Introduction: The objective of this article is to assess the significance of Efraín Loyola's interpretive work within the charanga orchestra. Methods: It is a prescriptive, descriptive analysis based on John Rink's model. This theory encompasses the formal and conceptual analysis of music itself and the interpretative contributions of the performer's subjectivity. Results: It is noticeable the use of positions not contemplated in the traditional methods of flute teaching to obtain homonymous sounds in the different registers. The preference of the wooden flute with five keys on the system flute stands out, giving the interpretation a more accentuated and less strident sound. This makes Efraín Loyola's interpretative work stylistically recognizable as it possesses a personal and distinctive expressiveness. Conclusions: The contribution of Efraín Loyola, first as part in the Aragón orchestra and the later brass bands founded by him, ranges from the particular choice of the instrument, to new positions for its execution, not contemplated for the flute in the traditional teaching methods or in the studies consulted.

Introduction: The present work focuses on the analysis of the correspondence of Enrique Loynaz del Cartillo and Dulce María Loynaz Muñoz found in the letters to José Manuel Carbonell y Rivero. Methods: The analysis is quantitative and includes content analysis and bibliographic documentation as methods. They rely on the inductive-deductive and historical-logical principles to provide textual and extratextual data of interest when reading the letters. Results: The presence of the Carbonell Library in the Francisco de Paula Coronado Bibliographic Fund is discussed and the relevance that Cuban epistolary has had in the establishment of our memory and identity is reviewed, to then analyze topics of a political and cultural nature in the letters. Conclusions: The article points to the change in cultural sensitivity noted in Cuban letters in the transition from the 19.th to the 20.th centuries and highlights the political-intellectual role of Enrique Loynaz during the 1930s. This and other publications look forward to enhance the significance of Carbonell's funds which have been poorly served so far.

ntroduction: The definition of the public, although it corresponds to the field of political philosophy has a direct incidence on the conceptualization and implementation of public policies. Critically explore the basis of its conceptualization in Western thinking will help us assume a constructive-creative posture in relation to the design, implementation and evaluation of public policies in Cuba. Methods: Critics to the association of the public sphere with the state, or with what is communal, critics to the definition of the what is communal as separated from the nature, and critics to the opposition between state and civil society, will be presented in this work, since they have direct impact in the formulation and implementation of the public policies for the development of our society. Results: The article serves as a reference for other countries in which both the government and some civil society organizations wish to detach themselves from the dictatorship of the American model of doing political science, since it comes from centers linked to the status quo proposed by the United States of America. Conclusions: The proposal of a liberal bourgeois thought regarding the public sphere imbricates whith the way of making political science in United States, producing inaccurate and lightly founded conceptualizations about the state, civil society, the public and prívate, among others which had been directly and indirectly influencing studies and political decisions have been or are currently carried out in our area.

Introduction: The exercise of journalism in the digital space takes prominence at present so this article aims to: Propose a strategy to raise the quality of hypermedia journalism performed by graduates of the Journalism career of the Universidad Central «Marta Abreu» de Las Villas.Methods: To obtain the results were applied methods such as grounded theory and phenomenology. Results: Changes are designed in three fundamental areas: professional training, media and postgraduate training that contribute to raising the level of graduates. Conclusions: The importance of increasing the quality of hypermedia journalism in graduates leads to an interdisciplinary approach and actions.

Introducción: The social function of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), distinguishes the essence of the organization, in correspondence with the demands of the VIII Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) to consolidate a prosperous and sustainable socialism from the community. The research, which is the result of a doctoral thesis, aims to examine the historical scope and his main contributions in Cuba, from the revolutionary thought of Fidel Castro. Methods: The dialectical-materialist, analysis-synthesis, historical and logical methods were use, the main results being found in the study of the historical foundations of the cederist social function and its materialization in the community practice. Results: The results show, based on the work tendencies, the role it plays and the way it relates to other factors of its social space, as well as the relationship with society as a whole. From the theoretical analysis, the CDRs are enriched from the recognition and identification of the essential periods, where the main institutional, normative, ideological changes, political relations of the country and their influence on the way of participation of the people as a massive subject of power take place. Conclusions: In the analysis of the tendencies of the CDR work systems the social function expresses the interdependence relations of the elements that compose the society. In the study of the historical stages, it is considered that the CDR strengthen their participation from experiences of work in the community, which is developed with a perspective of improvement, from articulating and harmonizing the presence of the people in the projection and execution of community strategies to satisfy the material and spiritual needs of Cuban society.
