The article focuses on mapping the past and contemporary discourse on corporate social responsibility in its various theoretical and practical levels. It reflects the characteristic features of individual-ethical and institutional-ethical paradigm, which vary widely in their starting points, especially when it comes to the overall view of definition of the matter and the subjects of social responsibility. Within this context, the author briefly compares the stockholders theory with the stakeholders theory.

This article aims at identifying a nature of the current Russo-Ukrainian crisis. It argues that the crisis is not accidental and short term episode, but it is necessary and objective outcome displaying long term development trends in and/or of Europe after the end of bipolar conflict. Author backs his argument by comparing different integration dynamics in the Western and Eastern parts of Europe. The collapse of the communist block helped to deepen the integration process in the Western part of Europe and it also pushed the EU to be more engaged in its neighbourhood through offering integration perspective to former communist countries as well as through offering European perspective to the Western Balkans. The Eastern Partnership with the Association Agreement, including Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, has become the EU response on Russia’s military intervention against Georgia in August 2008. The EU failed to establish a joint European project under the name of Common Spaces with Russia (2003-2006), therefore, confrontation between two integration projects in Europe - the one led by the EU and the other one by Russia - has to appear sooner or later.

Freedom of religion as a part of broader concept of freedom of conscience is one of the most precious rights held by a civilized men. First Amendment's Establishment Clause of the Constitution of the United States prevents government at least from establishing federal or state religions, discriminating, aiding or favoring one religion over the other and coercing individuals into religious participation. In 1983 the Supreme Court of the United States carved out an exception for opening state legislative session with a prayer. Based on a historical evidence the Court found that unless there is a an indication that the prayer has proselytizing, advancing or disparaging effect, Establishment Clause does not preclude this type of prayer. In 2014 was the same practice upheld on a local government level (town board meetings).

The study analyses a problematic status of the Greek Catholic Church in a political and ideological establishment of the Slovak Republic during 1939 – 1945, as well as the confrontional relationship of both subjects. Slovak Republic – as it is formulated in the Preamble to the Constitution – has identified itself with the (catholic) Christianity, i.e. the concept of National Socialism has originated at the background of a Christian worldview. This ideological construct has adored one (Slovak) nation to indoctrination of a society. Such construct has ultimately led to the discrimination of national minorities, in this case Ruthenian minority, which members has mostly identified with the Greek Catholic confession. In a regime with a close connection of the Catholic Church and the political system there were fluently applicated undemocratic practices which infringed upon internal affaires and operation of the Greek Catholic Church, primarily its educational system (Greek Catholic Seminary and Theological Academy) in the intention to weaken its internal structure and integrity.
