Öz: Ftalosiyaninler keskin mavi-yeşil renkli, oldukça sağlam, iki boyutlu 18 π-elektron konjuge sistemine sahip aromatik makrosiklik bileşiklerdir. Makrohalka yapının merkezi koordinasyon boşluğuna periodik tablonun birçok elementinin; aromatik yapının periferal ve non-periferal konumlarına ise çeşitli fonksiyonel sübstitüentlerin bağlanmasıyla ftalosiyaninlere katalitik, elektrokromik, elektriksel iletkenlik, fotovoltaik, fotoiletkenlik, ışık absorbsiyonu, foto uyarıcı gibi çeşitli özellikler kazandırmak mümkündür. Geleneksel bakır ftalosiyanin pigmenti dışında farklı ftalosiyanin türevlerinin de tekstil materyallerinin renklendirilmesinde kullanılmasıyla; farklı fonksiyonel özellikli (güç tutuşur, antibakteriyel…vs) teknik tekstillerin elde edilebileceği düşünülmektedir. Bu sebeple bu araştırmada ftalosiyaninler hakkında genel bilgi verilip, tekstil materyallerinin renklendirilmesi ve antibakteriyel özellik kazandırılması üzerine yapılmış bazı çalışmalar anlatılmıştır. Anahtar kelimeler: Ftalosiyanin, Tekstil, Pigment, Boya Abstract: Phthalocyanines are intensely blue-green-coloured, quite stable aromatic macrocyclic compounds having a two-dimensional 18-π electron conjugated system. Phthalocyanines are acquired various properties such as catalytic, electrochromic, electrical conductivity, photovoltaic, photo-conductivity, photo-absorbtion, photosensitizer by bonding most elements of the periodic table to central coordination cavity of macrocylic structure and by linking various functional substituents to peripheral or non-peripheral position of aromatic structure. It is thought that technical textiles having different functional properties, e.g.; antibacterial, fire retardant, can be obtained by also using various phthalocyanine derivatives except traditional copper phthalocyanine pigment in colouration of textile materials. For this reason, in this research general knowledge about phthalocyanines were given then some studies about their usage in textile material colouration and being achieved antibacterial properties were told.

Öz: İnsan teni ile temas eden tekstil ürünlerinin tercihinde konfor önemli bir parametredir. Konforu belirleyen en önemli parametrelerden biri de tekstil ürününün elyaf içeriğidir. Luxicool elyafı göreceli yeni bir hammadde olup, polimer yapısı sayesinde mükemmel nem ve ısı transferi sağlayarak üstün konfor hissi verdiği üretici firma tarafından iddia edilmektedir. Bu çalışmada luxicool elyafı bandaj üretiminde ve örme kumaşta kullanılarak konfora yaptığı etki objektif ve subjektif olarak test edilmiştir. Bandaj üreticisi bir firmada PA 6 ve PU iplikler ile üretilen standart ürünün yanında PET/luxicool karışımı iplikler de kullanılarak yeni bandaj üretimi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ayrıca örme makinelerinde PA 6/luxicool, PA 6.6/luxicool, PET/luxicool, PET/PET ve PA 6.6/PA 6.6 katlı iplikler ile kumaşlar örülmüştür. Bandaj ve kumaşlara patlama mukavemeti, boncuklanma, ısıl özellikler (ısıl iletkenlik, ısıl direnç, ısıl soğurganlık), kalınlık, su buharı geçirgenliği, hava geçirgenliği ve dinamik sürtünme katsayısı testleri yapılmıştır. Aynı zamanda bandajlar yoğun fiziksel aktivite yapan kişilere kullandırılarak genel konfor, yumuşaklık, kuruluk, serinlik parametreleri anketler ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Sonuç olarak; luxicool elyafı içeren numunede diğer numuneye göre hava geçirgenliği, su buharı geçirgenliği, ısıl iletkenlik, ısıl soğurganlık değerleri daha yüksektir. Luxicool elyafı içermeyen numunede ise su buharı direnci, ısıl direnç, dinamik sürtünme katsayısı, kalınlık değerleri daha yüksektir. Anketlere göre luxicool elyafı içeren bandajlar diğer bandajlara göre daha iyi performans göstermiştir. En anlamlı farka kuruluk parametresinde ulaşılmıştır. One of the most important parameter affecting comfort is fiber content. Luxicool fiber is relatively new material and according to its producer, it has superior comfort feeling through perfect moisture and heat transfer capabilities because of its polymer structure. In this study, contribution to comfort of luxicool fibers were tested objectively and subjectively by using in bandage production and knitted fabrics. A bandage producer company is using PA 6 and PU fibers for standard bandage production. Company produced another bandage type using PET/luxicool blended yarn with PA 6 and PU fibers for this study. Besides using doubled yarns with PA 6/luxicool, PA 6.6/luxicool, PET/luxicool, PET/PET and PA 6.6/PA 6.6 fabrics were produced on knitted machines. Bursting strength, pilling, thermal properties (thermal conductivity, thermal resistance, thermal absorptivity), thickness, water vapor permeability, air permeability and dynamic coefficient of friction tests were been made to those bandages and knitted fabrics. In addition bandages were used by people who are doing intensive physical activities. Performances of bandages were investigated by a survey considering general comfort, softness, dryness and coolness parameters. As a result; bandages containing luxicool fibers have higher values on air permeability, water vapor permeability, thermal conductivity, and thermal absorptivity but lower values on water vapor resistance, heat resistance, dynamic coefficient of friction, thickness than the other bandages. Depending on the survey, bandages containing luxicool fibers show better performance than the others. The most significant difference is found on dryness parameter.

Abstract: This paper presents a computer aided detection (CAD) system which uses wiener filter based approach for detection of defects in poplin fabric. The defective fabric images are taken with the help of the digital camera. The developed system consists of three phases, including preprocessing, segmentation and detection of fabric defect. In preprocessing phase, a RGB to gray level conversion and image enhancement operations were applied to digital camera images. In segmentation phase, background of the gray level image segmented using morphologic operations. Then, segmented image was converted to binary image to facilitate fabric defect detection process. Fabric defect detection was performed using wiener filter in the detection phase of the system. Wiener filter is applied to binary level image to eliminate structures which are not defect. The developed detection system applied on defective poplin images for detection. The obtained results on different kinds of fabric defects show that the proposed algorithm gives promising results. Öz: Bu çalışmada poplin kumaşta hata tespiti için wiener filtre tabanlı bilgisayar destekli tespit sistemi sunulmaktadır. Hatalı kumaş görüntüleri dijital kamera yardımıyla alınmıştır. Geliştirilen sistem önişleme, bölütleme ve kumaş hata tespiti olarak 3 asamadan oluşmaktadır. On isleme aşaması, dijital görüntülere RGB seviyeden gri seviyeye çevirme ve görüntü iyileştirme adımlarından oluşmaktadır. Bölütleme aşamasında, gri seviye görüntünün arka planı morfolojik işlemler ile bölütlenmiştir. Ardından, bölütlenen görüntü, hata tespit işlemini gerçekleştirmek için ikili seviye görüntüye çevrilmiştir. Kumaş hata tespiti, hata tespit sistemi sırasında wiener filtre kullanılarak gerçeklenmiştir. Wiener filtre ikili seviyedeki görüntüye hatalı olmayan alanların elimine edilmesi amacıyla uygulanmıştır. Gerçeklenen sistem, tespit işlemi için hatalı poplin kumaşlara uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar, geliştirilen algoritmanın farklı tip kumaş hatalarında iyi sonuçlar vermektedir. Öz: Silar metodu kullanılarak 70 °C’de cam alttabanlar üzerine polikristal Cu2O ince filmleri elde edildi. XRD analizleri filmlerin kübik yapıda olduğunu gösterdi ve örgü parametreleri hesaplandı. Filmlerin yüzey morfolojisi alan emisyonlu taramalı elektron mikroskobu (FE-SEM) ile görüntülendi. Filmlerin optik özelliklerini belirlemek için UV/vis spektrofotometresi kullanılmıştır. Filmlerin oda sıcaklığındaki optik geçirgenlik (% T) değerleri 300-1100 nm dalga boyu aralığında belirlenmiştir. Yarıiletken Cu2O ince filmlerinin görünür bölgedeki optik geçirgenlik değerleri %50-70 olarak bulunmuştur. Filmlerin enerji bant aralığı değerleri (Eg) 2.53-2.62 eV bulundu. XRD analysis showed the films are a cubic structure and lattice parameters were calculated. The surface morphology of the films were imaged by FE-SEM (Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope). In order to determine the optical properties of the Cu2O thin films UV/vis spectrophotometer was used. Optical transmittance (T %) values of the Cu2O films were determined in the wavelength range 300-1100 nm at room temperature. Semiconductor Cu2O of the thin films optical transmittance values were found to be 50-70% in the visible region. Energy band gap values (Eg) of the films were found to be 2.53-2.62 eV.

Öz: Bu çalışmada, bakırın korozyon davranışlarına askorbik asidin etkisi %3.5 NaCl çözeltisinde (pH=9.0) potansiyodinamik polarizasyon ve elektrokimyasal impedans spektroskopisi kullanılarak araştırılmıştır. Askorbik asidin farklı derişimlerde akım-potansiyel eğrileri ve Nyquist eğrileri elde edilmiştir. Askorbik asit içeren ve içermeyen %3.5 NaCI çözeltilerinde bekletildikten sonra bakır elektrotun taramalı elektron mikroskopu (SEM) ile yüzey görüntüleri kaydedilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlardan askorbik asit %3.5 NaCl çözeltisinde bakırın korozyonunu engellemektedir. İnhibisyon etkinliğinin askorbik asit konsantrasyonundaki azalma ile arttığı tespit edilmiştir. Anahtar kelimeler: Bakır, Elektrokimyasal teknikler, Korozyon, Adsorpsiyon izotermi Abstract: In this study, the effect of Ascorbic acid in the corrosion behaviour of copper has been investigated in 3.5% NaCl solution (pH=9.0) using potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Current-potential curve and Nyquist diagrams were obtained in different concentrations of ascorbic acid. The surface morphology of copper after their exposure to 3.5% NaCl solution with and without of ascorbic acid was examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The obtained results show that, ascorbic acid inhibits corrosion of copper in 3.5% NaCl solution. Inhibition activity was determined to increase with decrease in the concentration of ascorbic acid.

Abstract: Cadmium is recently threatening not only the life of man but also nature and living environment. In addition, cadmium usage is generally decreasing because it is toxic. 3-Methyl-4-(4-hydroxybenzylidenamino)-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-one (MDT) in 0.1 M supporting electrolyte was attached to glassy carbon electrode (GCE) by the phenol oxidation. The modified surface was investigated by several methods. The stability of the prepared surface was presented. The GCE with MDT was utilized for Cd(II) ions analysis in water samples. The concentration range and the detection limit were 1.0×10-9-1.0×10-8 M and 2.0×10-10 M, respectively. Öz: Kadmiyum son yıllarda sadece insan yaşamını değil doğa ve yaşam alanını da tehdit etmektedir. Ayrıca, toksik olmasından dolayı kadmiyum kullanımı genellikle azalmaktadır. Camsı karbon elektrot (GCE), 3-Methyl-4-(4-hydroxybenzylidenamino)-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-one (MDT)’ nin fenol oksidasyonu ile 0.1 M destek elektrolit içinde modifiye olmuştur. Modifiye edilmiş yüzey, birkaç teknik kullanılarak ile karakterize edilmiştir. Hazırlanan yüzeyin kararlılığı gösterilmiştir. MDT ile modifye edilmiş GCE, su örneklerinde Cd(II) iyon analizi için kullanılmıştır. Derişim aralığı ve deteksiyon limiti sırasıyla 1.0×10-9 - 1.0×10-8 M ve 2.0×10-10 M, olarak bulunmuştur. Öz: Kobalt (Co) atık sularda bulunan en önemli ağır metallerden biridir. Kimyasal bazlı endüstrilerdeki atık sularda bulunan Co gibi bazı metaller yaşam biçimine toksik veya zararlı etkiye sahip olabilir. Bu nedenle çevresel tehlikeye neden olan atık sularda toksik metallerin giderilmesi önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmada; doğal pomza minerali ile sulu çözeltilerden Co(II) iyonunun adsorpsiyonla giderimi kesikli sistemde incelenmiştir. Merkezi kompozit tasarım (MKT) içeren cevap yüzey yöntemi (CYY) pH, başlangıç Co(II) konsantrasyonu (Co) ve sıcaklık (T, °C) gibi adsorpsiyonu etkileyen önemli ortam koşullarını optimize etmek ve modellemek için bir cevap yüzeyi geliştirmek amacıyla başarılı bir şekilde uygulanmıştır. MKT’de deneysel sonuçların uyduğu quadratik modelden elde edilen model eşitliği ile optimum koşullar belirlenmiştir. Bu optimum koşullar pH 7.79, Co 69.84 mg/L ve sıcaklık 20 °C olarak bulunmuştur. Bu optimum koşullarda adsorpsiyon kapasitesi 2.816 mg/g ve adsorpsiyon yüzdesi ise %40.32 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Daha sonra program tarafından elde edilen bu bilgiler deneylerle doğrulanmıştır. Some metals such as Co in wastewater from chemical-based industries can have toxic or harmful effects on life forms. Hence, removal of toxic metals in wastewater causing environmental hazards has a great importance. In this work, removal of Co(II) ions with adsorption from aqueous solutions by natural pumice has been investigated in a batch system. Response Surface Methodology (RSM) including the central composite design (CCD) was successfully applied to develop a response surface and optimize the medium conditions affecting significantly the adsorption such as pH, initial Co(II) concentration (Co) and temperature (T, °C). In CCD, optimum conditions were determined by the model equation obtained from the quadratic model fitting the experimental results. These optimum conditions were found to be 7.79, 69.84 mg/L and 20 °C for pH, Co and temperature, respectively. At these optimum conditions, the adsorption capacity and adsorption yield were calculated as 2.816 mg/g and 40.32%, respectively. Then, the data obtained by the program were confirmed by experiments.

Öz: Bu çalışmada, salisilik asit türevleri [salisilik asit (H2sal) veya asetilsalisilik asit (Hasal)] ile 2-aminobenzotiyazol türevlerinin [2-aminobenzotiyazol (abt) veya 2-amino-6-klorobenzotiyazol (Clabt) veya 2-amino-6-metilbenzotiyazol (Meabt)] karışık ligandlı Cu(II) geçiş metal kompleksleri sentezlenmiştir. Amorf halde elde edilen geçiş metal komplekslerinin yapıları elementel analiz, ICP-OES, FT-IR, UV-Vis, termal analiz, manyetik duyarlılık ve molar iletkenlik sonuçları dikkate alınarak önerilmiştir. The structures of amorphous metal complexes have been proposed by evaluating the data obtained from elemental analysis, ICP-OES, FT-IR, UV-Vis, thermal analysis, magnetic susceptibility and molar conductivity studies.

Öz: Bu çalışmada; biyokütle olarak seçilen nar posasından kimyasal aktivasyonla aktif karbon üretimi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Aktif karbon üretiminde sıcaklık, emdirme süresi, emdirme oranı parametrelerinin etkisi araştırılmıştır. Aktivasyon deneyleri, kimyasal (KOH) kullanılarak, 500 °C ve 700 °C’de 0.5/1; 1/1; 2/1 emdirme oranlarında, 24 ve 48 sa. emdirme süresinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen aktif karbonlar BET, FTIR, elementel ve SEM analizleri yapılarak karakterize edilmiştir. En yüksek yüzey alanına sahip aktif karbon (668.98 m2/g) seçilerek, sulu çözeltiden boyar madde giderimi araştırılmıştır. pH, adsorban miktarı, çözelti başlangıç derişimi ve çözelti sıcaklığı gibi parametrelerin, adsorpsiyon üzerindeki etkileri gözlemlenmiştir En yüksek giderim pH 1’te, 10 g/L adsorban varlığında, 50 ppm başlangıç derişiminde, 25 °C’de %96.60 olarak bulunmuştur. The influences of parameters such as temperature, impregnation time, impregnation ratio on activated carbon production were investigated. Activation experiments were carried out using KOH at temperatures of 500 °C and 700 °C, with the impregnation ratio of 0.5/1; 1/1; 2/1 and impregnation duration of 24 or 48 hours. Activated carbons obtained from the experiments were characterized by BET, FTIR, elemental, and SEM. The activated carbon with the surface area of 668.9825 m2/g was obtained and used as an adsorbent for the removal of dye from the aqueous solutions. The influences of pH, adsorbent dose, initial dye concentration and temperature on adsorption were investigated. The maximum dye removal efficiency of 96.60% was obtained at the adsorbent dose of 10 g/L initial concentration of 50 ppm and a solution pH 1.

Öz: Çalışmada domates salçası üretim atığı olan domates çekirdeğinin krakerlerde kullanılabilirliği araştırılmıştır. Böylece birçok aktif gıda bileşeni bakımından zengin olduğu ifade edilen domates çekirdeğinin insan beslenmesine dahil olma potansiyelinin belirlenmesine çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada kontrol grubunun haricindeki krakerlerin üretiminde buğday ununa %2, %4 ve %6 oranlarında domates çekirdeği tozu ilave edilmiştir. Çalışmada, domates çekirdeği tozu ilavesiyle krakerlerin protein, yağ, kül, çözünür, çözünmeyen ve toplam diyet lifi, mineral madde oranları (Mg, Ca, K, P, Mn, Fe), toplam fenolik madde içerikleri ile antioksidan aktivite değerlerinde önemli artışların (p<0.05) olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Domates çekirdeği ilave edilen krakerlerin L ve a değerlerinin kontrol krakerden farklı (p<0.05), b değerlerinin ise benzer (p>0.05) olduğu saptanmıştır. Duyusal değerlendirmede tüm krakerlerin renk, koku ve çıtırlık özellikleri benzer bulunmuştur. Ancak, %6 domates çekirdeği ilave edilen krakerlerin lezzet ve genel beğeni puanlarında önemli (p < 0.05) düşüş olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Thus, it was studied to determine the usability of tomato seeds which were known as rich in active food ingredients in human nutrition. During the production of cracker, wheat flour was partially (2%, 4% and 6%) substituted with tomato seed meal. In the study, it was found that substitution of tomato seed meal into wheat flour caused a significant (p<0.05) increase in protein, oil, ash, soluble, insoluble and total dietary fiber contents, minerals (Mg, Ca, K, P, Mn, Fe), total phenolics and antioxidant capacity values. Cracker samples having tomato seed had significantly different (p<0.05) L and a values, and similar (p>0.05) b values with control crackers. Color, flavor and crispiness values of all crackers were similar in sensory evaluation. But crackers having 6% of tomato seed meal received significantly (p<0.05) lower scores in flavor and overall acceptability.
