It was investigated the biological properties of 27 strains of Enterobacteriaceae isolated from 24 children with suppurative-septic infection from the Surgical Department of Dnieprodzerzhinsk Hospital № 7. Isolated microflora was presented by four bacteria species: Esсherichia coli, Enterobacter aerogenes, Klebsiella оxytoca and K. pneumoniae. Esсherichia coli was the most widespread agent of suppurative-septic infection for children. All bacteria were the most sensitive to fluoroquinolones ІІ generation (norfloxacin and ciprofloxacin) and cephalosporins ІІІ generation (cefotaxim and cefoperazon).

Data on cadmium distribution in the soils of industrial, residential and recreational areas of Dniprodzerzhinsk city are presented. According to the classification of urban soils the following types of soils were identified in the city: urban soil proper, plantosoil, anthropogenic-surface-transformed natural soil and lawn soil. We have made the estimation of cadmium content. The problem of soils contamination in the city with high anthropogenic load is discussed. The total cadmium content in the industrial, residential and recreational soils of Dniprodzerzhinsk varies within 0.6–10.5 mg/kg, but movable forms make 0.1–3.4 mg/kg of soil. Cadmium in the urban soil proper of the right-bank city surpasses the maximum permissible concentration (MPC) twice. At the same time the soils in the left-bank area and in the eastern and western areas of the right-bank were under MPC.

The effect of mineral components of nutrient medium and abscisic acid (ABA) on isolated immature maize embryos is investigated with the aim to intensify their growth and to inhibit their early germination. Abscisic acid together with MS medium leads to the stasis of the development of both seedlings and embryos. The application of ABA along withN6 minerals inhibited the development of seedling’s organs in favour of embryos growth. For production of seedlings from immature embryos of 1 mm long their cultivation on modified N6 medium with addition of 12 mg/Lof abscisic acid is recommended.

Data obtained showed that using of neuroleptics in conditions of experimental psychosis was accompanied by the decreasing of mobility, investigative behavior and emotionality in experimental animals more than in intact ones. Asopposed to that, the action of atypical antipsychotic drug – sulpiride was characterized by the anxiety decreasing but the mobility increasing. The nootropic agents resulted in increasing of motor and emotional activity. The established pharmacological effects of neuroleptics, antidepressants and nootropic agents may use in clinical practice for treatment optimization of the patients with mental disability including schizophrenia.

Decrease of proliferative activity of the cells of Guerin’s carcinoma T8 in the different conditions of administration of the Rhenium-Platinum anti-tumour system as nanolyposomes is shown. The Rhenium-Platinum anti-tumour system influenced on the morphological indices of tumour tissue. The cluster rhenium compounds reduced the indices of pathological mitoses 3.0–3.6 times in comparison with a control group. The amount of PCNA-positive cells under the Rhenium-Platinum system treatment went down by 82.5–84.5 %. The anti-tumour system led to the predominance of apoptotic cell death over the necrotic one. The most effective agent was the compound with cis-adamantan organic ligand cis-Re2(C10H15COO)2Cl4·2DMSO introducted on the 9th day.

Data on ichthyopathological examinations of mature fish (pike, bream) from Dniprovs’ke reservoir are presented. That fish were confiscated from a person used the illegal homemade electric instrument ("electrical fishing rod"). All explored specimens of breams had keratopathy and visceral injury of different level. The most significant injuries were noted for kidney tissues. There was found the hemoperitoneum as well as nephremorrhagia and cerebral hemorrhage. In pikes it was noted the hemorrhages of hyomandibular canal. Determined ichthyopathological effects can be used for clear diagnostics of electric current lethal impact on fish.

The dependence of analysed indices on duration of the stress influence was found. The correlation between hippocampus bioelectrical activity and behavioural reactions of rats were established.

It was investigated the biological properties of 494 strains of Staphylococcus genus isolated from pathological material of patients from 15 Departments of Mechnikov Dnipropetrovsk Region Clinical Hospita. All microflora was presented by four bacteria species: Staphylococcus aureus, S. epidermidis, S. haemolyticus and S. saprophyticus. S. aureus was the most extended agent of infections. All bacteria were the most sensitive to linezolid, gentamycin and meropenem.

IFA test-sistem is developed for identification of the heat stable (ST) enterotoxin of Escherichia coli in the calves faeces at different stages of colibacteriosis. The range of its titre makes ≥ 250 ng/ml at the hyperacute stage, at the acute stage – ≥ 500 ng/ml, and at the subacute one– ≥ 1 000 ng/ml. The registered enterotoxin titres can be considered as the diagnostic indices.

The electrical evoked potentials (EP) of spinal cord (SC) in reply to the mechanical activation were investigated. The energy of stroke variated from 1·10–3 up to 4·10–3 J. The registration of EP is realized in a L5 segment of SC, the point of stimulation was sequentially moved upwards along the SC. We have shown, that the augmentation of stimulus force produced the increase of amplitude of a potential and its duration. After excluding a place of stimulation from a place of registration the potential was decreased proportional to the square of the distance. We concluded that the mechanical percussions of the SC resulted in the development of long-term oscillating activity of neurones of SC.

The role of septum in the mechanisms of aggressive behaviour formation has been studied. It has been established, that forced stimulation of septum leads to diminution of aggressive manifestations in behaviour. Electrical destructions lead to outburst of strong aggression in behaviour. Behaviour is accompanied by a considerable increase of convulsive paroxysmal activity. Monoamines are neurochemical substances ensuring this behaviour. They form complicated hierarchical interrelations between each other.

Prisivachie is the complicated ecological system which is considered as a landscape rank. At the same time the structure of the landscape includes a number of ecosystems of lower level – biogeocenoses. The specific structure of floristic and faunistic complexes of each biogeocenosis is established and studied. The comparative analysis of the complexes with the use of Jacquard's similarity coefficient has been carried out; the degree of their similarity has been revealed.

The methods and a laboratory bench have been developed for research of the multienzyme systems of cyanobacteriae Mycrocystis aeruginosa. The bench allows regulating the luminous intensity and suspension agitation, studying the cells reproduction and conducting the chemical analysis of water. It has been established that algae can be used in a biofilter for reducing low concentrations of total iron in water to the levels which meet state standard (GOST 2874-82) requirements. Algae cells reproduction during water treatment from iron in a biofilter indicates that the number of enzyme systems and their activity increase. The advantage of the algae multienzyme systems use for the water treatment is the fact that they maintain their activity for a long time and do not need any carbonaceous energy substrata.

The influence of the fishing electrical trawl ELU-4M on ichthyofauna in artificial ponds is studied. The comparative analysis of the results obtained and the literature sources is presented. Negative and positive consequences of the electrical trawl application for industrial fishery and regulation of its use are described. It is determined that the exploitation of the industrial electrical trowl (taking into account some ambiguous influence to the biota) in artificial isolated ponds doesn`t influence catastrophically on a hydroecosystem. The work regulation of trowl consists in limitation of its seasonable and diurnal uset, and also in the fishing locations.

Changes of mucous membrane of rats’ stomach after long term application of proton pump inhibition – Omeprazole. Increase of pepsin concentration, volume and рН in both fasting and basal gastric juice in comparison with the control was observed. It is established that the content of nitrates and nitrites in gastric juice and in the rats’ mixed saliva after the 12th day of introduction of proton pump inhibitors is 3:1.

Experimental investigation of defensive behavior of Rasbora paviei Tirant, 1885 from riverine and limnetic habitats was carried out. Fish for the experiment were caught in the upper stream of Cai river and shallow littoral of Cam Lam reservoir of Khanh Hoa province of Central Vietnam. Billfish Lepisosteus sp. was used as a model predator for the experiment. Distinctions in defensive reaction of R. paviei from different ecological conditions were found. It was revealed that defensive behavior of fish from river’s upper stream was more effective than that of fish from the shallow littoral zone of the reservoir.

Influence of various doses of γ-irradiation on biosynthesis of chlorophyll and carotinoids, and also on a progress of mitotic divisions of meristematic cells of root hairs at sprouting wheat seeds at the presence of pyrocatechol, iron pyrocatecholat, thiocarbamide, iron thiocarbamide, rutine, iron rutinate, juglon and iron juglonate was studied. There was revealed that iron pyrocatecholate, iron rutinate, juglon and iron juglonate possess appreciable radioprotective properties which stimulate adaptive biosynthesis of chlorophyll and carotinoids, and also considerably reduce a number of chromosomal aberrations under irradiation.

Taxonomical composition and ecological structure of Oribatei associates in recultivated territories located near Zhovti Vody town are investigated. The artificial arboreal planting causes increase of oribatida number in comparison with recultivated areas without arbors. Planting of trees and presence of the leaf litter promote to redistribution of oribatida life-form and change of structure in their complexes. The positive influence of artificial forest ecosystems in technogenic landscapes of different stages of technical remediation on forming of Oribatei ecological structure is shown.

The direct comparative facts of different options of inoculum production of Plearotus ostreatus:classical, tissue, with the use of «grain», active and fermentative mycelium are presented. The advantages and shortcomings of each method have been shown, that gives the possibility of chosing the most optimum variant for already formed grow conditions. The methods of mycelium production on the grain substrate and also with the use of the active material demand considerable expenditure for the equipment and absolutely sterile conditions that is very difficult to achieve. The results of the long term research on the number and the species composition of the phyllosphere’s yeasts (epigenous yeasts) of the plants in the northern, southern and subtropical regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan have been generalized. The obtained results show that the number and diversity of the yeast communities naturally decrease in different substrates, which correspond to different stages of the plants development. A set of dominant species is characteristic for each stage of the development. High yeast diversity is peculiar to forest biogeocenos rather than other ones. We identified 48 types of yeasts in phyllosphere and associated substances, 35 of which we were able to identify by morphological and physiological characteristics. Most of the identified yeasts were minor species, whose occurrence did not exceed 0.5% of the total specified yeasts. The results show that only 25 species of yeasts are permanent habitants of phyllosphere and alltogether they account for 90 % of the total yeast population.

Gas-producing bacteria were isolated from natural media: soil and compost extracts. The properties of the obtained microorganisms cultures as destructors of organic substances were studied. Studied bacteria were cultivated in experimental semi-synthetic media with saw dust and carboxymethyl cellulose. A growth at different pH values, a dynamics of growth, an amount of utilizated sugar, a volume of released gas during cultivation were studied. Most intensive growth of gas-producing cultures has been observed in a medium with CMC and the ability to gas producing was more manifested in the bacterial culture isolaited from the compost.

It was established, that production of proteolytic enzymes from yeasts is effected by sources of Carbon, Nitrogen and energy. The impact of different organic substances to proteo-, fibrino-, gelatine- and haemoglobinolytic enzyme activity from Yarrowia lipoytica 2061 is established. Positive effect of addition galactose and gelatin with glycine in cultural liquid is revealed. Optimal temperature, pH and other physical parameters for getting proteolityc enzyme complexes is defined.

Microelements accumulation features are considered in micromammals’ organism taken from different degrees transformation biogeocoenosis of Dnipropetrovs’k region. Coefficients of accumulation are defined in different organs and tissues. Accumulation of heavy metals in the micromammals’ organism in different ecosystems, with a different technogenic contamination is heterogeneous. Organs which defined as concentrators are spleen, heart and gonads. They have primary accumulation of heavy metals. Organs–deconcentrators are those which have active extraction of microelements (liver, kidneysand and intestine). Tendency to the decline of microelements accumulation intensity in animals from strongly transformed biogeocoenosis are stated. Formation of the special barriers of accumulation and excretion from organism by organs–deconcentrators testifies to making an adaptive mechanism at the level of physiology-biochemical processes and, first of all, the metabolism intensification.

There was investigated protective effect of chronic melatonin injection on the development of cognitive deficit in rats with streptozotocine induced diabetes. There were observed decrease of astrogliosis and of cognitive deficit in animals that were injected with melatonin. Presented results are evidence that melatonin can prevent the development of cognitive deficit in diabetic animals by decreasing oxidative stress level and astrogliosis inhibition.

The advantage of donor-recipient pairs’ selection HLA for kidneys transplantation by the second grades HLA-DR determined by a method of DNA typing as compared with the selection based on the antigens of the first grade has been studied. It has been found that genetic typing is highly sensitive and specific. The results of the research show that the selection by the antigens HLA-DR is more efficient.
