This study aimed to determine the utilization of research results of the selection of marine fungi for milkfish (Chanos chanos) feed. The study was conducted in stages, starting with identifying the issues in the learning activities of biotechnology concepts, followed by experiments to identify research methods and products, selecting an adaptation of research findings as the learning source content, and application and development of research findings as learning. The data and information were gathered through an interview grid and a questionnaire, and the findings of the surveys were then analyzed qualitatively. The results of a selection study of marine fungi from Dua Island, Banten, Indonesia as feed for milkfish related to basic competency (KD) 3.10 and 4.10 can be used as learning resources as digital magazines for class XII high school students. Thus, media can help student in learning process.

Recently, there has been a concern in many parts of the world about the teaching strategies employed at higher education institutions (HEI). Empirical evidence shows that pedagogical practices affect the student engagement and academic excellence. Despite progress on the new innovative pedagogies globally, Somaliland HEI are still struggling with the old didactic teaching method which impedes students lifelong learning and future endeavors. Traditional teaching methods of HEI in Somaliland prevented students to unleash their potentials. Guided by the human capital theory, this study examined the status of lecturers’ application to modern pedagogical practices. The 35 lecturers at the University of Hargeisa, Somalia from the different faculties who had received postgraduate diploma in education provided by the university participated in this study. Employed by micro-teaching observation protocol of quantitative research design, the study found out lecture method as the most prevalent in their teaching practicum, with very low student cognitive engagement, inconsistencies with the instructional behavior and inadequate instructional aids. The study therefore proposed a cooperative jigsaw method as a veritable strategy for effective classrooms and better student engagement. The study recommends Somaliland higher education to adopt the policies, guidelines and regulations that guide the universities across the country.

The quality improvement of human resources in the society 5.0 era in the 21st century is closely related to technology, and one of the ways this can be achieved is by using YouTube. Therefore, this research determined the differences in student cognitive learning outcomes and critical thinking before and after applying the YouTube-assisted discovery model in German Language Education Study Program at Pattimura University, Indonesia. A pseudo-experiment a pretest and posttest unequal control group design was used to obtain 20 2nd semester students who took the course Strukturen und Wortschatz zur Aufbaustufe A2.1. Furthermore, the sample determination used a proportional sampling technique. Data collection was done using the instrument in the form of essays tests to determine the cognitive learning and critical thinking outcomes, questionnaire sheets, and interviews. The paired T-test showed a value of p=0.000<α=0.05, indicating significant differences in cognitive learning outcomes and critical thinking skills before and after applying the YouTube-assisted discovery learning model. This was confirmed by an increase in the cognitive test scores and critical thinking of students after applying the learning model. Therefore, the results can be applied to other concepts in German language learning.

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) during the era of the fourth industrial revolution, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and the government’s call for large-scale social restrictions have led to the emergence of online learning systems (OLS) in higher education. This study develops a measurement model for the success of OLS based on the DeLone & McLean model. Surveys were conducted on a sample of 175 students from domestic and international universities. Data processing used the partial least squares structural equation modeling or PLS-SEM method, and root cause analysis. The results show that platform quality has a positive influence on OLS success, whether mediated by user satisfaction or OLS usage. Social influence has a positive effect on OLS success, mediated by OLS usage. User computer anxiety has a negative effect on OLS success, mediated by user satisfaction. Recommendations to improve OLS success include adjusting internet package rates to make them more affordable, improving signal strength to various locations for better coverage, limiting the number of users in one learning session for more effective OLS, and the need for organizational support in using the right applications.

Teachers’ interventions against the behaviors of students with intellectual disability (ID) are urgent for their instructional strategies in the classroom. There were 42 teachers of children with ID given a questionnaire via Google Forms. The questions posed concerned the antecedents of the behavior problems in students with ID, the forms of the behavior problems, teachers’ measures, post-intervention conditions, and suggestions for parents. The strongest trigger of behavior problems found was the teacher’s direction for a task, in which task refusal. In response to the task refusal behavior, the teacher took a measure by calming the students down and resulted in the students turning calm. This predictor of the teacher’s intervention can be applied as a basis for parents’ participation in collaboration to overcome behavior problems in students with ID. The teachers’ interventions against behavior problems in students with ID took the form of measures that were of the fading and prompting nature as well as the form of verbal diversion. The teachers’ interventions above mentioned can be used as predictors as they are relevant to the antecedents of the behavior problems of the students with ID, the forms of the behavior problems, and the concequences the teachers should follow.

The notion of digital literacy has become the trend in any field, including this research. This research aimed to find the level of digital literacy and adequate and inadequate domains in each pre-service teachers of English education digital literacy group. Quantitative research with digital competence framework or DCF then adjusted and validated through the expert judgment by Aiken V as the main questionnaire occurred to measure the level of digital literacy. Indonesia and Thailand pre-service teacher in various universities participated in this research. The research found that: i) The most level of digital literacy whether in Indonesia and Thailand, the pre-service teacher has an intermediate level followed by basic and advanced and ii) The researcher claims ‘information’ as an inadequate domain and ‘implement tech to learning’ as the adequate domain in each level of digital literacy. Further research is needed to examine effectiveness of project-based learning, problem-based learning, and case study in enhancing digital literacy through qualitative and quantitative research.

Online learning causes teachers to be considered more active than students, so students’ higher-order thinking skills decrease. Limited face-to-face learning is a new normal policy in the field of education. Learning models can be one way to recreate active learning to improve student’s learning outcomes. This study determines the effectiveness of the problem-based learning (PBL) model in enhancing student learning outcomes of geography in new normal learning. This research is a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The population is all class XI social study (IPS) at Senior High School 13 Banjarmasin, Indonesia. The sample is used as the experimental group, namely XI IPS 3 totaling 17 students, and the sample is used as the control group, namely XI IPS 2 totaling 14 students. Data collection techniques use tests, non-test, interviews, and documentation. The results are the independent t-test in the experimental and control groups showed that the PBL model effectively improved student learning outcomes in geography in the new normal learning era. The implication is the PBL model can be applied to new normal learning by teachers by elaborating with learning technology which is still adapted to the characteristics of students so that learning objectives are achieved.

The learners’ conceptual understanding has become one of the leading research areas conducted by educational researchers. Both students and current educators should actively work to improve their understanding of alternative conceptions and deepen their conceptual knowledge. One of the essential concepts in chemistry learning is colligative properties. This research is a literature review that discusses vapor-pressure lowering and boiling-point elevation, parts of colligative properties concept. The method used a meta-analysis review that combined the results of multiple studies that required a systematic approach to research of the literature. A preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis or known as PRISMA process was used for study selection. The following literature review was summarized based on various studies from Indonesia, United States of America (USA), Turkey, and Greece. The aims of this review were to provide important details from several previous studies to help researchers obtain complete sources. The findings were also expected to provide the learner with the correct understanding of chemistry, especially in vapor-pressure lowering and boiling-point elevation concepts.

in online classes during the pandemic COVID-19 is scarce. The current research can have a significant impact on teaching and learning practices, and contribute to the development of evidence-based policies and practices that support student success. Thus, the current study aimed at exploring English teachers’ AfL practice in online classes. This study belonged to a basic qualitative approach and recruited four English foreign language or EFL teachers from the secondary school level. Observation and semi-structured interviews using an interview guide were conducted to gain the data. To ensure the trustworthiness of the data, other documents were collected. Subsequently, utilizing the spiral strategy, the gained data were analyzed. The results revealed that the implementation of AfL deviated from the course. Insufficient knowledge, curriculum, internet accessibility, and technological acceptance are pivotal causes of such deviation. Thus, teachers might not diagnose students’ current learning level and decide on a further teaching action. Further studies on other educational levels are demanded to explore the practice of AfL.

A positive perception situation positively increases the person’s worthiness, self-confidence and perspective towards time. The current study determined the relationship between the positive perception and social well-being levels of students during the COVID-19 quarantine period. The study group consisted of 236 students, 110 females and 126 males (mean age=21.30±1.99). Positive perception scale and social well-being scale were used. Skewness kurtosis normality distribution test was used to determine whether the measurements are suitable for normal distribution. Skewness-kurtosis technique showed normal distribution in all dimensions according to the technique. In the analysis of the study data, Pearson product moment correlation analysis with descriptive statistics and multivariate analysis of variance or MANOVA analyzes scores were performed to determine the relationship between positive perception and social well-being. As a result, it is understood that students have over mid-level of positive perception and mid-level social well-being levels. According to the results of the correlation analysis, it was concluded that there was a positive and meaningful relationship between the social well-being and sub-dimensions of the positive perception scale.

This study determined how chemistry instruction using technology affected student achievement and retention. To achieve the goal of the study, Solomon’s four-group quasi-experimental research design was used. The one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and independent sample t-test were used to statistically examine the data. A one-way ANOVA analysis revealed that, for achievement and retention, respectively, the mean scores of both trial groups showed statistically significant differences from the mean scores of comparison groups F (3.161)=88.568, p<0.05 and F (3.161)=14.75, p<0.05). The independent samples t-test on the achievement and retention post-test mean score of the experimental and comparison groups respectively, was statistically significant (t (163)=16.05, p<0.05 and t (162.09)=7.61, p<0.05). Independent sample t-test shows that male and female students’ post-test scores for achievement or retention in the experimental group results was (t (42)=1.53; p>0.05 and t (38)=-0.465; p>0.05, respectively. This intervention has no statistically significant gender related impact on students’ achievement and retention. Thus, it is conceivable to draw the conclusion that chemistry instruction that incorporates technology enhances student achievement and retention, but its effect is gender neutral. According to recent studies, chemistry teachers and teacher training programs should use technology-integrated lessons to help students acquire and recall chemical bonding concepts.

The rate of child marriage worldwide reaches 21%. Indonesia was the 37th country with the second-highest percentage of child marriages in ASEAN. Adolescent knowledge and attitudes affect behavior in child marriages. Therefore, educational media is needed to increase knowledge and form positive attitudes in adolescents related to the maturation of age marriage. This study was to determine the effect of video on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about the maturation of age marriage. This research used a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design carried out in April-October 2022. The experimental group was given treatment through an educational video and the control group using a pocketbook. High school student was the population. Sampling technique was employed, involving 120 respondents for both groups. The research instrument used was a questionnaire which has been tested. Data analysis using statistical test software. In the video group, the mean difference test results for the level of knowledge were p=0.000 and attitude was p=0.006. In the pocketbook group, the level of knowledge was p=0.003 and attitude was p=0.314. Educational video is an effective method to improve adolescents’ knowledge and attitude about the maturation of age marriage. It can be used to prevent child marriage among adolescents.

Ever since the pandemic occured, almost every sector utilize technology to accommodate learning. To tackle every possibility that may interfere the learning process, perspectives in using technology from teachers needed to be taken into account. Thereofore, the needs of finding the perspecives of teachers in teaching and learning especially in kindergarten are crucial since they are still new to the settings. Qualitative research design was applied through Google Form as the media to reach the participants. In collecting the data, the participants were asked about the use of the technology in the teaching and learning process using English as the language of instruction. This research involved eight teachers (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8) of English for young learners in three different schools. Results revealed that there were four main themes which indicated the use of technology in teaching in the kindergarten students, namely: i) Technology motivates children to learn; ii) Technology effects children’s health; iii) Technology is an optional medium; and iv) Suitable application are needed for better learning. These findings can be useful for the present and future stakeholders of kindergarten schools especially in the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in the teaching of English as a foreign language (EFL) at kindergarten settings.

This study aims to develop and test the feasibility of audio-visual-based learning media in history learning class X in senior high school. This study is a research and development (R&D) type with the analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation (ADDIE) model. The research involved 96 students of class X IPS or social science at State Senior High School 1 Bandar Lampung, Indonesia. The data collection techniques as well as the instruments employed questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques employed qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the study show that: i) The development of audio-visual-based learning media on material about human life in Indonesia’s literacy period was made using the Adobe Photoshop application; and ii) The feasibility of the validation results of media experts, material experts, and learning experts (history teachers) successively with an average result of 4.73 (very good), 4.28 (very good), 4.50 (very good) and the results of the assessment students at 4.37 (very good). Then, the audio visual-based learning media is declared feasible to use. This audio-visual based historical learning media has its charm in being able to encourage students to become higher in learning history.

In the 21st-century, we need a generation who can read and face the challenges of the times. The research aimed to master patterns of science with the next generation science standards (NGSS) standards of junior high school students in north coastal areas of Java Island. The research method is quantitative expose-facto and subjects were 228 students determined by purposive sampling. The students who come from Tegal, Pekalongan, Pati and Demak Regencies north coastal Java Island, Indonesia. The results showed a significant difference between the achievement of students in Tegal, Pekalongan, Pati, and Demak Regencies (p=0.012; ∝=0.05). Based on the analysis of variance (ANOVA) test, there was a significant difference between the groups of students’ achievements in mastery of science oriented NGSS. It can be concluded that the achievement among students from four different regions is quite significant. Students from families with middle and upper economic levels have low achievement but students with low economic levels have high academic achievement.

This study aimed to evaluate the students’ efficacy in literacy and numeracy skills in commerce subjects in secondary schools in Fiji. Focus group discussions and semi-structured interviews were used to gather relevant data. The findings show that literacy and numeracy skills are essential in commerce subjects, as students require basic literacy and numeracy skills to read, write, comprehend, calculate, and interpret. The findings also showed that parental engagement at an early stage of the child’s life helps improve the child’s literacy and numeracy skills. The results also showed that the “drop everything and read” or DEAR programme and modern technology positively affect students’ literacy and numeracy skills, which helps them do better in commerce classes.Literacy

This study developed a mosque-based education integration model curriculum in the face of modernization. This development research adopted the ADDIE development model or analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research was conducted in a limited way at the Syuhada Mosque Foundation, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The informants were 19 people (one foundation administrator, three school principals, and 15 teachers). The research was conducted from January to June 2022. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out in a qualitative and descriptive manner. The results of this study are in the form of a mosque-based education integration model curriculum (IPBM), also known as the Syuhada curriculum, with the characteristics of syuhada attached to this curriculum. The urgency and contribution of this research are to assist educational units in developing a curriculum that coincides with the policy of changing the 2013 curriculum to become an independent curriculum. In addition, to support the implementation of an independent curriculum, develop and design an operational curriculum that is unique to educational units.

The needs of individuals are increasing and diversifying in the rapidly changing world. Individuals cannot continue their lives in society through the only theoretical knowledge, and they also use the skills they have gained. In this regard, the social studies course has an important function in terms of where and how the skills will be used. The fact that the nature of the social studies course is a course in which the theoretical and practical information that prepares students for life are provided, has made it important to teach the skills in the social studies course compared to other courses. In this study, the skills included in the social studies course curriculum in Turkey were examined. In the study, it was observed that the skills were not directly included in the curriculum implemented until 2005. Therefore, the study was limited to the skills included in the social studies course curriculum implemented since 2005. In this study in the case study design, document analysis was applied, and the findings were subjected to descriptive analysis. Thus, it is purposed to reveal the change and transformation by determining the skills added and removed in the social studies course curriculum.

The purpose of this study was to examine the moderating role of feedback in the influence between lecturer leadership, lecturer engagement, and student engagement. The study was conducted on students at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, Indonesia where the number of respondents who filled out the questionnaire was 231 respondents. With structural equation modeling, using SemPLS, a moderation test was conducted to prove the research hypothesis that had been designed. The results of the study show that although feedback affects student engagement, feedback does not act as a moderator in the influence between lecturer leadership, lecturer engagement, and student engagement. Meanwhile, lecturer engagement was found not to affect student engagement, but lecturer engagement significantly affected student engagement. In learning, lecturers must pay attention to feedback and lecturer leadership, if lecturers expect high student engagement. This has implications that lecturers have to provide feedback and practice lecturer leadership in the classroom.

One crucial skill to master by university students related to academic writing activity is paraphrasing skill. However, in Indonesian context, the university students still find paraphrasing challenging. Therefore, this study is intended to explore the use of read, reread, list, compose (RRLC) strategy to enhace the students’ paraphrasing skill in a college context. This study utilizes a qualitative case study design where the data were obtained through observation. The study revealed that RRLC stages can be implemented in learning activity. It engaged the students in activating their prior knowledge, doing an independent reading, discussing, and sharing their understanding about the text before paraphrasing. It assisted them to have better comprehension of the text to be paraphrased. In addition, during the implementation of composing stage in guided practice, the students’ paraphrased works indicated that the students were able to create sentences in different structures—active or passive constructions, use the synonyms, and retain the original meaning. These three skills helped them reduce the similiarity of their paraphrased works from the original version. This study recommends that RRLC strategy be implemented in teaching paraphrasing at college or lower level with some adjustments to meet the students’ basic English skill.

The reading index in Indonesia is still relatively low, so many students are victims of fake news that develops on social media. In addition, students have not been able to utilize digital technology as digital literacy to the fullest, so it has implications for the weakness of knowledge about civic literacy. The research design used is a literature review and the type of qualitative research. The research method is literature, while the data collection technique uses document studies and the data analysis used is content analysis. Civic literacy has an important role in facing the era of society 5.0, with the ability of civic literacy, really helps students to participate in realizing the harmony of the life of the nation and state. Society 5.0 has a formidable challenge for higher education if each lecturer does not equip students with civic literacy skills. Strategies to strengthen civic literacy through digital literacy can be carried out effectively, by implementing varied learning methods and using digital-based learning media. Through this, students will be interested in learning, considering that students are a digital native generation who cannot be separated from digital technology. Strengthening civic literacy is very effective by utilizing digital literacy so that every student can adapt to the times, especially society in the 5.0 era.

Primary school students rely heavily on textbooks for instruction. Using the variety of textbooks, a description of the theme textbooks’ linguistic quality is conspicuously absent, particularly for students in the fifth grade. Language fit for students’ growth, communicative language, and coherence and cohesiveness were all included in this study’s analysis of textbooks’ language quality. Qualitative content analysis was used in this study's methodology. All texts from the heat and transfer-themed of fifth-grade textbooks published by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, Yudhistira, and Erlangga publishers were included in the study. Documentation was utilized to collect the data. Sample, record, reduce, infer, and narrate were all data analysis approaches used. The findings of this research indicated that the three publishers’ textbooks had excellent language quality in terms of language compatibility for students’ growth and the communicative language issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture and Erlangga was wonderful, but Yudhistira was awful. There were a lot of solid points made in the Ministry of Education and Culture’s publications. Both Yudhistira and Erlangga performed admirably. The quality of textbook language was found to be satisfactory in this study.

This study analyzes Indonesian and Malaysian universities in order to evaluate the reality of higher education in both countries, uncover the dynamics and causes influencing higher education, and disclose the similarities and contrasts between the Indonesian and Malaysian systems. Birdy's comparative descriptive method was used. This research relies on trustworthy global rating websites, statistics from the Indonesian and Malaysian Ministries of Higher Education, high-quality publications, and authoritative news. Indonesian higher education is largely entirely supported by the government and tuition fees at private universities. Due to a lack of collaboration between universities and industry groups, Indonesian higher education lacks a connection between scientific research, technical education, and the job market. Unlike Malaysia, it stresses scientific research, community service, and labor market demands. The researchers hypothesized the following processes based on the comparator countries: Adopting a productive university focused on output application via instruction and advice. Community-government and private-sector connections using research to enhance firm products collaboration with a firm or group to provide services that benefit them in exchange for participation in higher education goals, payment of expenditures, and use of outcomes. Through cooperative education, businesses and institutions may train and prepare university students for the job market.

This study aims to identify: i) The effect of teacher welfare, self-sustaining development, job satisfaction, and teacher performance on the teaching professional attitude; ii) The effect of teacher welfare on self-development, job satisfaction, and teacher performance; iii) The effect of self-sustaining development on the professional attitude, welfare, job satisfaction, and teacher performance of teachers; and iv) The effect of teacher job satisfaction on teaching performance. This study was quantitative research with a correlational type. The sample was 155 vocational high school teachers in Central Java, Indonesia. Data was collected through a questionnaire technique. The data analysis technique used structural equation modeling with the linear structural relationship type. The study revealed that the teacher's professional attitude has an effect on teacher welfare but not on self-development, job satisfaction, or teacher performance. Teacher welfare has an effect on independent development but has no effect on teacher performance. Hence, independent development does not affect job satisfaction but affects teacher performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction has no effect on teacher performance. These findings can be used as study material for future researchers to analyze the research variables or other variables, such as leadership style, work motivation, work discipline, and others.

Children in the digital era are exposed to the advancement of information technology and multimedia that might bring both positive and negative influence toward their development. During early childhood, children are using mostly their senses to explore the world around them, including learning some values from the story books exposed to them. However, parents or family do not give optimal support in the children’s learning process. Therefore, it is a challenge for English language teaching (ELT) pre-service teachers in implementing a digital storytelling to engage the children with the learning material and creative ways to optimally utilize technology, but at the same time give a comprehensive support for children to improve their English skills as well as the embedded values within the stories. The present study aims to reveal the opportunities and challenges in fostering a child’s reading interest through digital storytelling. All the details were recorded through observations, responses from the children while they were watching the digital story, and a daily journal written by ELT pre service teacher. From the result, it was found that through their interactions with the stories, children were exposed by the values embedded, furthermore, their reading interest is developing where more optimal support from the parents or caregivers is urgently needed.

This study aims to describe the use of technology in learning for students with special needs during the transition period after the COVID-19 pandemic to the new normal. This study is descriptive research with a survey method. The survey was conducted with 41 special education teachers with variety of special needs students. Data is collected using Google Form questionnaires. Data analysis is carried out by calculating the frequency and is presented as percentages. Participants in this study were chosen randomly for data variation. The presentation of data is carried out qualitatively based on the respondents’ answers to the questions asked. The study participants argued that hybrid learning was feasible, even though it was recognized as encountering obstacles. Based on the results of a survey conducted by special education teachers at special education school (SLB), for hybrid learning, digital platforms are used to support online learning. The platforms used are WhatsApp and video conferencing, such as Google Meet. Integrating technology is considered important for teachers to support the learning process. Conscious and planned efforts and teacher motivation are critical to increasing their experience and skills in utilizing technology in learning.

The urban development of learning is a key goal of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). However, the drive to achieve urban learning requires several key points. Citizenship and cooperation are associated with developing the city of learning. This research studies the relationship between citizenship and cooperation in driving the learning city. The study uses the methodology of the structure-equation model (SEM) to study citizenship relationships. Cooperation and learning cities are based on civic data analysis of 500 samples. The result showed that the two observed variables were public participation and The four observed variables are: policy collaboration's positive effect on cooperation; citizen-subjectivity, citizen-intersubjectivity, citizen-sub politics, and citizen-globality's positive effect on citizenship; Furthermore, the six observed variables are: inclusive learning in the education system; revitalized learning in families and communities; effective learning for and in the workplace; expanded use of modern learning technologies; improved learning quality; and a vibrant culture of lifelong learning. In part of the regression between latent variables, we found that cooperation has a positive effect on learning cities (b=0.882), and citizenship has a positive effect on learning cities (b=0.056) and cooperation (b=0.217).

Currently, we are facing the rapid development of information and communication technology (ICT) that characterizes the 21st century. Challenges, problems, life, and careers in the 21st century can be successfully faced if we master the 21st century skills. However, nowadays it is still very rare to develop a 21st century skill measurement model, so it is necessary to develop test instruments to measure 21st century skills. The development of test instruments to measure 21st century skills in Indonesia is still very open by paying attention to the clarity of the instrument in describing real phenomena and complete data as material for problem solving. Based on the description above, the researchers developed a multiple-choice test based on experimental activities to measure students’ 21st century skills which are creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication (4Cs) in heat and heat transfer using research and development (R&D) methods with the analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate (ADDIE) stage. Development begins with conducting literature and field studies, designing and making videos of experiment activities, compiling open-ended questions, distributing them to 12th graders of science, analyzing answers based on references, developing answer options, developing multiple choice tests, conducting validation by experts, and testing limited to students. The product of this research is expected to be used by educators and students for independent learning activities or as an example to develop multiple choice tests based on experimental activities to measure 21st century skills in other physics materials and other subjects.

In a 21st century classroom, project-based learning (PBL) can be the key strategy in helping students become independent learners and thinkers. PBL provides a pedagogical approach that is appealing and can be used not only in the subject of history but also across different disciplines. This study examines the impact of project-based learning on students’ understandings of Upper Secondary Brunei history lessons. Data was collected from a Year 10 Upper Secondary history classroom in one secondary school in Brunei through an action research method. The instruments used were lesson observations, semi-structured interviews and pre- and post-tests. The interview was conducted with eight students while classroom teaching of the subject teacher was observed. The pre- and post-tests were given to students before and after the intervention of PBL. The findings in this study showed that the students were still underperforming after the PBL intervention but had shown potential for further improvements with more exposure to project-based learning.

The purpose of this study was to find the differences and relationships between student responses, student character, and student attitudes towards the inquiry learning model for physics subjects. The contribution given in this study is useful if the student's response to learning is not good then there are problems in the learning taught by the teacher so that the teacher can improve better teaching techniques. This study uses mixed research methods designed with an explanatory design which is a combination of two methods, namely quantitative and qualitative research methods. The results of the t-test and correlation test of student variables, student character, and student responses can be said to be good but need to be improved optimally so that these variables are beneficial to students. The conclusion of this study is that there is a comparison and influence between students, student characters, and student responses at State Senior High School (SMA) 10 Jambi City on the inquiry learning model in physics subjects. The implication of this research is very important, namely the short-term impact of this research is useful and can be used as a benchmark to improve the quality of student responses, student character, and student attitudes, especially at the high school level.

Occupational stress has been the subject of numerous research studies conducted across the globe due to its impact on our daily life. For instance, it can have a negative impact on teachers’ psychological and normal functioning of the body at all levels as well as their performance. It can even impact adversely on their marriage and social lives as well. This study explored the relationships between occupational stress and marital contentment in the COVID-19 era. The current COVID-19 pandemic, which shook the foundations of labour, industries, and economies worldwide, has exacerbated the crisis of occupational stress among many people, including teachers. The demises, national lockdowns, and general unpredictability caused by the virus have disrupted workflow and made marriages more stressful. As a consequence, this study was based on the numerous sources of occupational stress and the association between occupational stress and marital contentment. With a sample size of 100 out of 132 married tutors from selected Ghanaian colleges of education, the research used a correlational descriptive research approach. The findings revealed that during COVID-19 married tutors faced stressful situations as a result of their expertise and talents not being fully exploited at work. Occupational stress and marital contentment were also found to be somewhat positively related (r=.28). The study also found that there were no gender variations in occupational stress (P=.156) and marital contentment (P=.108) among married tutors.

The study aimed to reveal the effect of the infographic display style (fixed, animated, and interactive) on learning and retaining the vocabulary of the Noble Quran among third grade students. The study sample consisted of 112 male and female third grade students and were distributed into three groups the students’ learning test was designed to learn the vocabulary of the Noble Quran according to the approved standards, and a quasi-experimental design was used. The results showed that all infographic patterns (fixed, animated, and interactive) have an impact on learning the vocabulary of the Noble Quran, but this effect is not equal between the patterns, the most influential is the interactive pattern, then the animated pattern, then the fixed pattern, and the results showed that the three patterns (fixed, animated, and interactive) had an impact on retaining learning the vocabulary of the Noble Quran, and that there were no differences between the three patterns in retaining learning the vocabulary of the noble Quran, and the study indicated to a set of recommendations, including encouraging teachers to employ multiple methods in teaching the vocabulary of the Noble Quran.

This mixed-method study explored whether school staff (teachers, principals, vice-principals, paraprofessionals, school counselors, and school social workers) experienced any challenges while working in a school setting during the COVID-19 pandemic. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected from an online survey instrument and follow-up semi-structured interviews. A total of 207 educational staff from 30 different states in the U.S. completed the online questionnaire, and ten volunteered to be interviewed. The results revealed the challenges educational school staff experienced during the COVID-19 Pandemic, March 2020-present. The major challenges faced by staff relative to students was poor attendance and student mental health. Personal challenges experienced by the staff included concerns about contacting COVID-19 and infecting family members. A thematic analysis of the data led to the identification of four main themes: i) Blurred lines between home and school; ii) Mental health challenges should guide educational reform; iii) Obstacles to learning; and iv) Lack of support from home. These findings serve to begin a larger conversation about the needs of students and school personnel during a global pandemic
