The Neurolemmoma (Schwannoma) is a rather common tumour accepted by most investigators today to be derived from Schwann cells. Neurites are not a component of the tumour as in the neurofibroma but may be found on the surface of tumour. Tissue culture studies suggest the Schwann cells as the site of origin. A case of schwannoma on left side of face in a 23 yrs old female patient has been reported.

Retained deciduous tooth is a common finding which may affects the path and position of erupting permanent tooth. But multiple retained deciduous teeth along with permanent teeth in non-syndromic, non-hereditary, asymptomatic patient with balanced hormonal level are a rare finding that has rarely been reported in literature. We are reporting a case of 19 years old female with multiple retained deciduous teeth along with permanent dentition and impacted canine in both the arches.

The correct choice of treatment for any patient depends on a thorough History , Examination, and on making correct Diagnosis and Prognosis.While planning a Fixed partial denture, many factors are taken into consideration.Special consideration is given to position and periodontal condition of abutment teeth.Generally when one or two teeth are missing and if the abutments areperiodontallysound, then Fixed-Fixed type of bridge in which rigid connectors are planned. When any one of the abutments areperiodontally weak then ,Fixed-movable type of bridge in which non-rigid connectors are planned.Rigid connectors are avoided, because it causes tipping or lateral movement of theperiodontally weak abutment and Pier abutment , as it acts as a fulcrum.This case report presents a clinical situation, where one of the abutment isperiodontally weak, in Maxillary arch and hence a non-rigid connector in the form of Extra-coronal attachment is planned.

Dentigerous cyst is the most common developmental odontogenic cyst. Mainly two treatment modalities are there, enucleation or marsupialization. Treatment plan depends on the extent of the cyst, age of the patient, usefulness of involved tooth and the available space for its future eruption. Here is a series of three cases of dentigerous cyst treated in our department

In the oral cavity, gingiva is a common site for neoplastic and non-neoplastic lesion1. Neoplasm can be defined as progressive autonomous growth of the unwanted tissue that can be either a benign or a malignant lesion2. There are two types of ossifying fibromas have been found, first one is the central type and second is the peripheral type (Peripheral ossifying fibroma: POF)3. Shamim et al. reported that POF was most frequentbenign neoplasm (45.4%) seen in the gingival biopsies in the South Indian population4. The POF however does not depict the extra-osseous/soft tissue counterpart of the central ossifying fibroma, which is a true neoplasm, as the latter develops from the endosteum and may cause expansion of the medullary cavity3. The peripheral ossifying fibroma (POF) is a benign tumor that represented as an exophytic, smooth-surfaced, reddish to pink in color, nodular mass, sessile, or is less frequently seen on a pedicle.POF occurs only on the soft tissues covering the tooth-bearing areas of the jaws. It is usually grow as solitary in nature thought to arise from the periodontal ligament, rarelycan be multicentric5. Multicentric variants mostly have been reported in association with conditions such asGardener’s syndrome, neurofibromatosis, nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome and multiple endocrine neoplasia type II6.

Fibrous dysplasia is a developmental benign bone lesion characterised by the replacement of normal bone by excessive proliferation of cellular fibrous connective tissue intermixed with irregular bony trabeculae. Fibrous dysplasia of the jaw are believed to be benign, self-limiting, nonencapsulated mainly occurring in young subjects. Although, jaw lesions of fibrous dysplasias are usually monostotic, they may occasionally be part of a polyostotic process. Monostotic fibrous dysplasia of the maxilla is the most common site of involvement in the facial bones and accounts for approximately 70% of those with facial involvement. We report, a case with a slow growing swelling in relation to right and left side of face.
