Selected Aspects of Marketing Pilgrimage Sites

Tourism centered on pilgrimages to religious sites in Slovakia, the target groups being individuals, family, youth seniors, etc., promotes the spiritual, cultural and educational growth of those who partake of it. But, more importantly, this trade in tourism promotes the regional economy in terms of tourism thereby promoting the growth of the whole country.
The objective of this paper is to examine pilgrimage sites, highlight their importance with regards to ecumenical, cultural and economic aspects.
