Therefore, superior human resources are needed that are equipped with psychological capital and good performance. The research plans to determine the impact of psychological capital on employee performance through quality of work life. The object of this analysis is 110 respondents as the representative employee from PG Krebet Baru with purposive sampling. This research uses the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Model (SEM-PLS). Research has found that psychological capital affects positive employee performance and quality of work life. Then, the quality of work life acts as a partial mediation between psychological capital on employee performance.

Many scholars examined and immensely found significant causal relationship present between access to finance and firms’ productivity. However, limited studies and inconclusive generalizations are still pervasive regarding co-existing nexus between financial access in form of overdraft facilities offered by financial institutions toward productivity of manufacturing firms in the Philippines. In addition, cross-country differences related to business environment, income levels, size and depth of the financial system, financial frictions and legal constraints potentially exposing model estimations to simultaneity issues. Thus, this study extends the empirical examination of finance-led productivity growth assumptions and expands the application of econometric modelling through instrumental variable regression models using an enterprise survey conducted in 2015 by the World Bank among selected manufacturing firms in the Philippines. The main findings revealed the positive and significant impact of financial access through acquisition of overdraft facilities in enhancing manufacturing firms’ productivity proxied by real annual sales. Meanwhile, other firm-related factors such as R&D and capital intensities were also found to have significant influence on productivity of manufacturing firms. These results signal practical implications highlighting managers consideration in the inclusion of overdraft facilities as an alternative source of funding for their financing strategies alongside proper resource allocation and management of technology and capital structure, which will provide an avenue for firms to achieve the desired level of productivity growth. However, lack of empirical evidence was found regarding the significant contribution of financial access on productivity when proxied by measures of TFP.

This study aims to explore Cambodia’s e-commerce before and during the pandemic and provide recommendations as a way forward, by consulting with the government’s and international organizations' secondary data. It is found that e-commerce in Cambodia has just surged in the last few years mainly due to the diffusion of technology and mobile internet. This comes in tandem with the outbreak of the world pandemic when traveling has been restricted making online shopping a new experience. Thanks to the young population, vast internet use and private investments, they all contribute to the recent development. However, there are barriers that hampered the growth emanating from insufficient rules and regulations, the lack of consumers’ trust, and the low digital literacy rate. Therefore, it needs involvement from government bodies to promote digital competency, strengthen online security, and support innovation and start-up. Moreover, entrepreneurs should partake in this journey by registering their online business, forming associations, adopting the local language on online platforms and investing more in digital infrastructure.

Despite being an agrarian economy, Nigeria has been characterized by high food prices and inflation. This is against the expectation that in an economy where agricultural productivity is supposedly high, increased food abundance should exalt pressure on food prices, making it possible for food prices to decline, hence a decrease in inflation. To examine if agricultural productivity has any effect on food prices and if such effect transmits into inflation, time series data for Nigeria between 1981 and 2021 were used. The data were calibrated on a 3-variable structural vector autoregressive model (SVAR). Results indicated that the transmission of agricultural productivity to inflation in Nigeria is a long-run phenomenon. Increased agricultural productivity induces a positive change in food prices while an increase in food prices is accompanied by fall in inflation in the long run. The study recommends measures such as subsidization of agricultural inputs or legislation to keep input costs low so as to prevent the food prices increase that is likely to result from increased agricultural productivity due to increased production costs.
