A Multivariate EWMA Control Chart for Skewed Populations using Weighted Variance Method

This article proposes Multivariate Exponential Weighted Moving Average control chart for skewed population using heuristic Weighted Variance (WV) method, obtained by decomposing the variance into the upper and lower segments according to the direction and degree of skewness. This method adjusts the variance-covariance matrix of quality characteristics. The proposed chart, called WV-MEWMA hereafter, reduces to standard multivariate Exponential Weighted Moving Average control chart (standard MEWMA) when the underlying distribution is symmetric. In-control and out-of-control ARLs of the proposed WV-MEWMA control chart are compared with those of the weighted standard deviation Exponential Weighted Moving Average (WSD-MEWMA) and (standard MEWMA) control charts for multivariate normal, lognormal and gamma distributions. In general, the simulation results show that the performance of the proposed WV-MEWMA chart is better than WSD-MEWMA and Standard MEWMA charts when the underlying distributions are skewed.

An Approach to Reassemble Forensics and Archaeological Image Fragments into Equivalent Original Image

Reassembling of Image fragment problems arises in many scientific field like archeology, forensics and many other. To solve such a problem of reassembling of image fragments by human intervention takes a lot time. And sometimes it might be costlier. To overcome this problem, we are working on a system which will automatically reassemble those image fragments to form original image. With the help of 2D image fragment and contour detection algorithms we can make an efficient use of this system. Reassembling technique is divided into four types. Initially content based image retrieval system is use to identify spatially adjacent fragment. The second step is dynamic programming technique to identify matching contour segment. Third step is to identify optimal transformation to align matching contour segment and last step is overall image reassembling. With the help of these algorithms an optimal transformation in contour can be detected. Doing automation in such work will certainly help in faster, more efficient and patiently reassembling this image fragments.

Effect of Reetha and Hinganbet on strength of Degummed and Dyed Silk

This study conducted on Effect of Reetha and Hinganbet on Strength of Degummed and Dyed Silk in this study reetha and hinganbet were used for degumming of silk sample. Three different concentrations 2, 4, and 8 grams on weight of fabric were determined. Degumming was carried out at 600C 1:50 M: L ratio and Degummingtime 30 and 45 min was maintained during the degumming process. Degummed samples were mordanted it was carried out at 900C, ML ratio 1:50 it was maintained during process.buteamonosperma flowers were used for dyeing degummed silk,and Ml ratio was kept 1:50 dyeing was carried out with 600C for 60 minutes. Tearing strength of degummed and dyed samples of reetha and hinganbet were determined by tearing strength tester. It was observed that when degumming was done with reetha powder less g/f was required to tear the fabric on warp wise as well as weftwise gain. except in the sample degummed with 2% reetha prior. For both 30 and 45 minutes slightly greater force was required to tear along the warp wise and weft wise grain. On the contrary all the samples degummed with hinganbet powder required force to tear along warp wise and weft wise grain.

A study biological control of Aspergillus flavus using Psudomonas fluorescens and Bacillus subtilis

Aspergillus flavus is a cosmopolitan fungus that uses to grow almost every type of environmental and nutritional conditions. It produces a group of toxins called aflatoxins. These aflatoxins are the primary cause of liver cancer and immunosuppressant in the peoples that consume the aflatoxins rich diet. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common cancers worldwide. The majority of the cases are in south East Asia and Africa. Prospective epidemiological studies have shown a multiplicative interaction between the hepatic virus B (HBV) and aflatoxins in term of HCC risk. In the present study we are trying to isolate microbes from the soil that can potentially be used for the biocontrol of Aspergillus flavus toxigenic strain. A microbial library was formed and each microbe was tested under various varied nutritional changes. We have taken soil samples from the various soil locations including the outer skirts of Himalaya river Yamuna, some garden soil and soil from extreme environmental conditions. Using serial dilution and agar plating methodes we tried to isolate the microbial flora present in the soil and these flora were tested against the A. flavus if that isolated microbe have some potential to control the A. flavus. That microbe is identified using the 16srRNA gene sequence analysis.

A series of rare earth complexes are being used for various medical uses particularly in the tumorology, immunoresonance transfer mechanisms, diagnosis of mutation and probing of Molecular interactions. Most of workers discussed the biodistributiion and dosimetry for therapy planning of specific tumors related to stomatostatin receptor. Chelating complexes of various lanthanide series interact with biological tissue matter differently and may show highly specific responses with respect to tissue atrophy, tissue modification, antihaemolytic and even prevention of intravenous blood clotting. Terbium chelates have been selectively used in sensitized emission immunoresonance energy transfer (SEIRET) method, which can detect the association of molecules of Duchenne muscular dystrophy gene. Europium (III) has been successfully used as typical biomarkers because of their selective uptake and binding. The exposure of fishes to low doses of La and Nd complexes provided significant information about the low hepatotoxicity of such complexes. Increased levels of SGPT are indicative of hepatitis, obstructive Jaundice, Metastatic carcinoma, hepatic cojestion and myocardial infarction. So that measurement of SGPT usually reflects liver status.

Cloud computing provides an economical and efficient solution for sharing group resource among cloud users. Privacy preservation and secure sharing of the data over un-trusted cloud is still a challenging issue, due to the frequent change of the membership. A secure multi owner data sharing technique is proposed for dynamic groups in the cloud. By using group signature and dynamic broadcast encryption techniques, any cloud user can anonymously share data with others. In this paper we will review various techniques which used for secure data sharing and privacy preservation with its pitfalls.
