The present study is aimed at finding out the social adjustment of learning disabled students from elementary classes ( classes 6,7 and 8). A sample of 140 students was taken from rural and urban areas of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. It was hypothesised that there will be no significant difference between male and female students regarding their social adjustment. Results also proved that the male and female students from rural areas did not have a difference in their social adjustment but the students from urban areas showed a significant difference in their social adjustment .

The study was held to know the effect of home environment on student's personality in district Bhiwani (HARYANA). The study was conducted on a sample of 76 students of grade 12 studying in 5 schools in Bhiwani. For data collection three research instruments (A personality inventory developed by EYSENCK and Index of family relation constructed by Hudson (1982)and a demographic variable information Proforma) were used. Ten null hypotheses were tested to find out the effect of home environment, socio economic status, family relations, birth order and family type on student's personality. Data was analyzed by using (ANOVA –one way) and t test. It is found that there was a significant effect of home environment, socioeconomic status, birth order, family type and family relations was found on the extroversion factor as well as neuroticism factor of student’s personality

Front flip (forward tuck somersault) is one of the fundamental skills taught in the early stage in the competitive Gymnastics career of a Gymnast. The purpose of this study was to investigate kinematic comparison of two different techniques (Russian technique V/s Japanese techniques) of front flip tuck on floor in men’s artistic gymnastics. A total of five (n = 5) best male gymnasts of 18 to 23 years old from L.N.I.P.E., Gwalior (M.P.); who had mastery on both the techniques were selected for the present study as subjects. To acquire kinematical data, a digital Nikon D-3100 video recording camera with a frame rate of 30 frames per second, were used during the execution by placing it left side of the subjects(gymnasts) and perpendicular to the sagittal plane. From the video, the photograph of selected three phases (i.e. take off phase, flight phase and landing phase) were obtained by using snipping tool software. The digitization of the photographic sequence of selected phases was done with the help of kinovea software and the selected angular kinematic variables were obtained at take off phase, flight phase and landing phase. The centre of gravity of required phases was located by using segmentation method (Hey, 1993). The paired t-test was used for the kinematic comparison of both the techniques of front flip tuck at each phase. The level of significance

Air pollution-smoke and other airborne particles-has accompanied the growth of industrialization since its early days. However, in the last two decades overwhelming evidence has begun to accumulate that polluted air is a serious threat to the quality of life, even to man's continued existence itself; projections of economic growth and population expansion to the year 2000 pose the threat of a vast increase in the already high level of air pollution unless effective measures are taken to control it. It is in recognition of both the present and potential costs to society that increased importance has been given to the devising of means to detect, control and abate air pollution. It is also becoming clear that because of the damage to life and property, expenditures on air pollution control and abatement are as essential to society, if not to individual polluters, as investment in education, urban renewal, and other investment in social capital.The present study was aims to investigate the concept of environmental awareness in air pollution of under graduate college students of Purulia District. Concept and attitude of environment awareness in air pollution measure by questionnaire was used to assess their environment awareness. The data were analyzed with the help of statistical techniques like mean, Standard deviation and t-value. The result of Analysis shows that, there exists significant difference in air pollution awareness among college student. Science students are more aware than commerce and arts students in air

It is obvious that in the world scenario the teacher education had varied beginnings as to their thinking and imagination. Its development has been promoted according to their sociocultural and political set ups. Teacher education in every country is neglected due to ignorance. There are several pitfalls in this field. In spite of all these, it is true that teacher education in India is progressing as compare to other countries in the world. But it is said that “If we educate a boy, we educate one individual, if we educate one girl, we educate the whole family and if we educate one teacher, we educate the whole community.’’ It is said that, teacher is a ‘friend, philosopher and guide’ or ‘facilitator and manager’. If we introspect ourselves some questions raise: Does the teacher education institution provide this opportunity? Do we want really some changes in teacher education? Are we happy with present conditions of teacher education? Do we think about it? If yes, then how much time we think! Do we take accountability in our work? Do we have sincerity? Is there any synchronization of our words and deeds? Is there any hidden agenda? Do we look transparency in work? Do we love our profession? Are we open to every situation? Do we have excellence in our life? Do we have a good work culture? Do we have a positive attitude? Do we enjoy our profession? Certainly, the answer is No. Then, how do we want Excellency in teacher education! Opening more teacher education institutions for the sake of accessibility only will not sufficient. Along with this development of quality administration, quality management, quality curriculum, quality faculty, quality environment etc. are needed. What education should try to provide is
