Öz Artan enerji ihtiyacını karşılayabilmek için genişlemeye devam eden elektrik enerjisi iletim sistemi çeşitli güvenlik problemlerine sebep olmaktadır. Şebekeye entegre edilen yeni yatırımların bir sonucu olarak sistem eşdeğer empedansının azalması kısa devre akımlarının yükselmesine neden olmaktadır. Meydana gelebilecek kısa devre akımlarının mevcut kesicilerin kesme kapasitesini aşması önlem alınması gereken önemli bir problemdir. Kısa devre akımlarını sınırlandırmak amacıyla kullanılan yöntemlerden biri bara bölme tekniğini kullanmaktır. Bara bölme yöntemi iki bara bulunan transformatör merkezlerinde fiderleri uygun baralara dağıtarak baralar arasındaki bağlantının kesilmesi suretiyle uygulanmaktadır. Bara bölme yoluyla şebeke konfigürasyonunda yapılan değişiklikler neticesinde her ne kadar kısa devre akımları sınırlandırılabilse de N-1 güvenliğinde bozulmalar ve güç kayıplarında artışlar söz konusu olabilmektedir. Kısa devre akımlarını sınırlandırmak amacıyla sistem eşdeğer empedansını yükseltmenin bir sonucu olarak güç kayıpları da artmaktadır. Kısa devre akımları ile güç kayıpları arasında bulunan bu çıkar çatışması nedeniyle iki amaç arasında bir denge noktasının bulunması gerekmektedir. Bu doğrultuda çalışmamız kapsamında bara bölme optimizasyonu probleminin amaçları kısa devre akımları ve aktif güç kayıpları olarak seçilmiş ve N-1 güvenliği probleme kısıt olarak eklenmiştir. Problemin çözümünde Pareto-optimal kavramını Genetik Algoritmayla birleştiren kısıtlı NSGA-II algoritması çok amaçlı bara bölme optimizasyonu problemini çözmek için kullanılmıştır. Oluşturulan matematiksel model ve kullanılan algoritma IEEE RTS 96-baralı test sisteminde uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar önerilen yaklaşımın kısa devre akımlarını gerektiği kadar sınırlandırma, güç kayıplarının aşırı yükselmesini önleme ve N-1 güvenliğini sürdürme açısından şebekenin güvenli çalışma topolojilerini elde etmede başarılı sonuçlar verdiğini göstermektedir. Abstract The electrical energy transmission system lasted to expand in order to compensate for growing energy demand, leads to a variety of security problems. The decreasing system equivalent impedance in the result of the new investments integrated into the network causes to raise the short-circuit currents. It is a crucial problem, which taking remedial action is a necessity, for the short-circuit currents to be occurred exceed the circuit-breaker capacity. One method used to contain short-circuit currents is to perform the bus splitting technique. The bus splitting method is implemented through distributing feeders to appropriate buses and disconnect the zero-impedance line between buses in substations. Even if the short-circuit currents are restricted thanks to alterations in the network configuration by using bus splitting, the violation of the N-1 security and the growth of the power losses might occur. Increasing the system equivalent impedance in order to limit the short-circuit currents results in greater power losses. A balance between power losses and short-circuit currents should be found out due to the conflict of interest between these objectives. The objective function is created with short-circuit currents and active power losses and N-1 security is implemented as a constraint in this study. The constrained NSGA-II algorithm integrating Pareto-optimality concept into Genetic Algorithm is performed to solve the multi-objective bus splitting optimization problem. Mathematical model and algorithm created are implemented to the RTS 96-bus test system. The results show that the proposed method is successive in obtaining the secure topological frameworks of the network in terms of restricting the short-circuit currents, preventing the over increase of the power losses and maintaining the N-1 security.

Abstract Scholarships for the students are the financial supports provided by the government or institutions. There may be a great number of competing applicants with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully fulfill the scholarship needs. So, it is difficult to select the most suitable students among multiple applicants for these providers. In this study, scholarship students’ selection is handled as a complex decision making problem, and this problem is solved by integration of two Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods, Best-Worst Method (BWM) and COmbined COmpromise SOlution (CoCoSo). In order to demonstrate the applicability of these methods to the scholarship student selection problem, a real problem is solved. This problem is designed as a group decision making problem, and BWM, the improved Analytic Hierarchy Process method, is employed to derive the criteria weights. A solution to the problem where decision makers’ best and worst criteria are not common and unique is suggested. On the other hand, CoCoSo method is used for the ranking purposes of the applicants. The novelty of this study is that scholarship selection problem is solved with BWM and CoCoSo methods for the first time. The integrated usage of BWM and CoCoSo methods is thought as suitable and effective methods to rank or select the best candidate or alternative among a number of candidates or alternatives because of satisfactory results. Öz Öğrencilere yönelik burslar, devlet veya kurumlar tarafından sağlanan mali desteklerdir. Sağlanan bursun gerekliliklerini başarıyla yerine getirmek için gerekli olan bilgi, beceri ve yeteneklere sahip çok sayıda rakip öğrenci olabilir. Bu nedenle, burs sağlayıcılar için birden fazla başvuru arasından en uygun öğrencileri seçmek zordur. Bu çalışmada, burs seçimi karmaşık bir karar verme problemi olarak ele alınmış ve bu problem, Çok Kriterli Karar Verme (ÇKKV) yönteminlerinden olan En İyi-En Kötü Yöntemi (BWM) ve Birleşik Uzlaşma Çözümü (CoCoSo yöntemi) birlikte kullanılarak çözülmüştür. Bu yöntemlerin burslu öğrenci seçme problemine uygulanabilirliği, gerçek bir problemin çözümü ile gösterilmiştir. Problem, grup karar verme problemi olarak tasarlanmıştır. Problemde kriterlerin ağırlıkları, Analitik Hiyerarşi Süreci yönteminin geliştirilmiş bir hali olan BWM ile hesaplanmıştır. Aynı zamanda, karar vericilerin en iyi ve en kötü kriterlerinin ortak ve tek olmadığı probleme bir çözüm önerilmiştir. Öte yandan, başvuran adayların sıralamaları için CoCoSo yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışma ile bursiyer seçim problem, ilk kez BWM ve CoCoSo yöntemleri ile çözülmüştür. Çalışmadan elde edilen tatmin edici sonuçlar, bir dizi aday veya alternatif arasından en iyi adayı veya alternatifi sıralamak ya da seçmek için BWM ve CoCoSo yöntemlerinin birlikte kullanımının uygun ve etkili bir yaklaşım olacağını göstermektedir. Öz Ultrasonik Kayma Dalgaları Tomografisi (UKDT) yapıdaki nesneleri, ara yüzleri ve anomalileri tespit etmek için ultrasonik kayma dalgaları kullanan modern bir tahribatsız yöntemi olarak önerilmektedir. Bu yöntem sayesinde yapının tamamının hızlı ve ekonomik bir şekilde hiçbir elemana zarar vermeden incelenebilmesine olanak tanınmaktadır. Bu şekilde yapı elemanlarında kayma dalgalarının ultrasonik geçiş özellikleri üç boyutlu olarak görselleştirilebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada betonun UKDT ile incelenmesinde frekansın etkisi üzerine yapılan deneysel çalışma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular sunulmuştur. Deneysel çalışmalarda kullanılan cihazda 24 adet transdüser bulunur ve cihazın çalışma frekans aralığı 25-250 kHz’dir. Deneyler için laboratuvarda 50x50x22 cm boyutlarında üç adet beton numune üretilmiştir. Donatı ve kusurları temsil etmesi amacıyla beton numunelerin içerisine farklı malzemeler yerleştirilmiştir. Her bir numune üzerinde dört farklı frekans değerinde (25-50-100-200 kHz) deneyler yapılmıştır. Deneyler sonucunda her bir frekans değerinde elde edilen tomografik kesitler ile numuneler içerisine yerleştirilen, tip, ebat ve yerleşimleri bilinen donatı ve kusurlar eşleştirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlara göre, uygulanan beton malzemelerde UKDT yöntemi ile yapılacak olan deneylerde, aranan kusurun özelliklerine göre, uygulanan frekans değerinin sonucun doğruluğuna etkisinin değiştiği sonucuna varılmıştır. 25 kHz ve 50 kHz frekanslarında yapılan deneylerde numunelerin içerisine yerleştirilen malzeme boyutlarının belirlenmesi gerçeğe yakın doğrulukla yapılabilmekteyken 100 kHz ve 200 kHz değerleri ise sadece numune boyutlarının yani beton elemanın sınırlarının belirlenmesi için yeterli olabilmiştir. Abstract Ultrasonic Shear Wave Tomography (USWT) is recommended as a modern non-destructive method that uses ultrasonic shear waves to detect objects, interfaces, and anomalies in the structure. The entire structure can be analyzed quickly and economically without destruction of any structural element. Thus, ultrasonic transition properties can be visualized in three dimensions by means of this method. In this work, results of experimental studies conducted on the effect of frequency on the analysis of the concrete by USWT are explained. The test device used in experimental studies has 24 transducers and its operating frequency range is 25-250 kHz. 50x50x22 cm sized three concrete specimens were produced in the laboratory for the experiments. Different materials were embedded in the concrete specimens to represent reinforcement and defects. Experiments were carried out at four different frequency values (25-50-100-200 kHz) on each specimen. The tomographic cross-sections obtained at each frequency value were studied. The reinforcement and defects obtained in tomography sections were tried to match the known properties of placed objects in the concrete specimens. According to the results obtained in this study the accuracy of the results obtained depending on the frequency value varies according to the characteristics of the defect. The materials placed in the specimens tested at 25 kHz and 50 kHz values were determined with high accuracy whereas the values of 100 kHz and 200 kHz were only satisfactory to determine the specimen sizes, in other words, the boundaries of the concrete element.

Öz Bu çalışmada yüksek korozyon direnci nedeni ile nükleer güç santrallerinde yaygın bir şekilde kullanılan AISI 316L östenitik paslanmaz çelik, TIG kaynak yöntemi ile farklı kaynak akımlarında ve kaynak hızlarında, ilave tel kullanılmadan birleştirilmiştir. Daha sonra üretilen kaynaklı birleştirmelerin ısı girdileri hesaplanarak, numunelere makro ve mikroyapı çalışmaları, sertlik, çekme ve eğme testleri uygulanmıştır. Mikroyapı çalışmaları sonucunda kaynak metalinin östenit+çatısal ferrit ya da delta ferritten oluşan bir mikroyapıya sahip olduğu görülmüştür. Sertlik deneyleri sonucunda kaynak akımının artması ile sertliğin düştüğü gözlenirken kaynak hızının artması ile de sertliğin yükseldiği belirlenmiştir. Çekme deneyleri sonuçları ise sertlik ölçümleri ile benzerlik göstererek kaynak akımının artması ile çekme dayanımı düşerken kaynak hızının artması ile çekme dayanımı artmıştır. Yapılan 1800 eğme testlerinde ise ne kep eğmelerinde ne de kök eğmelerinde herhangi bir yırtılma ya da çatlamaya rastlanmamıştır. Abstract In this study, AISI 316L austenitic stainless steel, which is widely used in nuclear power plants due to its high corrosion resistance, is joined by TIG welding method at different welding currents and welding speeds without using additional wire. Then, the heat inputs of the produced welded joints were calculated and macro and microstructure studies, hardness, tensile and bending tests were applied to the samples. As a result of the microstructure studies, it has been observed that the weld metal has a microstructure consisting of austenite + Skeletal ferrite or delta ferrite. As a result of the hardness tests, it was observed that the hardness decreased with the increase of the welding current, and the hardness increased with the increase of the welding speed. As a result of the tensile tests, similar to the hardness measurements, the tensile strength decreased with the increase of the welding current, while the tensile strength increased with the increase in the welding speed. No tearing or cracking was observed in either the cap twists or the root bends in the 1800 bending tests.

Öz Bu çalışmada, Organik Rankine Çevrimi (ORÇ) üze rinde etkisi olan performans parametrelerinin hassasiyet seviyeleri ve katkı oranları belirlenmiştir. Performans parametreleri evaporatör-kondenser pinch point sıcaklık farkı (∆T_(PP,e), ∆T_(PP,k)), soğutma suyu giriş sıcaklığı (T_(c,i)), aşırı kızdırma sıcaklığı (T_ak), türbin-pompa izantropik verimleri (η_t ve η_p) olarak seçilmiştir. Bu parametrelerin ORÇ sistemi üzerindeki etkisi farklı amaç fonksiyonları altında değerlendirilmiştir. İncelenen amaç fonksiyonları; ısıl verim, net güç ve ekserji verimi maksimizasyonu ile toplam tersinmezlik, hacimsel debi oranı (VFR) ve çevresel etki faktör (EEF) minimizasyonudur. Böylece enerji-ekserji analizi ile termodinamik performans, türbin ekonomisinde önemli etkisi olan VFR ve termodinamik sürdürülebilirlik indeksleri ile çevresel faktör incelenmiştir. Amaç fonksiyonlarının değişmesiyle performans parametrelerinin etkisinin büyük bir oranda değişkenlik gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. ∆T_(PP,e)’nin etkisi maksimum ısıl verimin elde edilmesinde %20.59 etkili iken, maksimum türbin gücünün elde edilmesinde %71.9 etkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada Taguchi-ANOVA’dan yararlanılmıştır. L25 ortogonal dizilim kullanılmasıyla amaç fonksiyonlarına ulaşılmasında optimum ortogonal dizilimler ve parametrelerin hassasiyet seviye sıralaması tespit edilmiştir. Tüm amaç fonksiyonlarının eşit oranda etkilediği bir ağırlık fonksiyonu tanımlanmasıyla ORÇ performansı üzerinde %42.85 ∆T_(PP,e) ve %25.71 ise T_(c,i)’nin etkisinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Son olarak; regresyon analizi ile her bir amaç fonksiyonu için performans parametrelerine bağlı olarak denklemler çıkarılmıştır. Ampirik denklem ile tahmin edilen sonuçlar ile nümerik analiz sonuçları arasındaki hata oranları çıkartılmıştır. Bu oranlara bakıldığında ampirik denklemlerin ORÇ performansının belirlenmesinde başarılı bir şekilde kullanılabileceği tespit edilmiştir. Abstract In this study, the sensitivity levels and contribution rates of the performance parameters that have an effect on the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) were determined. Performance parameters were chosen as evaporator-condenser pinch point temperature difference (∆T_(PP,e), ∆T_(PP,k)), cooling water inlet temperature (T_(c,i)), superheating temperature (T_ak), turbine-pump isentropic efficiencies (η_t ve η_p). The effects of these parameters on the ORC system were evaluated under different objective functions. Examined objective functions; thermal efficiency, net power, and exergy efficiency maximization; total irreversibility, volumetric flow rate (VFR) and environmental impact factor (EEF) minimization. Thus, thermodynamic performance with energy-exergy analysis; VFR, which has a significant impact on turbine economy; thermodynamic sustainability indices and environmental factor were examined. It has been determined that the effect of performance parameters varies greatly with the change of objective functions. While the effect of ∆T_(PP,e) was 20.59% effective in obtaining maximum thermal efficiency, it was determined that it was 71.9% effective in obtaining maximum turbine power. Taguchi-ANOVA was used in the study. By using the L25 orthogonal array, the optimum orthogonal arrays and the sensitivity level order of the parameters have been determined to reach the objective functions. By defining a weight function that affects all objective functions equally, it was determined that 42.85% ∆T_(PP,e) and 25.71% T_(c,i) had an effect on ORC performance. Finally; with regression analysis, equations are derived for each objective function depending on the performance parameters. The error rates between the results estimated by the empirical equation and the numerical analysis results were extracted. Considering these ratios, it has been determined that empirical equations can be used successfully in determining ORC performance.
