The study examines the probable factors such as female literacy, and per capita GNP who affects the child mortality in different extend. It reveals in the study that female literacy and per capita GNP adversely influence the child mortality of the low and middle income countries around the world, meaning that an increase in the both variables can trim down the child mortality significantly. It is found that the impact of female literacy is nearly double than that of per capita GNP which suggests to give more importance on female education and public awareness to reduce child mortality.
It is shown the sense of notion ‘’concession’’, and ‘’tourism concession’’. The conceptual foundations of concessions in Ukraine are investigated, which are reduced to a logical sequence of following components: principles, objects, concession bidding, the concession contract. It is characterized the nature of concession. It deals with international experience in the implementation of concession contracts. It has been found that the concession mechanism can form the basis for government programs of economic development. Concession agreements are promising implementation of public-private partnerships, which can ensure the development not only of tourism and recreation in Ukraine, but also the entire infrastructure. They form the foundations of system development of the sector as an integral factor in the economic system.
A heuristic concept of institutional self-organization in regional environmental monitoring systems is proposed and tested with a cross-country example. The effect of pollutants’ health and environmental impact upon their coverage in annual monitoring programs is modeled using logistic regression with random effects, controlling for central government budget allocations. Statistical estimations show the varying degree of self-organizing systems’ capability of efficiently mediating macro policy signals. A regular assessment of this kind may provide the screening criteria for efficiency audit, as well as design, of environmental monitoring systems, and assist in establishing co-financing amounts and structures for environmental administration.
This article deals with issues of importance of creativity in the development of their employees pro-innovative attitudes. According to the author decided the issue is important due to, among others. Impossible to ignore the impact of effective human capital development for the survival of the organization in a turbulent environment, especially now, ie. in the period in which the effect of the recent economic crisis/economic downturn. Effective human capital development should therefore be closely associated with the formation of pro-innovative attitudes of employees. Increasing globalization indicates that sustainable economic development can be ensured only by building a competitive advantage for organizations conducting business based on innovative solutions.
One of the conditions of human life in the city is a sufficient number of recreational facilities. Among them an important place is occupied by recreation units in residential districts, which are used for daily and weekly resource types of recreation, especially by inhabitants relating to the category of citizens with limited mobility. This paper presents the economic evaluation of recreation units in residential districts by using the method of total economic value. The objects include a water body (pond) and as well as green area. There were determined the direct use value (cost of wood), as well as indirect use. There were taken into account the following functions of recreational facility components: water treatment, carbon dioxide sequestration and dust removing. There were compared the costs of direct and indirect use of recreational facilities. It was also shown the necessity to keep the visual impact of the recreational landscape with his assessment.
