This study analyzed an innovation product i.e. paid socket, not on the market yet, and aimed at the feasibility analysis of paid socket market. We used survey method to investigate the end users. Firstly, in view of the "public", we surveyed people about what factors affecting the consumers willingness to use this socket. The Second part was to understand merchants ideas about the socket by in-depth interviews. Through SEM analysis, we found that safety and environmental friendliness are two important factors for the users to use the socket, and through in-depth interviews, we found the "installation convenience" and "marketing activities" are most considered by the stores. The implication of the results show that business opportunities behind the paid socket are large, whether in public area or stores , and the viewpoints of using the paid socket were different. Enhanced design and development of the socket could solve the two sides problems and meet needs of the public and merchants by recovering the cost and expending marketing spots. Consumers did not have to spend a lot of money to enjoy convenience, fairness and justice caused by paid sockets.

In past literature, most studies discussed organizational fit from a single perspective instead of examining the positive and negative effects of high and low organizational fit through a comprehensive and concrete narrative and integrated concept. Furthermore, most studies attempted to explain “how to make integration work’’, while omitting “why integration is not easily achieved’’, often resulting in post-mergers and acquisitions (M&A) failure. This study surveyed top managers working for publicly-traded Taiwanese companies which had processed M&A in the past five years. We randomly chose qualifying companies by using secondary data, and then mailed 300 questionnaires to top managers of the respective firms who were directly or indirectly involved in the M&A. The results of this study indicate the possibility of integration project after M&A has been proven. It signifies high organizational fit companies are more likely to implement organizational management than companies with low organizational fit. Second, the relationship between the organizational fit and the integration possibility of organizational management shows a positive correlation. Specifically, the symmetry of power contains a high correlation with four variables of organizational management.

The purpose of this study was to find out how stroke patients' chronic regulatory focus interacted with message framing had impact on the therapy frequency and functional outcome. A one factor (chronic regulatory focus) x 2 (message framing: gain vs. loss) between-subject design was employed with questionnaire and evaluation form. Ninety-six stroke patients recruited from different medical units in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan were randomly assigned to read one of two messages. Therapy frequency and functional outcome, Barthel Index were used as dependent variables. One way ANOVA repeated measure, regression analyses and simple slope analysis were used to examine the effects. The results indicated that chronic regulatory focus had long term effects on the therapy frequency, and Barthel Index. The mediating effect of therapy frequency and the interaction effect between chronic regulatory focus and message framing were not supported, but the simple slope analysis showed that gain-framed message was more likely to prompt therapy frequency on patients with stroke. This study provided the practitioners guidelines to design the persuasive message to facilitate therapy and sustain the behavior.

This study examines the processes undertaken by a state-owned enterprise to overcome limitations and successfully reverse its decline through moderate, gradual and small-scale evolutionary change. This paper utilizes the "social process research model" to analyze and record organizational changes at Jiangnan Resort, and further observes strategic countermeasures employed to address crises and successful management of organizational change. Results from our study suggest that organizational evolutionary change strategies should include institutionalization strategies, development of marketing channels, festival event marketing, placement marketing, product packaging strategies, niche market segmentation, service quality enhancement, and manpower flexibility strategies. Key factors in change management include Total Quality Management (TQM), Management by Objective (MBO), organizational members understanding of urgency and need of change, gaining support through education and communication, employee empowerment and participation, and institutionalizing change. The resulting information can serve as a reference for future qualitative research and development of strategic concepts for organizations planning to adopt evolutionary change into their companies.

Public policies in a pluralistic society should be able to clarify and cope with the complicated nature of public issues dominated by multiple parties, multiple values, and subjective judgment. Therefore, instead of merely concluding with the outcome, we should also take input into account when evaluating resource allocation or assessing policy effectiveness. This research adopted fairness measurement approach of the Information Integration Theory (IIT) to analyze Cijin Seaside Park and Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf in Taiwan, and conducted procedural justice for policy-making. This dimension of procedural justice was based on the designs of input and outcome; the input was policy support and the outcome used the level of administrative cooperation as an assessment indicator. Twenty local merchants and twenty tourists were purposively sampled from each site. The study results indicated that the local merchants in both Cijin Seaside Park and Tamshi Fishers' Wharf fit the unequal-weight averaging rule of policy support factor. They also fit the unequal-weight averaging rule of the administrative cooperation factor. As for the tourists, those in both Cijin Seaside Park and Tamshi Fishers' Wharf fit the unequal-weight averaging rule of policy support factor. Also, they fit the unequal-weight averaging rule of the administrative cooperation factor.

he purpose of this study, which drew upon an implementation model of information technology to apply a systematic strategy for services innovations in Taiwan's retailing industry. The two major differences between the business model before and after importing an information system were as follows. One was the improvement in internal operational efficiency, such as the information exchanged between suppliers or companies. The other was the optimization of consumer services, which created different new services and features. Based on DOI (diffusion of innovation) theory, importing an information system into a supermarket chain was analyzed using the ICT (information communications technology) and improved service processing was thus obtained. The results showed that retailing industry presented an in-depth discussion of the strategies, models and important factors used to upgrade its efficiency and business performance. Doing this would increase customers' satisfaction, creating loyal customers, and result in favorable word-of-mouth marketing. This enterprise intercompany transfer cargo efficient to reduce the stock rate would be beneficial to both suppliers and customers.
