A conceptual relationship between archives and memory center´s
Abstract: The article in question presents a reflective analysis about the social importance gained over the historical process known institutions titled archives and memory centers. The goal is to think about the relationship between both institutions trying to understand and explain this relationship from the core activities of each one and not the nature of the custody documents. However we argue that according to the concepts of information, memory and archives governing the activities and missions of the two institutions, this relationship is becoming closer. The ideas presented have as an object of analysis the Documentation Center of Memory and Union CUT - CUT CEDOC within the research developed in the doctoral thesis entitled " The Central Workers Union (CUT) and its Archives: The importance of documentation in the process construction of memory (1983-2003) . " By analyzing the CEDOC CUT from its denomination documentation center will try to see if it CEDOC CUT could also be recognized as archive. Keywords: Archives. Documentation Center. Memory. History
Archival institutions the information society and the need for document management systemic
Abstract Document management has been one of the most debated topics in modern archival, especially with new trends arising from technological developments and the Information Society. However, many challenges include consolidation, especially in public archives because often problems of standardization and integration make up the context of these institutions. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the literature, research on document management, held in public archives with a view to integrating documentary produced in these archives. The study brings up some features and concepts document, archive, document management and document management systemic. Demonstrates the factors that interfere in the modernization of the information units, reflecting on the need for archives on the networks of information / knowledge, making it an integrated unit. The method employed is literature review in books on document management, articles, theses and dissertations produced in the last five years and indexed in SciELO portal and Institutional Repositories and, finally, we used also the consultation of archival legislation. The results confirmed that the term "systemic document management" is not being used by the theorists of the area, however, to address the document management, it is assumed that it must be conducted on the basis of new tools, methodologies and archival resources available in the digital environment, being properly shared, consuming an archival ambience dynamic, interactive and integrated, permeated by collaborative work. Insert professional and contributions in theory of archivist management judicial power documentary
Abstract This article presents survey regarding the employability and theoretical contributions to the document management Archivists in the judiciary. We tried to initially contextualize the history of the discipline in Brazil, with the main moments of its consolidation, through the actions of the National Archives, association, until the creation of the top courses Bachelor of archival. The aim is to identify, classify and analyze the emergence and consolidation of Archivology in Brazil, the academic and professional environments, through its insertion to its consolidation in the judiciary, developing through the survey and analysis: a) of the notices public procurement of the organs of the Brazilian courts, carried out between the years 1999-2014, for the provision of the Judicial Analyst positions - Specialty archivist; b) and events (conferences, seminars, forums, etc.) with archival issues dealing with the judiciary archives. In this sense, we intend to support as professionals, work and archival practice in the Judiciary Power has been treated and placed in these institutions. Abstract The study aimed to consider possible alliances between history and archival science through Public Archives analysis - Councillor Ivan Jose Lopes and the reports of some residents about archival institutions. We seek to understand the role of archive as one of the places of the memory (s) of the city and not just guardian of old papers and old. Internships in higher education and law 11,788: a case study in the field of archival science
Abstract The research aims to analyze the current status of internships carried out by Archival Science undergraduate students from UNIRIO regarding the Trainee Law of 2008. The trainee is a practical activity that aims to provide students with the actual participation in the labor market, focusing on their area of training, enabling the improvement of their skills, qualifications and the exercise of citizenship, the consciousness of their rights and duties in the society they live, considering an increasingly competitive and demanding market. Initially it has been detected the rise of the earliest mention of this legal subject in Brazil: the trainee. Then, a brief Legal history until Law No. 11,788, of September 25, 2008 was traced. The new Trainee Law has in its core objective articles that define more clearly the responsibilities of the parties involved in this process, bringing benefits to higher education students. Through exploratory research, in the universe of Archival Science students from Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro – UNIRIO, some of the 22 articles of the Trainee Law have been used for the analysis and verification of the proposed compliance in these articles by the parties involved. Rare books and special: a year with the cultural heritage by means of interdisciplinarity in northern minas
Abstract This report is a reflection of the experience in treating rare and special works of Library Board of the Universidade Estadual de Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, with the aim of preserving these rich documents as historical source, literary, educational, anyway, all areas of knowledge who want to work them. A group of historians, biblioteconomistas, literati and educators reflect on the experience in dealing with special and rare works, considered cultural heritage and revealing that interdisciplinarity allows dialogue between professionals and the construction of the teaching and learning process. Information mediation: an analysis of the required attitudinal skills of the information professional
Abstract: Analysis of required competences for the information professional as information mediator on the perspective of the knowledge appropriation. Therefore, we use concepts of information mediation, communication and competences. Concerning the mediation, the role and the importance of the information professional arises as a social actor related to the knowledge appropriation; we discuss aspects of competences, skills and required attitudes for information professional’s mediation development. From the communication point of view, we approach its imbrications into the human interaction process. For the applied research development, we employ the qualitative approach. The research was conducted in order to expand the debate on the education of information professionals that is anchored in the theoretical and methodological foundations of Information Science, which has as its object of study the information, this being understood as a phenomenon of activation knowledge through a social action mediation. For the main outcomes, our study pointed out some attitudinal competence categories – personal, relational, entrepreneurial and social – that are required into the process of information mediation. We highlight that the biggest challenge for the information professional as a mediator is the necessity to develop behavioral skills with other knowledge appropriation process actors. The scientific production of the UNAM - Managua represented on Web of Science (2004-september 2014)
Abstract This work uses bibliometric indicators of activity and the impact of co-authorship to analyze the articles published in the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua (UNAN-Managua), represented in the Web of Science (WOS), in the period of 2004 to September 2014. A literature review discusses the indicators of science and scientific evaluation and production. Articles are located in three different bases within the WOS, which belong to Web of Science Home Collection, INSPEC and MEDLINE in fifteen thematic areas: Public Occupational and Environmental Health; Environmental Sciences; Geology; Nursing; Dentistry; Medicine; Veterinary; Pharmacy; Preclinical Sciences; Materials Science; Oceanography; Nuclear Engineering; Geophysics; Biomedical Engineering: and Biophysics. All production is made up of a sample of 67 articles, produced by the research units of the university. The production of the UNAM-Managua is mostly journal articles and a minority of conference papers, with an annual average growth rate of 10.2%. Most of them are recorded in English in journals of impact. A paper was highly cited, written in English and published with international collaboration of institutions from other countries. It is shown that the scientific production of the UNAM-Managua is aimed to develop international collaboration, and that co-authoring presents the most prevalent average of five authors per paper. Central Archives of the Federal University at Santa Catarina: trainee report
Abstract This paper describes the Supervised Trainee II Report on the in the undergraduate course in Archival Sciences, conducted at the Coordinator’s Office of the Central Archives of the Federal University at Santa Catarina from August 18 – September 23, 2014. The purpose of the work was to organize some of the documents related to contracts entered into by the Administrative Dean’s Office (PRA). Documents from 1980-1982 from the permanent archives were cleaned, placed in order, repaired and had their covers and boxes replaced. A guided visit was also conducted to the Service of Digitalization and Micro-filming of Documents. The activities were concluded with the development of a research tool (an index) composed of 289 dossiers for the contracts held by the PRA.
