Problem-based learning is an innovative model of learning in which student plays an active role in the process of finding knowledge through solving the problems he encounters. The goal of innovative teaching models where students have an active role in the learning process is the education of an active citizen, ready to respond to the needs and demands of the modern era. Problem-based learning as an innovative model learning influences the development of students’ ability to perceive the problem, offer possible solutions and choose the solution that suits the situation in the given situation. This principle of work and learning is found in modern work and everyday life. The ability to solve real problems is one of the imperatives of modern times. This ability requires a range of skills that are not sufficiently represented in traditional learning activities, such as the ability to generalize, creative thinking and solve problems in a real environment. In this paper, our intention was to show the connection, the way in which the experience, knowledge and skills of students gained through the realization of Problem-based learning can be applied to a large extent in everyday life and work in solving real problems.

The paper presents research focused on the role of Prof. Nikola Potkonjak, PhD, in the creation and affirmation of pedagogy as a scientific discipline particularly highlighting the development of pedagogical methodology. The research objectives aim at conducting several analyses, first being the analysis of Prof. Nikola Potkonjak’s biography, then the analysis of the development of pedagogy in Yugoslavia influenced by Nikola Potkonjak, and finally the analysis and development of pedagogical methodology in Yugoslavia influenced by Nikola Potkonjak. Theoretical analysis is the method used in the research along with the technique based on content analysis. The author tried to make a contribution to understanding of the scientific and professional activities in the development of pedagogy and pedagogical methodology influenced by Nikola Potkonjak. Additionally, the paper particularly analyses the beginnings of pedagogy, education and methodology of this prominent pedagogue and academician. The greatest contribution to the paper is the analysis of his views on the development of pedagogical methodology as well as his impact on the work and performance of later generations of educators in both socialist Yugoslavia and Serbia.

In this paper, the Bosnian language is at the center of the problems of relation of language and nation, standard language and dialect, the relation between dialect speakers and their nationality; the positioning of the Bosnian language towards the European Union is also considered. On the one hand, in this context, Bosnian is a language that (officially) remains outside the borders of the EU, but at the same time, due to the different migrations, Bosnian language undoubtedly participates in European language everyday life. Although it is possible to detect the various controversies of the Bosnian language nomination and the non-positive relation to the Bosnian language and its speakers, the example of the Bosnian and elements of the Bosnian dialects in Slavonski Brod, a city on the border of the European Union, and the area does not support the articulated generally accepted opinion. Thus, Bosnian linguistics elements in the idioms at the EU border is positively evaluated. As the research shows, the attitude in the Slavonski Brodarea to Bosnian language elements is positive (or at least non-negative).

The reception of the ballad “Hasanaginica” in German and Italian culture starts with Fortis’s discovery and translation of the ballad into the Italian language, which he publishes in his work Viaggio in Dalmazia”/ “The Way to Dalmatia” in 1774. Consequently, European readers had been given an opportunity to get acquainted with the Bosnian culture, especially that formed during the Ottoman Empire in Bosnia, when the ballad was created. Considering that Fortis along with the ballad, described the customs and mentality of the Morlaks, the people among whom he found this ballad, the European audience got acquainted with a forgotten and often stereotypically depicted South Slavic people. Although Fortis’s work was created during the period of Enlightenment, it already contained elements of pre-Romanticism, such as the originality, simplicity and humanity for which Fortis expressed a special sympathy while presenting the ballad. In the German-speaking countries, many intellectuals have been dealing with this ballad, but the most important for her reception in German culture was the famous Goethe, which was fascinated by the ballad not only because of its content and form, but also because of the fact that he could identify himself with Hasanaga, one of the protagonists of the ballad and because of his interest in the Islamic Orient and the psychological characterization of the woman. His translation into German is of great importance, since he managed to split the song into the strophes on the basis of composite ensembles, retaining the same rhythm that was present in the original version, although he did not know the language in which the ballad was created.

The paper presents media culture in the area of education as a dominant culture in the world whose careful study is necessary in order to understand social trends. Youth needs to be introduced to different types of mass media such as film, theatre, radio, television, print media, the Internet, and library. The main role of the media education is to enable students to use key media-related vocabulary. A media literate person will be able to recognize the true value of the media. The choice of teaching methods, aids, and resources depends on the aim of the lesson. Media education is part of first language education, as well as art education. Based on a case study, in this paper we tried to answer the following questions: 1. To what extent is media education present in the first language education? 2. Has the media education been neglected? 3. To what extent are students interested in media education ? The analysis was conducted by applying heuristic method of analysis, descriptive analysis, and theoretical analysis

The paper analyzes the legacy of the female protagonist in the novels Nečista krv by Borisav Stankovic, Petrijin venac by Dragoslav Mihailovic, and Ako dugo gledaš u ponor by Enes Halilovic. The author seeks to determine what are the common elements in the construction of the character of the protagonist in all three novels, that is, what functional and symbolic advantages are shown in this author’s decision. Also, by analyzing material that spans over a century, linked by the narrator’s main focus (the female protagonist), we will try to identify the connections these literary works have with the poetics of the epoch in which they originate, but also with the socio-political turmoil and shifts that are reflected in them.

During the Late Ancient times the main industry in the province of Dalmatia was agriculture. The key reasons for dealing with this branch of economy were favorable climatic conditions and fertile soil, especially in the plains. The intensity of farming was not equally represented in all regions of the province of Dalmatia, as well as in the period before and after the fall of the Western Roman Empire. The general crisis of the Empire had a negative impact on farmers who, due to increasing insecurity, were massively leaving their estates and going to other, safer parts of the province of Dalmatia. That is why the imperial authorities were forced to introduce new legal norms to prevent them or at least somewhat mitigate their departure. Such circumstances led to the growing decline of the rustic villas and the creation of large landholdings owned by individuals. Starting from the second half of the 4thand during the 5thcentury, the decline of agriculture intensified.

This empirical research deals with the characteristics of teachers and the involvement of students learning process. The standardized instruments were used in the research: TF– teacher features and SIILP– student involvement in learning process. The research was done on a sample of 120 students of ninth grade of elementary schools. The aim of the research was to examine which teacher features influence student involvement in learning. The T-test of independent samples are compared to the results of the examination of students' involvement in learning process according to dominant teacher traits of authoritativeness–cooperativeness, normativity–focus on problem solving, and emotionally positive reactions–emotionally negative reactions. The results of the research showed that there was no significant difference between the total involvement of students in learning process on dominant characteristics of teachers like authoritativeness–cooperativeness, normativity–focus on problem solving and emotionally positive reactions–emotionally negative reactions. There was also no significant difference in the impact of teacher's dominant traits and in the success in student involvement in learning process. It was as well shown that there was no significant difference in the influence of dominant teacher traits like authoritativeness–cooperativeness, emotionally positive reactions–emotionally negative reactions and gender on student involvement in learning process. Only the common influence of the dominant traits of teachers normativity–orientation on problem solving and gender on the involvement of students in teaching was statistically significant. Also, the gender impact on student involvement in teaching was statistically significant as well.

The aim of this study was, through research of attitudes, to establish perception of loneliness and meaning of life of the elderly people who have the institutional and non-institutional support. The authors in the study started from the assumption that the attitudes of elderly people who have the institutional and non-institutional support does not have statistically significant difference in the perception of loneliness and meaning of life. The method of theoretical analysis and descriptive-analytic survey method was used from research methods. Short form UCLA Loneliness Scale (Allen and Oshagan, 1995) and the Purpose in Life test (Crumbaugh & Maholick, 1964) - adapted form of PIL test (Debats, 1996) were used from research instruments. The research sample consisted of 150 elderly people who use residential care as a form of support and 150 elderly people who live in their households and do not use the services of dormitory accommodation. The results of the research showed that elderly people living in their households show statistically significantly higher levels on a scale of loneliness than the elderly people who have institutional treatment. On the other hand, elderly people who have institutional social support show statistically greater values on the meaning of life scale than people living in their households. The variables sex and age were not statistically significantly associated with variables loneliness and meaning of life.

Financial health of nonprofit sector, as a third sector of each economy, is the least developed one. Since nonprofit organizations are registered at various country levels in Bosnia and Herzegovina, there is no one central register and it is very difficult to discuss about an organized nonprofit sector. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the sector’s financial distress by using financial ratios. The sample includes 215 nonprofit organizations registered with the Ministry of Justice of BiH, which submitted financial statements for 2015, 2016, and 2017. Current, quick, and days of cash on hand ratios were calculated and descriptive analysis was conducted. The results show that there was no significant development in size of organizations throughout the three-year period. They also show large variations between top and bottom 50 organizations through all ratio calculations, meaning that the country has both extremely developed and undeveloped examples. Bottom 50 organizations experienced progress, while top 50 experienced the opposite. Study also portrays distress by organizational size and shows variations in results through the three-year period.

The comparative studies of pronominal forms of address in German and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian (up to the 1990s Serbo-Croatian) have so far shown the complexity of this linguistic and social phenomenon (Rathmayr 1992; Betsch/Berger 2009; Schlund 2009). The focus of research in this comparative study lies on pronominal forms used to address patients in authentic medical encounters. In this study I consider and compare the forms of address in medical consultations as well as identify their pragmatic use by contrasting the Bosnian and German data. My research draws on interactional data consisting of 44 audiotaped and transcribed conversations between the Bosnian and German doctors and patients. The data was examined and compared by using a qualitative CA data analysis method. The Bosnian data showed that physicians use different forms to address their patients such as: T-pronoun, V-pronoun, and an alternating use of both pronouns to address the same patient within one single conversation (so-called switching). In the German doctor-patient encounters, the use of the T-pronoun or the alternating use of both forms of address was only observed in case of one physician. Unlike the German patients, the Bosnian patients are being addressed in a more informal way, and depending on the context, certain forms of address go beyond expressing politeness and distance. The comparison of data, based on natural institutional interaction, aims to highlight contemporary tendencies and interactive differences in the system of address of these two European languages.

The autobiographical novel East from the West discusses the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a nonsense in which a Serbian family experienced a fatal maelstrom. Mrkić’s anti-war perspective is focused on the destruction of the meaning of warfare in the capacity which literature encompasses which becomes the voice of ethics as a recognition between good and evil. The perspective from below, the view of the victim is affirmed, which is contrary to monumentalism, and also one of the fundamental features of the poetic testimony in the recent Bosnian-Herzegovinian literature. Regardless of the resistance to the perception of the war as a transhistorical realia, evil and crime are merely the universalities for the author, which encompass the entire history. One’s own misfortune is only a synecdochical point in an unbroken sequence of bloody traces of evil. Such an understanding is derived from Mrkić’s ethics that always starts from an individual who has a free will (If one is manipulated, it is not a justification, on the contrary!) and who is responsible for oneself.

We are witnessing that lately we can seldom hear, or are fortunate to read the verses which evoke the feelings that can only be aroused by good poetry. Pointing to the power of poetry that evokes intense feelings, many authors – from ancient philosophers and poets to present-day psycho- logists and literary critics – have pointed out to its ethical side. Based on the theories of catharsis, the paper questions ethics and the overall poetics of the poems of the Bosnian poet Ramiz Huremagić. Elaboration aims at proving the main hypothesis of work by which the ethical side of poetry can act as an invitation to critical reasoning, sometimes stronger and more convincing than factographic documents. Witnessing the trauma of the past, such poetry reflects hope in possible detraumatisation at the present, provided that we are aware and willing to accept it.

The aim of this paper is to question the relationship between power and new social realities, as well as new forms of domination that occur in democratic societies. The author starts from the assumption that power in modern liberal democracies is dispersed out of politics, leaving behind depoliticized space of politics through which the hegemonistic order achieves its domination. The paper does not aim to question the possibilities of overcoming such a domination. By analysing the relations between them it seeks to make visible the reverse of the dominant ideology and its functioning, as well as the possibilities of understanding and studying power in the era of post-politics and multiverse of power.

Chick-lit has been subjected to accusations that it is too “realistic“, that the women who write autobiographical works about homely matters such as motherhood, relationship issues and family problems forget the fundamental imperative of writing fiction, “making stuff up“. It is to be found on the great divide between two “literatures“, “good“ one which teaches and the “popular“ one which “sells real life“. Instead of innocence and naiveté of traditional heroines, chick-lit describes the tales of singles: young, emancipated women who live and work in big Western centres. The protagonists are openly questioning traditional forms of feminine behaviour promoted by romance novels, such as affection for cooking, laundry and cleaning, and, more importantly, reject the passivity of women in relationships, which can be visible in active search of protagonists for a man. Traditional border between the private and public sphere is particularly blurred, while the protagonists enjoy and participate in all the aspects of modern city life. The usage of first-person narration and deliberately naive form of realism encourages the readers and critics to substitute these fictional characters for real-life personas, to consider novels as autobiographical works, which lead to the phenomenon of Bridget Jones as the everywoman. The penultimate Bridget Jones novel, Mad about the Boy (2013), placed in the literary context of fictional women’s diaries, attempts to convince readers of its authenticity using various devices, such as self-depreciation, allowing the reader to feel superior to the protagonist and offering the reader a direct feed of Bridget’s consciousness.

Political identity always reflects one’s values. The overall rhetoric of a political actor aims at depicting a worldview that resonates with her/his voters. This paper focuses on the campaign for the 2018 General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Given its political structure with two entities, 14 parliaments, and a three-member presidency to mention a few of the complexities, Bosnia and Herzegovina greatly struggles with functionality. In an environment with three ethnic groups and their respective representatives, communicating group-specific values is paramount objective for politicians. This paper analyses speeches delivered at pre-election gatherings of political parties on the level of the entity of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aim is to analyze direct addresses to voters and subsequently shed light onto political messaging. Lakoff’s concept of frames will be utilized to get in-depth insight into the values, messages, and ideas political leaders in Bosnia and Herzegovina share with the public.

The aim of this paper is to probe the hedge word “generally” from the previous sentence, and establish which prefixes do change the class of their base and how productive they are. Thus, seven prefixes (a-, be-, de-, dis-, en-, non-, and un-) are described in terms of their origin, meaning, productivity and bases to which they can be attached.

The lexical level in the language is the level that offers the most abundant material for re- search. This paper deals with the analysis and presentation of semantic groups of orientalisms in Skender’s first short story „Night in the vizier town“ and their attributes, in context of aut- hor’s intention to represent cultural context and mentality of bosnian inhabitant. Orientalisms have remarkable stylistic potential in this short story and Kulenovic created an autentic verbal framework where he put the action and described character and events by using them. The paper primarily focused on the number of lexemas that have the symbols of spiritual and ma- terial culture, considering that the story shows events from the time of the Ottoman Empire, therefore this short story presents very good basis for our analysis.

The paper deals with the evident need for (re) construction of the sociology of work, which is facing the great challenges of the technological revolution and preparations for the Knowledge Society. Sociology of work as a special sociological discipline meets with new trends and sudden changes in the vortex of social transition. Therefore, it has real needs for upgrading and fundamental change in the focus of research, not so much in terms of substantially determining the nature of work as much as the forms and types of work. The Knowledge Society carries with it many new trends and social changes for which modern sociology of work must be ready. Sociology of work as the heir of industrial sociology in the onset of new social changes needs to date upgrading and adoption of new research experiences, both in methodological and in content terms. The modern knowledge society brings with it new occupations and new types of work and forms of work. Global social trends are not sufficiently represented and monitored in recent practice of research projects in the field of sociology of work in ex-yu territories.

Law and bioethics are important social phenomena. While Law, on the one hand, represents traditional social science, bioethics, on the other hand, is a relatively new scientific discipline. What characterizes both Law and Bioethics is a social practice that is considered and interdisciplinarity in the approach to the concepts, challenges and processes that social practice imposes. The paper seeks interdisciplinarity of Law and Bioethics and the importance of their mutual relationship fromfrom the perspective of Ronald Dworkin′s Philosophy of Law, one of the most important contemporary legal philosophers. The paper deals with the basic concepts, the significance and the comprehension of such an opinion on the understanding of law and bioethics, that is, the intersections in which they are inevitable.

This text will analyze the novels What is Not Yours is Not Yours (2018), by Alexander Hemon, Diary of a Nomad (2017) by Bekim Sejranović, and Me’med, Red Bandana and Snowflake (2017) by Semezdin Mehmedinović, as the latest literary achievements of Bosnian authors in exile. Starting from the assumption that each of the novels brings motifs of immigrant literature such as border identity, cultural nostalgia, nomadic status, protagonists who are social outsiders, we will examine their similarities and differences, but also changes within each author’s literary opus. Given the fact that these authors base their novels on real life events, and they combine facts and fiction, we will briefly focus on biographical facts and details from the interviews they’ve given on immigration and their position in the new homeland and the new language.

Sport is an extremely common activity that significantly influences all of society. A survey of available literature and studies conducted so far points to the existence of the phenomenon of fan violence, espe- cially in soccer. Given that there are no studies on violence from the perspective of Croatian athletes, this paper explores the relation between the frequency of experiencing physical violence and athletes’ attitudes on sports. 135 adult athletes, including men (n=74) and women (n=61), from individual and team sports from the city of Zagreb, participated in the research. The athletes have completed the ques- tionnaire voluntarily and anonymously. The results obtained in this research point to egalitarian attitudes in terms of athletes’ sex, for instance, the majority of the respondents did not agree with the attitude that “Men’s sports are more valuable than women’s sports”. The athletes agreed mostly with the attitude that “Pain, injuries and dangers are an integral part of sport, which athletes have to accept”. “Training and competing in spite of pain, injury or exhaustion” is a situation of physical violence that the respondents most often experience. The correlations obtained in the research ranged from light (r=-0,171) to real (r=0,518), negative and positive, and were mostly statistically significant. The research results indicate the importance of education on risk behaviours and attitudes for all those involved in sports activities from the very beginning in order to prevent long-term physical and psychological consequences.

The patriarchal system in society that values the role of men more than women’s has led to the discrimination and marginalization of many women throughout history. Croatian society, when compared to the more developed European countries, is slowly liberating pre-modern elements and partially retains traditional features. Family as the main organ of maintaining patriarchy is still high on the scale of the value in Croatian society. Therefore, the main aim of the research was to examine the position of women in a contemporary family on the example of the city of Split. The study involved eleven participants who are married or in a cohabitation, and the chosen research method is a semi-structured interview. Although the role of men and women over the time becomes more equal and redefinition of the role of a man in the family is noticed, behavioral changes are still slower than changes in attitudes. The results show that women are still primarily responsible for housekeeping and child care regardless of their participation in material income, which leads to their multiple distress. The frame of the participant’s value system is a mix of traditional and (post) modern values.

This research aims to explore student-teachers’ views on racism and racial nomenclature in order to uncover if they are equipped with the right knowledge to recognize discriminatory language, to explore their opinions on the appropriateness of racial nomenclature in children’s literature, and to probe their views on the existence of racial discrimination in Croatia. 28 undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in integrated university studies of Primary Education took part in the research. The starting point was an excerpt from Harriet Beecher Stowe’s Uncle Tom’s Cabin, which was followed up with a two-part questionnaire. The research findings illuminated that a substantial part of the participants show a lack of knowledge and possible biases with re- gards to their views on (in)appropriate nomenclature as well as a lack of awareness of racial discrimination in Croatia. On the other hand, the vast majority of participants believe children should know about the existence of racism and the social construct of race from an early age but seem conflicted about which racial nomenclature should be included.

In the drama Teferič, as a result of the use of the genre elements of burlesque and the ideological startingpoints of Marxist humanism, Derviš Sušić deconstructs the rooted epic-patriarchal stereotypes of thefate of power as a timeless repressive force that survives due to the subservient consciousness of the oppressed classes. At the same time, according to the Marxist odium towards the class foundations of feudal chivalry, the author demystifies the epic heroic identity, bringing an end to the deepisation of Bosniak hero Đerzelez (started by Andric), who has been deprived of all attributes of honor and morals in this drama.

In bosnian scientific research literature, the qualitative locative is described as the type of attribute that determines the administrative concept through its characteristics, properties. Its meaning is differentlyunderstood, so the term, qualitative locative, covers the prepositional case construction of diverse semantics. Since the qualitative locative constructions in bosnian language have not been studied, adescription of their semantic characteristics will be offered here, as well as the importance of studyingof the cases as a semantic category. This paper compares the relationship between the meaning and theuse of the qualitative locative of some authors and gives its semantic typology. There is also a reference to the relationship between meanings and the use of the terms the qualitative instrumental and qualitativeinstrumental characteristic details to which some locative constructions can be linked. The issue of th erelationship between these constructions is highlighted and the need to distinguish between qualitative and characteristic details is emphasized. There are various ways of how the quality interweaves with some other semantic categories. Locative quality is often expressed through characteristic details andexplanation, and then through quantity and some other semantic categories. It is shown that the qualitative locative in bosnian language is a system of different semantic types and subtypes. Certain terminological solutions are offered with the aim of establishing the difference between semantic typesand subtypes of quality locative.

Stress and burnout syndrome of education and rehabilitation experts have been identified as a significant problem, so the subject of this research is focused on analyzing the gender impact on the occurrence of burnout syndrome in education and rehabilitation experts. The aim of the research was to examine whether there are any differences in the degree of professional burden of education and rehabilitation professionals in relation to gender. The study covered 102 educational and rehabilitation professionals of both sexes, 31 (30.4%) male and 71 (69.6%) female sex. Two measurement questionnaires were used for the assessment: a general questionnaire and a Check List of Burden. The results of the research haves hown that gender does not affect the occurrence of professional burden of education and rehabilitation experts. The obtained results are not in line with the expected results because it was expect that female education and rehabilitation experts will have a higher level of professional burden. In the paper it was discusses about the results obtained, pointing to the limitation but also the advantages of this research.

Social skills determine the success of an individual’s functioning in different social contexts. People with developed social skills in a simple way establish interaction with others and assimilate themselves in a group. Such people also contribute to positive social-emotional atmosphere in the group that is good for achievement of cooperation. Cooperative relationships in school boost motivation in students and lead towards a group productivity and quality interpersonal relationships. This work presents the research results whose aim was to examine relationship between development of students’ social skills and quality of interaction that is achieved in a class. The research was conducted in six primary schools, in Tuzla. There were 506, fifth to eighth grade students in total, out of which 281 were boys and 225 were girls. To measure social skills, Social Skills Inventory (Riggio and Throckmorton 1986). The quality of interaction in classes was recorded with Bales interaction scheme for observing small groups which implied the method of observation. The interaction was observed in at least two lessons in each of 24 classes included in the research. The approach of Canonical Analysis of Covariance was used in the statistical data processing, and the indicators point out that there is connection between students’ nonverbal social skills and the quality of interaction in class, whereas there is no connection between students’ verbal social skills and the quality of interaction that they achieve in their class.

In this modern, international order, the power of individuals, groups and social individuals arises from the management of the process of timely identification, selection, shaping, storage and distribution of information, but there are insufficient articles that have covered this topic. If we observe the outcomes of journalistic activity through the historical context and media types, we can conclude that the theoretical concept of journalism has significantly transformed under the impact of the Internet and social media. Instead of ideological and persuasive narratives and the imposed, mediated communication, ordinary citizens get a chance to shape and influence social relations by self-promotion of their own ideas and programs. The “locus” of journalistic discourse gradually shifts from professional editorial offices and institutions to the anonymous individuals and groups, which indicates a change in standards in the global, public sphere. Media education which is based on the symbiosis of theory and practice emphasizes the notions of motivation, discourse, mission, orientation, contextualization, education and attention management. The goal of this paper is to emphasize not only the emergence of a new communication paradigm, but also the methodological and conceptual changes of both media theory and the journalistic discourse itself.

The paper represents a study of the process of radicalization as that of ideological socialization by whichpersonality is transformed from a normal to extra-normal one (Sprinzak) due to the use of violencewithout moral restraints (Schmid), especially in the case of suicidal terrorists. Since it is a very complex phenomenon, with numerous social, ideological, cultural and other causes, the paper is focused on onepossible model analyzed with respect to the referential (not all-inclusive but relevant) theoretical works,elaborated in the novel The Terrorist by John Updike which in itself, with its open ending, points tomany other possibilities, conceptualizations and categorizations. The goal of this paper is to inquire into,by critical reading as appropriate method, a literary-sociological construct which is here primarilydefined as a form of micro analysis of psycho-social structure of the personality of a potential suicidal terrorist. Starting from Sprinzak, Moghadam and other theorists, the radicalization process is interpreted asunfolding in phases, from the initial crisis of confidence till the final suicidal or/and homicidal actionwithin a respective environment. A somewhat similar format is implied in some of the aspects of theabove mentioned novel, an engaged literary work written with the intention to support literature’s hopeto serve wider culture (Batchelor). This “wider culture” is represented in an extremely critical way aswell as an in-depth analysis of the profile of a potential terrorist illustrating the theoretical assumptionsof the radicalization process. In this way the writer becomes an analyst as well giving his owncontribution to the psychological analysis of the phenomenon but with the remark that his work, whilemerging fiction, psycho-sociological and cultural studies, also becomes open for debate and all sorts ofdifferent interpretations.

The subject of this research the socio-pedagogical analysis of the research relation of the perception between family relationships and bullying in high school children. The goal was to determine is there a statistically relevant connection of the perception of family relationships and high school bullying. As a research method, a descriptive-analytical survey method was used, and surveying was used as aresearch technique. The Scale of perception of family relationships (Macuka 2004) and the questionnaire of bullying (Rimac et all. 2012). The research sample was a group of 300 students of first, second and third high school grades in the areaof the Zenica city and Kakanj municipality. There were 114 boys and 186 girls in the research sample. Research results have shown that the high school kids perceive expressive quality of emotionality oftheir mothers and fathers. Also, the research results pointed towards existence of expressive psychological control, an adequate parental supervision, or so called behaviour supervision as one ofthe best predictions of young delinquent behaviour.Furthermore, the results of research that the perception of family relationships is in a statistically relevant way connected with high school bullying, because adolescents that perceive their family relationships as quality relationships, are statistically much less victims and executors of high school bullying. Conclusion is, based on the research results, that we need to create and execute programs, in a socially pedagogical way, for supporting parents in developing quality family relationships, and for high school kids, which would help prevent high school bullying.

The global economic crisis, which also affected the Western Balkans countries since 2008, in the Republic of Serbia has resulted in an increase of unemployment, poverty and social exclusion rates. These changes caused the increase of social protection system users, especially those belonging to the group of materially vulnerable. The Center for Social Work represents the basic social service or institution of the social protection system in the Republic of Serbia, within which the benefits and social services are provided to vulnerable population. The overall aim of this research is to obtain deeper knowledge of factors that disrupt social workers to secure these rights in the centers for social work. In the descriptive part of the research, using qualitative analysis we examined the scientific, expert and evidence documents on the subject of the research. Analysis of documents content in the first part of the paper has indicated the discrepancy between the normative acts and the practice of the social service functioning. Exploratory part of the research included application of a specially constructed questionnaire addressed to the centers for social work in order to collect information on the material and non-material conditions of work of social workers. The questionnaire was answered by 75 social workers, the results of the survey pointed out the necessity of improving the position of professional workers in social protection in the Republic of Serbia with the aim of more effective and more efficient provision of social rights.

The paper analyses political Internet memes and a cartoon that employ devastating hurrican Irma, as an input space, through the prism of Conceptual Integration Theory. The memes and cartoon relate to current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States of America. For the purpose of comprehension of the humorous conceptual blends present in the memes/cartoons, the principles of Theory of Conceptual Integration and the main theories of humour are used as theoretical framework. In each blend, the input space of the hurricane Irma provides elements that can be put in relation with elements from the input spaces that trigger frames of politics and controversial political figures. Due to incongruity and through the backprojections the audience re-establishes, enriches and/or reinforces the background knowledge of one of the input spaces, i.e. input spaces of political situation in the USA and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Regardless of the country in which a meme/ cartoon was created, Bosnia and Herzegovina or the USA, there are similar cross-space mappings and each blend contains emergent structure in which a political figure is perceived as more destructive than the hurricane itself. Moreover, there is often a word play that influences the creation of the emergent structure in the blend and leads to powerful memes and cartoons which illustrate political situations in these countries. Despite being amusing, these particular memes and cartoon are good examples of how outwardly naïve, ludicrous creations carry deep symbolic meaning as they illustrate serious issues.

From the very beginning of its existence the media has represented an important part of people’s live sand media generated messages significantly affected the forming of attitudes and opinions of the public. No matter how advanced technology was, the media has always succeeded to find the way to the audience. In contemporary society, in the age of the Internet, finding that way is easier than ever. The Internet provided a possibility that various contents become available to everyone on the Earth, which is important from media aspect because state borders are removed and people can easily find out about events from any part of the world. In such conditions the public doesn’t need to wait or to rely on information sourced from a traditional media, so mass media communication gets completely new outlines. This concept of informing can be very useful for sure, but it can also be very dangerous. If we consider how popular social networks are, which represent some sort of virtual communities and which serve as an important platform to the media in online environment, although they can be observed as some sort of media themselves, possibilities for creating different trends are clear. Such platform can be abused, for instance, for attracting a huge number of readers. It can specifically be applied to countries of ex-Yugoslavia among which many questions have remained unsolved, so that creates a convenient base for a constant revitalization of conflicts. Considering not so distant war past between Serbia and Croatia, for a case study in this paper the reporting of Serbian and Croatian most popular online media about official visit of Serbian president Aleksandar Vučić to Croatia was chosen. The applied method was the quantitative-qualitative analysis of the content focused on media presentation of the other one through topic selection, titles, the way of reporting and visual representation.

This paper presents the results of a contrastive analysis of Serbian third person plural- impersonals and their English correspondents. Its aim is to define translational patterns and structures within which these forms occur. A total of 79 examples of Serbian third person plural- impersonals were registered in the corpus (Ivo Andrić’s novel Na Drini Ćuprija), and there were 78 structures representing their correspondents found in the English translation (Тhe Bridge on the Drina), since one structure had not been translated („Nа svа nastojanja dа је оdvrate оd toga”). It was discovered that Serbian third person plural- impersonals were transferred into three types of translational correspondents: 1. Active sentences (formulated as ‘Sthey + Vact’) with subjects in the form of personal pronoun ‘they’, (e.g. „Kratko su ga ispitivali“ > ‘They interrogated him curtly’) - TYPE 1; 2. Passive sentences (formulated as ‘Pt + Vbe-pass‘) with subjects in the form representing objectpatient in the original Serbian structure, (e.g. „…jer ih na skelu nisu primali...“ > ‘...for they were not allowed on the ferry... ‘.) - TYPE 2; 3. Forms of idiomatic translation (formulated as ‘Sidiom + Vact’, ‘Sinf + Vact‘, and ‘idiomatic translation’), which refer to changing the structure of an original Serbian sentence, (e.g „sa kojim su u kasabi često terali šegu“ > ‘ who was often the butt of the town’) - TYPE 3.

Information technologies increasingly pervade life, providing the ability to escape from the everyday life by creating virtual identity. The Internet has long ago gone beyond the limits of the communication medium, and thanks to the exponential development of computer technology has become a social space that meets two basic, existential needs, the need for interpersonal contact and the need for belonging to a community. Social networks, as the psychological space, have undoubtedly influenced the offline identities, everyday habits and behavior of people, holding out the possibility of users to show more perfect image of themselves. However, regardless of the technological development, the Internet as opposed to the physical world can not provide users sensory fullness, who are yet rushing towards it. There is no doubt there are indications that the cyber sphere influences the reduction of personal responsibility that cyberspace implies, and entails a series of psychological and behavioral effects. In this study, we have examined the effects of online identity on the offline identity, especially with regard to use of the Internet with change of behavior and user attitudes, with exceed communication barrier in interpersonal contacts, with reduction of tensions and level of self-confidence.

Postmodern historical novels, do not treat history in a conventional novelistic manner, they instead take the form of a historical novel with the purpose of ironically revisiting the past. The double coding that Linda Hutcheon distinguishes as one of the basic features of postmodernism is thus best seen in the process of historiographic metafiction, and in his novel Flaubert’s Parrot, Julian Barnes takes double coding to a form of perfection—the reader is compelled to constantly observe Flaubert as a real historical personality and as Barnes’ narrative construct. In his interweaving of history, literature and theory, Barnes explores and deconstructs the traditional notion of history and the reliability of knowledge of the past that traditional historiography supposedly renders objectively. In this paper we will examine all elements of historiographic metafiction and offer their detailed analysis.

Social sciences and humanities are experiencing the greatest challenges in the era of modern technologies – information and communication technologies. Information technologies (IT) have directly influenced the life and work of every individual. Personal computers have become an integral part of our knowledge and skills in our lives and work. In the second half of the twentieth century, and especially in the twenty first century, education, primarily higher education, has become of great importance both for the social development and for the development and social promotion of individuals. Professional competencies have become crucial for assuming professional roles. The question of the market feasibility of certain types of education is the new dimension of education which is imposed as a standard. As a consequence, the education of programmers, information technology experts, has imposed itself as a state strategy and a market priority. In such circumstances, social sciences and humanities are suppressed as unprofitable, and there arises an absurd question and problem – whether social sciences and humanities make sense and what they should be. In order to analyse this problem and to answer the question on the meaning of social sciences and humanities, one may start from several research questions. Research questions are: is it necessary to develop education exclusively as an information technology education; whether giving an absolute priority to IT education is the answer to the direction in which education is to be developed; whether social sciences and humanities have overcome the concept of education; should both social sciences and humanities be re-assembled so that they can fit into the concept of modern information technology?

Research into the use of conceptual metaphors in the language of science has had a long tradition since new concepts in science are born almost on a daily basis and there is a need to associate them with a linguistic sign that will introduce this concept into language use both inside and outside of the scientific community (Gentner and Jeziorski, 1993, Mičunović , 2012). The results of the research show that students successfully recognized conventionalized metaphorical expressions in the field of science, while tasks with visual input and extracting concepts in the original and target domains had slightly poorer results. The assumption is that those metaphorical expressions that have become part of the broader vocabulary of English are easier to identify precisely because of the ubiquitous scientific discourse that crosses the boundaries of a strictly academic community and mostly through various publicistic scientific and journalistic papers enters the general public discourse.

In this paper we follow the poetic development of poetry and prose of Mak Dizdar since 1937 till 1956 year. Since Dizdar made his canonical place in Bosniak and Bosnian-Herzegovinian literature with poetic collections (Kameni spavač, Okrutnosti kruga, ect.), a significant corpus of his prose and poetry work remained unexplored in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian literary periodicals and daily papers. The contribution of this work is reflected in the fact that in it, as far as we know, is the first literary-historical and poetic represents Dizdar’s prose and poetry from that period. This, in fact, testifies the other, almost unrecognized, literary identity of this great poet.

Understanding the intellectual history of the modern concept of education is incomplete if Plato’s perception of the paideia is excluded. Unified state education, a unique educational principle, a step-by-step educational process, the selection of citizens through education towards a certain profession are just some of the consequences which could be recognized even today. In terms of Ancient Greece, Plato can be called the reformer of traditional paideia. The role of the traditional paediatrician Plato is expressed through the ontological foundations of education, which also gives the rise to his social foundation. In order to bridge the gap between political power and philosophical knowledge, Plato postulates a common political and educational goal, which are united in a moral norm. The consequence of the decadence of education is also the consequence of the decadence of politics. According to this, education is born by all the burden of political as well as cultural life of the policy. Leaded by philosophical knowledge, it is a kind of constitution of the state, but also the only way to bridge the gap between human existence and its essence, realized in it and ,therefore, realized to the world of immortality. Therefore, the social context of education is impossible to fully understand if its ontological and logical foundation is excluded.

The basis for preparing for the crisis is the crisis communication plan. It must provide accurate emergency response. The aim of the crisis communication plan is to protect the reputation and image of the organization, and shape the perception of the public about the organization and its role in the crisis. The construction of a crisis communication plan is greatly facilitated by the use of reference models. Reference models are a good foundation to see the most common practice of the process of building a crisis communication plan in public relations services in organizations. Building a reference model is a set of processes and as such can be modeled as a series of activities. Building a communication plan is a predictable and routine set of activities. But, by definition, the crisis is an unpredictable and sudden event that seriously threatens its reputation with the organization, company, party, institution, person, and therefore crisis, cannot be considered predictable and routinely. In solving crisis situations other than predictable routine steps, there are also non-routinely difficult predictable activities requiring great flexibility and great knowledge, hence the ability to adapt to a situation, in a way that recognizes the need and responds to the demands of the task. This component of organization is very difficult to model with the existing BPMN notation, as it is designed to model repetitive, routine activities. For this reason, it is necessary to include notation for modeling individual cases that describe unpredictable, non-routine activities with a view to building a more detailed reference model. CMMN (Case Management Modeling Notation) of OMG Group allows the construction of such models (OMG,2017). In this paper, the reference model of the process of constructing a crisis communication plan is expanded with elements for describing unstructured and unpredictable activities. We use this CMMN notation which is intended to describe unstructured jobs and activities in organizations, where individual activities depend on the development of the situation and on certain decisions. The result is a more precise reference model of the process that more credibly describes the sequence of activity of building a crisis communication plan.

Academic staff is the most important resource of the university, and as such determines its success in meeting the traditionally defined mission: building and disseminating knowledge aimed at breeding, training and upbringing the most important resource of the society - people. For this reason, any unplanned voluntary departure from a university can be understood as a waste of intellectual capital that is not easy to compensate. Although each departure cannot necessarily be characterized as dysfunctional (certain departures are desirable, such as temporary departures in the function of mobility in the academic community, but also the departure of incompetent employees or those who do not want or cannot adapt to the organizational culture and climate of the university), can often be recognized as a symptom of the employee’s dissatisfaction that the organization often fails, intentionally or not, to identify. In addition to the obvious consequences of dysfunctional departures, from those directly perceptible and measurable (e.g. problems in organizing teaching and mentoring student work, costs associated with the process of finding adequate substitution, etc.) to less noticeable (e.g. reducing satisfaction with the workload of the remaining academic staff, greater exposure to stress caused by work, more negative organizational climate, etc.), research suggests that even thinking about possible leaving the current job can have significant effects on organizational effectiveness. An employee who is preoccupied with thinking about leaving the organization is more inclined to psychologically distance himself from the immediate social environment (working colleagues and associates), is less motivated, and less willing to effectively contribute to the operations of the organization he is working in. The aim of this paper is to draw attention to the possible contribution of perceived changes in the working conditions caused by the metamorphosis of the traditional model of the university into a corporate model, to academic staff thinking about leaving the job, and even academic careers. In this context, special attention will be paid to defining the role of the university management in maintaining (restoring) the climate of confidence as a prerequisite for the academic staff’s positive reception of any changes in the working conditions, a positive evaluation of work, and an optimistic consideration of the certainty of residency in the current job. The emphasis is on the academic staff’s trust in the perseverance of the academic community to protect the traditional values of the academy, its autonomy and dignity in the society. By maintaining a climate of trust, investing in the development and accumulation of the psychological capital of a university, and by building a positive psychological contract between the academic staff and the management, it is possible to create conditions for introducing change that will be perceived as meaningful and necessary, even when initially negatively connotated.

The new media situation restructured the audience’s habits, which in today’s modern communication are rarely called passive. The active audience with a new term “prosumer”, is a reflection of today’s media situation, dominated by communication platforms based on the world wide web and social media. This paper brings information about some current communication habits of young prosumers and future media workers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and compares them with the habits of their contemporaries in Austria. The paper attempts to give an answer to the question of how many young people in the advanced European democracies (such as Austria) and those who are trained for the work in the sphere of journalism or in the other media branch differ in some parameters from those who grew up in societies that are still characterized as societies currently in a state of democratic society transition (such as Bosnia and Herzegovina).The paper presents quantitative data on the dominant sources of information for 314 students of journalism and media sciences at the Institute of Media and Communication of the University of Vienna, their media-manipulation content skills, the affinity for commenting on media content, and the evaluation of the effects of civic journalism as well as trust in contents of the same. The identical parameters were studied at the Journalistic Departments of the three universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in which134 students participated. Just as the great themes in literature seamed to be exhausted or at least suppressed, at the beginning of the 21st century disceretly in the focus of Bosnian-Herzegovinian literature were introduced novels worldview pointed to the importance of the suppressed ethics of concern, solidarity and acceptance of the Other. They are novels by Bosnian-Herzegovinian writers who talk from the woman’s perspectives about suppressed problems, meaningful relationships, and not accepting the Others. Showing that recent line of female literature becomes more visible, it is also confirmed by rewards for the literary competitions that these authors have recieved, indicating the existence of a certain vision of institutional support. The subject of research in this paper are the novels by Bosnian writers that were awarded by the Foundation for Publishing Sarajevo over past three years: the novel „Life lines“ by Emina Žuna (in 2015.), „Reconstruction“ by Ljiljana Pirolić (in 2016.) and „The name day of St.Katerine Ricci“ by Nada Djerek (in 2017.) Instability, disorientation and the suppression of certain values connect these novels, though the poet’s sensitivities of writers are different, the themes are inconisistent, timely and spatially located in different dimensions, the way they talk about the positions of women in Bosnian society reveals the reliefs of chronotopically afficited and powerful self-reflection of reflected inner worlds. The themes of these novels have not been in the focus of the Bosnian female writing so for and are conditioned by social conjunctures and traditional legacies, represented from the perspective of gendered subject that focuses on the repressed sphere of domesticity and points to the importance of solidarity, care and respect for the Other and different. Using contemporary theoretical knowledge in the area of culture theory, gender and identity in the analysis of these novels, we have pointed out the ways and possibilities of different representations and interpretations of traditional female values such as solidarity and caring.

In this context, the author analyzed the capacity of the Balkan countries in achieving state stability, freedom of economy, competitiveness and quality of the business environment. Many literary theorists and historians of our time are increasingly exploring the historical circumstances under which literary works were created. Historicism in literary science is not only about the restoration of an earlier state of society, but rather an entirely new literary practice that involves linking literary and non-literary texts in one continuity. It is impossible to accept that literary works exist in a aesthetic vacuum that has nothing to do with the historical context in which they arose. So literary works are not an autonomous aesthetic sphere, neither do literary works exist separately from other forms of cultural creativity of a historical period. Literature not only adapts to the history and draws inspiration from it, but even adjusts it to itself because literary works can sway the facts, spread the ideology of various colors, oppose to the policies and ideals in a direct or indirect way. There is no unhistorical literary work. If nothing else, it has found, chronologically speaking, his place in history, so it is no surprise that Zdenko Lesic is satisfied by the fact that contemporary interpreters of literature failed to banish the “demons of chronology” when they tried to approach their target literature as a purely artistic category.

This paper presents a linguistic analysis of selected Turcizm which are frequent in the Macedonian language and in other Balkan languages, through the preview of phonetic adaptation to Macedonian language. Turkish had a great influence in the vocabulary of the Balkan languages, as well as the Macedonian language. Turcizm in the Macedonian language is represented by more than three thousand lexical loanwords (some of them already feel as archaisms or were not used). In that fund of words we call “Turcizm” is contained many words from Arabic and Persian origin. Turkish in these cases occurred as an intermediary in the transfer of these languages. Certain Turcizm found in our texts out from the early 16th century. They had entered the written language along with other lexical elements of our national language. The number of Turcizm in Macedonian language peaked in the 19th c., when in cities increases the frequency of Turkish language element mainly through trade and crafts. Turkish language for the Macedonian intelligence was language that enabled contact within the Ottoman Empire, and for the international communication. The establishment of the Macedonian literary language marked another stage in limiting the use of Turcizm. Of course, in addition to our language are used as row Turcizm completely adapted to the dictionary in the basic fund and fall into the neutral vocabulary. The purpose of the paper is to show the strong influence that has the Turkish language from centuries of synchronic plan in the Balkans, but also to give a comparative phonetic adaptation of preserved Turkish language loanwords in the Macedonian language. During the research will mostly not use methods excerption, systematization and elaboration, making the issue will approach the theoretical aspect, but also will capture the practical use of Turcizm in Macedonian language and their articulation. The spoken language will be the subject of work, precisely because of its importance to penetrating and survival of Turcizm as part of the Macedonian literary language. The largest number of Turcizm in the Macedonian language is entered through spoken language, is direct communication between members of the population who speaking the Macedonian language and those who used in Turkish language.

Postpartum depression is a bio-psycho-social phenomenon, of a still unclear etiology. This mood disorder is characterized by causeless sadness, thoughts on the absurdity of life, loss of interest in most activities, full dispersion, and we could add a feeling of helplessness. It is particularly significant that such symptomatology is present in contextually sensitive period for a woman in biological and sociological sense, the postpartum period. The psychological aspect of postpartum depression refers to a tangle of psychological and social variables which interact and form a reaction of postpartum woman. The primary objective of this research is to understand the relation between personal characteristics of postpartum woman and the level of depression. The sample consisted of 145 postpartum women, mean age 27 years. Most of the respondents have an average socioeconomic status, are of secondary education, have been married, and live with their partner or their partner’s extended family. The measurements of depression were conducted twice by the same screening instrument, the Edinburgh postpartum depression scale, where the first measurement was done in the last trimester of pregnancy, and the second measurement in the first trimester postpartum. In addition to the Edinburgh postpartum depression scale, socio-demographic questionnaire was also used. The results showed no statistically significant relationship between personal characteristics such as age, marital status, employment status, education level, and parity (p≥0,05). Significant correlations were found for the variables of the perception of the body after childbirth and psychological health of pregnant women (p≤0,05). Most of psychological researches are based on the identification of psychological correlates of depression. The extension of strict clinical criteria of depression in the postpartum period creates a more sensitive framework for understanding this complex mood disorder. Most of personal characteristics in this sample are not in significant correlation with the increase in postpartum depression, but rarely checked aspects such as perceived image of the body after childbirth, and almost constant indicator of post-partum depression and impaired mental health are at significant correlations. Psychologists in cooperation with experts from other fields can assist in this important aspect of physical self-knowledge, which in turn can reduce postpartum depression.

This paper deals with poetic features of Husein Basic’s poetry in the context of the literary aesthetics of high modernism, to which this versatile author contributed in a considerable extent thus making himself known within the South Slavic inter-literary community. Intercultural and intertextual dialogue with the native Slavic folklore-pagan tradition and its archetypal images are important in the whole of Basić’s work, and can be seen in motifs, style and genre. Bašić belonged to the circle of “poets of lyrical abstraction” and in his attempt to create a unique voice he formed his poetry by combining the authentic experience of avant-garde, post-realism and existentialism with the values of tradition and cultural roots. In his poetry he takes the theme of war to a universal level and does not overemphasize the Bosniak national identity and dedication to the nation. The linguistic-stylistic analysis of Basić’s poetic images has confirmed the existence of a unique harmony between visual and melodic features in his poetical expression.

The paper analyses celebrity culture in the former Yugoslavia (Ex YU) as well as public relations strategies and techniques that were used by the participants of its cultural scenery in their making and lifelong existence. The research deals with some of the famous singers, actors and sportsmans of the Ex YU celebrity scene, such as Lepa Brena, Severina, Nina Badrić, Edin Džeko, Zana Marjanović, Moamer Kasumović, Halid Beslić, Goran Milić, Saša Lošić, Zdravko Čolić, media that created and obliterated them, and journalists as the main drivers of processes in the celebrity world. The research is based on the analyses of in-depth interviews and case studies. The primary objective of the research is understanding the management of celebrity image and how it is being controlled by the public and the media. The premise of the study is Celebrity, popularity and the impact of individuals in any sphere of the modern world, and in particular, in the field of entertainment and celebrity culture, that is directly related to the publicity in the mass media. Publicity is only partially determined by the qualitative and creative elements, but largely produced, provoked and skillfully guided by the techniques and strategies of the public relations. Based on the pre-eminent classification of celebrities worldwide, the research studies the nature of this phenomenon and the regional, Ex YU, circumstances and links them with concepts, methods, models and tactics as applied to public relations. Stemming from key criteria such as quality in the field of work, ways of communicating with their audience, and the relationship of their image, the paper defines the types of regional (Ex YU) celebrities.

The paper discusses the causes and consequences of exit of the UK from the European Union, popularly called “Brexit” and whether that would change the position of English as the dominant language of the EU. Authors are also discussing whether the beginning of Brexit can be traced back further in the past, with a possible reality after 2016, when David Cameron, the Prime Minister of that time, being certain that it would not happen, agreed to hold a referendum on that question. However, the Prime Minister, the European Union and the entire world were taken by surprise when the majority of voting citizens opted for exit from the EU. The reasons for that are discussed in the paper. It is especially interesting whether, if it actually happens, the position of English will change, since it has been the “strongest” official language of the EU.

The existence of social conditions for practicing the rights and freedom of religion is not expressed by proclaiming the values, but by enabling them in practice. Research shows that social conditions for practicing the rights and freedom of religion, on numerous occasions, are expressed (only) by limiting the practice and freedom of religion of high school and university students. On the other hand, most managers of these public institutions find it easier to preserve the state of ignoring the practice of religion and leading it towards complete intimidation rather than enabling the students to practice religion freely. From the arguments stated above, we can conclude that the practice of religion in public institutions of the city of Tuzla is treated in a discriminating manner, in a discourse advocating on behalf of secularism as an ideology, even though the practice of the rights and freedom of religion does not represent a violation of a secular order. These restrictions are exercised through the ignoring of the practice of religion based on the collective lack of knowledge and preconceptions on the Code of Islam. These are also influenced by the collective ignorance on the rights and freedom of religion, the ignorance of practitioners of religion as well as those who ignore the needs of believers. This work shows specific problems and solutions for this issue, which were examined during research.

The paper presents the psychometric validation of the General Life Satisfaction Scale (GLSS/SOZŽ) on a sample of 450 respondents from BiH (60.22% females, 79.11% students), of the average age of 23.14 (SD=5.33) years. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the best fitting were two bi-factor models, which both had global satisfaction with life factor and two and four (respectively) orthogonal domain-specific factors. However, the results implied the functional unidimensionality of the questionnaire and a justification for the total score usage for most practical purposes. Five items were eliminated due to poor psychometric characteristics. The remaining 15 items showed a high to very high discrimination. The total score of the questionnaire had a high internal consistency and was the most informative in the very low to moderately high latent trait range. The questionnaire showed satisfactory convergent, discriminant, and predictive validity. Therefore, the (reduced) SOZŽ questionnaire can be recommended from the psychometric point of view. With depressiveness as a criterion example, we established that SOZŽ is a good predictor of depressiveness. However, the predictive value of SOZZ is only marginally higher in comparison to three times shorter SWLS questionnaire. This implies that the “essence” of general life satisfaction could likely be measured in a more efficient, i.e., shorter way.

The purpose of this research is determining cause of behavioral disorders at Primary school age students as well as prevention and correction which can be made while working with them. Research is made in eleven primary schools on area of Tuzla canton. The sample consists of 522 students of the fourth and ninth-graders aged 10 to 14 years, both genders and 166 teachers that teach them. Data about causes of behavioral disorder in primary school age students and educational preventive measures, which are used in schools, are collected using two instruments: SABD – Scale assessment of beavioral disorders, intended for teachers and students (Tomic 2005, revised and updated) and SGM - Scaler of Group Membership, which examines result of group belonging to a class at the school and result of belonging to a small group outside of the school (taken from Nenad Suzic). For data collection of group membership results in schools and group membership results of a small group outside of the schools, SGP – scaler of group membership method is used. Group membership is estimated to 40 even and odd items, and Likerts scale from 1 – none of value for me to 5 – totally is valuaable from me is used. All odd items are giving results of group membership to a class at the school, and even items are giving results of group membership to a small group outside of the school. This method is used for forth and ninth class students. For data collection of students disorder evaluation SPPP – Scale of disorder evaluation method is used. Students disorder evaluation is estimated to 23 items, and Likerts scale is from 1 – often to 5 – never. This method is used as well for forth and ninth class students, and for their professors. In treatment of research results following methods and analysis were used: descriptive statistics t-test method, variance analysis, ANOVA and regression analysis. For testing the bond strength between variables which describes behavioral disorders, and variables of belonging to a class at the school, and belonging to a small group outside of the school, procedure for calculating regression is used. The most important findings of this research showed that students have estimated that teachers have been depreciating and punishing their colleges at the school, but on the other side teachers do not feel and do not notice the same, so they did not declared themselves on this point; that their colleges manifest forms of behavioral disorders at the school; that their colleges are using drugs; seeking company outside of the school. Scientific and practical contribution of the research is aimed at raising awareness on how to recognize the causes of behavioral disorders, on improving the functioning of agents of socialization, on timely implementation of educational preventive and corrective measures in prevention different forms of behavioral disorders.
