The journal is issued for the purpose of solving the following tasks:
publication of scientific articles on military-technical policy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
publication of original scientific articles devoted to the problems of the military-technical branch;
displaying the results of research and development work;
the formation of the scientific component of the Institute's environment, the promotion of scientific schools and the main achievements of military-technical science;
organization of open scientific polemics, which provides for the improvement of the quality of dissertation research, the effectiveness of the examination of scientific works;
holding discussions on the current problems of the development of weapons and military equipment on the pages of the journal;
Identification of scientific potential for implementation of advanced scientific achievements in the development of Ukraine's defense capabilities;
publication of critical articles, bibliographic reviews and reviews;
ensuring publicity and openness in reflecting the scientific issues of research teams.
