığının en mühim örnekleri arasında gösterilmektedir. Başta Şah Mahmud Nişâburî olmak üzere İranlı hattatların kıt’alarının yer aldığı bu albümün tezhiplenmesinin ve ciltlenmesinin Osmanlı Nakkaşhânesi’nde yapıldığı kabul edilmektedir. Albümde kıt’a formunun sıra dışı örnekleri bir arada toplanmıştır. Hem hat hem de tezhip sanatı açısından çok değerli ve aynı zamanda yol gösterici bir eser niteliği taşıyan albümdeki kıt’a formlarının farklılığı, değişik boyutlarda ve şekillerde koltuk alanlarının oluşumunu sağlamış ve bu durum tasarımdaki çeşitliliği de beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu makalede de, Şah Mahmud Nişâburî Murakkaı’nda yer alan birkaç örnek, koltuk tezhibi yönünden ele alınacak ve incelenecektir. The arts of book are one of the most important elements in the formation of Turkish art. The works which are given in this field have been highly influential in terms of our art to reach from past to the present. Shah Mahmud Nişâburî album is shown as one of the most important examples of album production which is application area of book arts. In this album, which contains calligraphic kıt’as of Persian calligraphers, mostly of Shah Mahmud Nişâburî, illumination and binding in Ottoman palace studio, kıt’a forms’ extraordinary examples are gathered together. The variety of kıt’a forms in the album, which is both valuable and at the same time an advisor in terms of calligraphy and illumination, has provided the formation of koltuk areas in different sizes and shapes and this brought diversity in the design. In this article, some samples in Shah Mahmud Nişâburî album will be analyzed in terms of koltuk illumination.

Timsahın yaşadığı iklimlerde insan yaşamını tehdit eden yırtıcı bir sürüngen olması, Antik Mısır’dan itibaren inanç sistemlerinde bir güç sembolü olmasına vesile olmuştur. Osmanlılar, Mısır’ın fethinden sonra tanıştıkları bu egzotik hayvana karşı ilgi duymaya başlamış ve merkezi otoritenin iklimine yabancı bu hayvanı gerek kendi varoluşuyla, gerekse de çağrıştırdığı imgelerle ilişkilendirebildikleri boyutlarda benimsemişlerdir. Başlangıçta bir merak şahikası iken, sonrasında İstanbul’a getirilip temaşa edilen bu hayvan, zihinlerde çağrıştırdığı imgelerle dertlilere deva, gemilere ilham, çikolatalara marka ve en sonunda gizemli bir mumya kurgusunun baş kahramanı olarak, pek çok gerçek ve tevatüre alet olmuştur. Bu araştırmada timsahın çağrıştırdığı merak dolu gizemlerin Osmanlı’nın kültür hayatına etkisi bağlamında günümüze kadar süren izleri sürülmek istenmiştir. Threatening the life of mankind as a predator reptile in its habitual regions caused crocodiles to be a symbol of power in belief systems since Ancient Egypt. Ottomans were very interested in this exotic animal, which they met after the conquest of Egypt, and although it was foreign to the climate of central authority, they adopted it both with its own existence and the images it reminded within the aspects they could associate with. As it was the peak of wonder itself at the begining, crocodiles were later brought to Istanbul to be exhibited, and with the images they inspired, they became motifs in many facts and fictions such as remedies for sufferings, inspiration for ships, marks for chocolates and finally, the leading actor of a mystery mummy fiction. This study aims to following the traces of the wondrous mysteries evoked by crocodiles within the context of their effects to Ottoman cultural life, still present today.

Tarihin en eski kentlerinden biri olan Halep, Türkiye’nin sınır komşusu Suriye’nin ticari, ekonomik ve endüstriyel başkenti niteliğindedir. Önemli ticaret yollarının buluştuğu kent, ülkenin kuzeyinde yer almaktadır. Konumu itibariyle kent, tarih boyunca doğu ile batı arasında bir ticaret merkezi olmuştur. Taş devrinden bu yana yerleşim yeri özelliğini koruyan Halep, Orta Tunç Çağı’nda bile nüfus topluluklarının merkezi olmuştur. Coğrafi konumu, dinî cazibesi, sosyal yapısı ve iklim şartları Halep’in ayakta kalmasını sağlayan başlıca etkenler olmuştur. Halep kent dokusunun en ilgi çeken yanı geleneksel konut mimarisidir. Halep evlerinde eski doku incelendiğinde Anadolu’da benzer iklim ve sosyal yapıya sahip olduğu görülür. Organik sokak dokusu, sağır ve yüksek avlu duvarlarıyla çevrilidir. Ev mimarisini etkileyen ikilim, malzeme, gelenek, çevre, kültür ve sosyal hayat faktörleri, fiziki plana da yansımıştır. Halep geleneksel ev mimarisi Mezopotamya döneminden başlayarak İslam dönemine kadar varlığını sürdürmüştür. Aleppo, as one of the oldest urban settlements, is the commercial, economic and industrial capital of Syria, the neighbor of Turkey on its southern border. The city, where important trade routes meet, is located in the north of the country. Aleppo has been a trade center between east and west throughout its history. Aleppo, which has preserved its character since the Stone Age, has been a center of attraction for communities even in the Middle Bronze Age. Geographical location, religious attractiveness, social structure, and climatic conditions were the main factors that enabled Aleppo to survive throughout the centuries. The most interesting part of the urban fabric in Aleppo is its traditional residential architecture. When the urban residential fabric is examined in Aleppo, it is seen that it has similarities to the climatic and social structure in Anatolia. The streets with organic texture are surrounded by blind and high courtyard walls. The climate of the area, building materials, traditions, social and cultural environment have their physical effects on the residential architecture. The traditional residential architecture of Aleppo starting from the Mesopotamian period has lasted as well through the Islamic Period.

Tasvir meselesinin kökenindeki sûret ve temsil konusu, başlangıcından günümüze kadar bütün bir felsefe tarihinin de en temel problemidir ve bu yüzden söz konusu tartışmalar da sadece sanata özgü değildir. Tasvirin temsil ve taklit kavramları ile ilişkisi, epistemoloji-ontoloji merkezinde felsefenin, isim-sıfat tartışmaları açısından teolojinin ve elbette ahlâkın zeminini belirler. Bu makalede tasvir meselesinin felsefe açısından varlık ve oluş, teolojik açıdan da yaratma ve kurtuluş kavramlarıyla ilgisi tartışılarak temsil ve taklidin teorik zemini belirlenmeye çalışılmaktadır. Makale ayrıca meselenin İbnü’l-Arabî metinleriyle nasıl yorumlanabileceğini göstermeyi hedeflemektedir. The problem of representation and mimesis which is at the roots of the issue of depiction (taswir) is from the beginning until now the most basic problem within the whole body of philosophy and, therefore, arguments in question are not limited to art only. The relation between depiction (taswir) and the concepts of representation and mimesis define the foundations of philosophy in terms of epistemology-ontology, theology with regard to ‘name-designation’ discussions, and, with no doubt, morality. In this article, the connection between the issue of depiction (taswir) and the concepts of “on” and “genesis” is discussed from the point of view of philosophy. In the same time, its connection to the concepts of creation and salvation are examined with regard to theology. Additionally, the author attempts at defining the theoretical foundation of representation and mimesis. Last but not least, the article aims at showing that the issue in question could be interpreted using the books of Ibn al-Arabi.

Gotik edebiyat ilk olarak Avrupa’da ortaya çıkmıştır. Dolayısıyla bu kıtanın tarihi özelliklerini yansıtmaktadır. Aristokrat geçmişin otoriter ayrımları gotik edebiyatın en önemli belirleyenidir. Ayrıca modernizmi savunan ve karşı çıkan alt türleriyle kuramsal bir tavır da barındırmaktadır. Bu edebi tür Amerika’ya götürüldüğünde yeni kıtanın sosyal, tarihi, ekonomik yanlarının etkisinde kalmıştır. Amerikan gotiğinde söz konusu ülkenin coğrafi özellikleri yansıtılmıştır. Benzer şekilde Anadolu gotiği de yerli coğrafyanın özelliklerini barındırmaktadır. Geçmişten gelen halk kültürün içindeki korku ögeleri yeni dönem romanlarına aktarılmaya başlanmıştır. Böylece Anadolu’nun insanı ve coğrafyası korku romanlarının konusu olmuştur. Gothic literature first appeared in Europe. Therefore, it reflects the historical features of this continent. The authoritarian distinctions of the aristocratic past are the most important determinants of gothic literature. It also has a theoretical attitude with its sub-genres defending and opposing modernism. This literary genre is taken to America and has been influenced by the social, historical and economic aspects of the new continent. In the American gothic, the geographical features of the country were reflected. Similarly, Anatolian gothic include the characteristics of the native geography. The elements of fear in the folk culture from the past began to be transferred to the novels of the new era. Thus, the people and geography of Anatolia became the subject of horror novels.

İslamî düşüncenin önemli bir kısmı söylemsel düzlemde modern dünya ile ilgili olarak problemli bir tavra sahiptir. Bugün İslam dünyasında modern dünyaya bakışa ilişkin iki uç yaklaşım mevcuttur. Birinci yaklaşım modernliği bütünü ile reddeden ve “Altın Çağ’a” dönmeyi hedefleyen yaklaşımdır. İkinci yaklaşım ise modern dünyayı bütünüyle İslamîleştirmeyi hedefleyen yaklaşımdır. Bu anlamda birinci yaklaşıma devrimci tavır, ikinci yaklaşıma reformist tavır denilebilir. Ancak her iki yaklaşım da sorunlu yaklaşımlardır. Geriye dönüş mümkün değildir. Bugün modern dünyanın içerisinde yaşıyoruz. Modern dünya, teknolojik, ekonomik, sosyal, siyasi vs. bazı yeni durumları beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu iki tavırla da Müslümanların sorunlarının çözülmesi mümkün değildir. Bu bağlamda yeni bir yaklaşıma ihtiyaç vardır. Bu bağlamda bu yeni yaklaşım, Hz. Peygamber’in içinde yaşadığı toplumla ilişki kurma biçimi olmalıdır. Hz. Peygamber’in toplumuyla kurduğu ilişki üç boyutlu bir ilişkidir. Birinci boyutu devrimci boyut olarak da adlandırılabilir. Bu noktada Hz. Peygamber bazı uygulamaları kökten kaldırmıştır. Örneğin faiz, kaldırılmış ve yerine karz-ı hasen uygulaması önerilmiştir. İkinci boyutu ıslah boyutudur. Bu bağlamda uygulama tamamen kaldırılmamış, sadece ıslah edilmiştir. Örneğin çok evlilik yasaklanmamış, ancak sınırlanmıştır ve hukuki bir çerçeveye oturtulmuştur. Üçüncü boyut ise muhafazakâr boyut olarak adlandırılabilir. Bu yaklaşım, o toplumun iyi olan davranışlarını muhafaza etmektedir. Nitekim Hz. Peygamber, bir hadiste “cahiliyede iyi olan İslam’da da iyidir” buyurmaktadır. Örneğin haram aylar uygulaması, değiştirilmeden muhafaza edilmiş ve haram aylarda savaş yapılmaması geleneği korunmuştur. Sonuç olarak İslam, ne saf devrimci ne de saf reformist bir konuma sahiptir. İslam’ın genel uygulaması, olaylara göre şekillenmektedir. Bugün modern dünyanın bütünüyle reddedilmesi, olguya savaş açmaktır. Bütünüyle İslamîleştirilmesi ise İslamî ilkeleri realiteye kurban etmektir. Olguya savaş açmadan, ama ana ilkelerinden de taviz vermeden modern dünya ile kurulacak sağlıklı bir ilişki, Müslüman toplumlar için ivedi bir meseledir. Today, an important part of Islamic thought has a problematic attitude regarding modern world on discursive level. Currently, there are two extreme approaches towards modern world in the Islamic world. One part of them rejects the modern world with its all characters completely and wants to return “Golden Age”. Another part argues Islamization of the modern world with its all aspects. Both of these approaches, namely, revolutionism and reformism are having many problems. Firstly, it is impossible to turn back. We live in modern world. But, modern world has come out with some new situations. These new situations are political, economic, technological, etc. Both of these approaches don’t solve these problems. We need a new approach, a third way, towards modern world. In this context, the new approach must be our prophet’s method. While our prophet was spreading out the messages of Allah and he was calling to Islam, he applied three ways to change his society. First of all, he changed some practices entirely. For example, interest abolished and replaced karz-ı hasen, a special interest- free lending system. We can call this application revolutionist. Secondly, he revised some practices, for example polygamy didn’t prohibit, but it limited and based on a legal framework. This applications can called reformist. And thirdly, he didn’t change some practices and allowed to go on them. For example, forbidden moths are protected. In this context, Prophet Mohammad says “Good things in Jahiliyya are good in Islam as well.” We can call conservatism for this application. As a consequence, we can say that Islam is not merely revolutionist or merely reformist. Its position changes according to case. So, he offers a model for us to understand the world we live in. We, as Muslims, can understand modern world and figure out our problem with this triple approach.

Bu çalışma, anaokuluna devam eden beş-altı yaşındaki çocukların ebeveyn görüşlerine göre değer düzeylerinin belirlenmesini amaçlayan betimsel bir araştırmadır. Çalışmanın evrenini Ankara ilinde resmi anaokullarında eğitim gören beş-altı yaş gurubu 14.218 çocuk oluşturmuştur. Çalışma grubunu seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemlerinden tabakalı örneklem yöntemiyle seçilen beş yaştan 172, altı yaştan 202, toplamda 374 çocuk oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen “Aile Bilgi Formu” ve “Okul Öncesi Değerler Ölçeği Ebeveyn Formu” kullanılmıştır. Gruplar arasındaki farklılıklar incelenirken normal dağılımdan gelmeyen değişkenler için Mann Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis-H testlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Kruskal Wallis-H Testinde anlamlı farklılıkların görülmesi durumunda Post-Hoc Çoklu Karşılaştırma Testi ile aralarında farklılık olan gruplar belirlenmiştir. Normal dağılımdan gelmeyen değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiler incelenirken Spearman’s Korelasyon Katsayısından yararlanılmıştır. Sonuçlar yorumlanırken anlamlılık düzeyi olarak 0,05 kullanılmış olup; p<0,05 olması durumunda anlamlı bir ilişkinin olduğu, p>0,05 olması durumunda ise anlamlı bir ilişkinin olmadığı belirtilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; çocukların sırasıyla en fazla sorumluluk, saygı, işbirliği, dürüstlük, dostluk/arkadaşlık ve paylaşım değerlerini edindikleri saptanmıştır. Ortanca ve son çocukların değer puanları ilk çocuklardan anlamlı derecede yüksek bulunmuştur. Öğ-renim düzeyleri yüksek olan ebeveynlerin çocuklarının değer puanları, öğrenim düzeyi düşük olan ebeveynlerin çocuklarının değer puanlarından yüksektir. Yüksek ve orta gelir grubunda olan çocukların puanlarının düşük gelir grubunda yer alan çocukların puanlarından anlamlı derecede yüksek bulunmuştur. Çocukların yaşı arttıkça değer edinim düzeyleri artmaktadır. Kardeş sayısı ve ebeveynlerin yaşlarıyla değer edinim düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişkinin olmadığı saptanmıştır. This descriptive study aims to determine the value levels of children in the age group of five-six attending official kindergartens according to teacher views. Target population of the study consisted of 14.218 children in the age group of five-six attending official kindergartens in Ankara. Study group consisted of 172 children from the age group of five, 202 children from the age group of six and a total of 374 children who were selected with stratified sampling method, which is among random sampling methods. “Family Information Form” that was developed by the researcher and “Family’s Form for Preschool Values Scale” that was developed were used in the study. Differences between the groups were examined by using Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis-H tests for normally distributed variables. Groups that had significant differences in the Kruskal Wallis-H Test were determined by using Post-Hoc Multiple Comparison Test. Relations between the variables that were not normally distributed were examined by using Spearman’s Correlation Coefficient. As a result of the study; it was determined that children respectively adopted the values of; Responsibility, Respect, Cooperation, Honesty, Friendship and Sharing respectively. The Middle/median and the youngest children value scores were significantly higher than their first child. The Children with higher educated parents have higher value scores than the children with lower educated parents. The scores of children in the high and middle income groups were significantly higher than the scores of the children in the low income groups. As the children grow older the level of value acquisition increases. There was no significant relationship between the number of siblings and their parents’ age.
