Purpose: to establish the features and areas of activity for the development of physical culture and sports in the territory of the Kharkіv province of the 1st Gymnastic Society. Material & Methods: the research material was preserved in rare editions – reports on the activities of the Kharkiv Gymnastic Society for 1895, 1896, 1900, 1909. Research methods: analysis and synthesis of scientific literature data, problem-search, historical-systemic and logical methods. Results: revealed that at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries, sports spread in large cities, and educational institutions and sports societies became the basis for the development of physical culture and sports. Kharkiv 1st Gymnastic Society began to work one of the first in the Kharkiv region. The use of various forms of organization of classes made it possible to carry out extensive campaigning among the population of Kharkiv to attract physical education and sports, including women and children; contribute to the development of sports that the Society has cultivated. Conclusions: as a result of the study, the year of foundation and founders of the 1st Gymnastic Society was established. The results of previous scientific studies on the functioning of societies at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries were expanded in the following areas: organizational structure and composition, functions of a teacher (trainer), attracting women and children to physical education, sources of income and expense items, timetable and forms of organization of classes , activities for the development of physical education and individual sports in the territory of Kharkiv province, the 1st Gymnastic Society.

The aim of modern therapy for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is to reduce the severity of symptoms and prevent the development of relapse exacerbations, maintain pulmonary function at an optimal level and improve the quality of life of patients. The solution to these problems is pulmonary rehabilitation. Search for effective ways of providing an educational component, assessing the impact of various training programs and implementing a self-management strategy continues. Purpose: to analyze modern approaches, advantages and disadvantages of educational programs on self-management of people with COPD and establish the role of a physical therapy specialist in providing them. Material & Methods: the search was conducted on the resource of the US National Center for Biotechnological Information PubMed and in the database of scientific evidence on physical therapy PEDro. According to the results of the search in the databases, 329 links were obtained, of which, after excluding those that did NOT meet the necessary criteria, 14 publications were selected for subsequent analysis. Results: 29 educational topics related to self-management education were identified, which in different combinations are recommended for study in educational programs for patients with COPD. Training topics were grouped into four training modules that took into account the goals and objectives of the self-management strategy and ensure their solution. The most often competent in implementing educational programs for patients with COPD are a pulmonologist, physical therapist, nurse, pharmacist, occupational therapist, and social worker. The content, results, advantages and limitations of various self-management training programs are analyzed. Conclusions: today there are not enough practical recommendations and clear criteria that training programs on self-management for patients with COPD should meet. The analysis of modern clinical studies on the introduction of self-management training is the basis for the development of Ukrainian-language training programs.

Purpose: to develop the content of training programs for the extreme and central defenders using special exercises in accordance with the game role and determine the effectiveness of their use in young football players 13–14 years old. Material & Methods: the study involved young football players of 13–14 years old FC "Arsenal" in Kharkiv in the amount of 10 athletes during a one-year macrocycle (2018–2019). In the process of research, pedagogical observation and determination of quantitative and qualitative technical and tactical actions during the match, methods of mathematical statistics were used. Results: the influence of the complexes of special running and jumping exercises, which were additionally used by the wing back and central defenders in accordance with the game role, on the quantitative and qualitative indicators of the game activity of young football players of 13–14 years is determined. Conclusions: the results obtained experimentally confirmed the effectiveness of the use of specialized running and jumping exercises separately for the extreme and central defenders, which increases the level of their performance of technical and tactical actions.

Purpose: to determine the relationship between the motor, trophic and mental qualities of an athlete in accordance with the constitution of his somatotype in order to establish at an early stage of the morphofunctional development of objective, phylogenetically determined signs of motor talent for sports dancing. Material & Methods: the work was carried out on the basis of the "Ideal" sports club. The study involved dancers in the amount of 20 athletes involved in sports dancing at the initial training stage. In solving the tasks, the following methods were used: analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodological literature; generalization of the practical experience of the coaching contingent working with children in sports dance groups; a modified method of clinical anthropometry M. Ya. Breitman; natural pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics and mathematical modeling. Results: the significance of competitive interdependent relationships of the constitutional structure of the somatotype in the distribution of universal tissue - body weight was established. The groups of the smallest parts of the body, the average sizes and the longest parts of the body are distinguished, and results are obtained on the frequency of occurring locations of each indicator. Compiled a universal code of the Collective somatotype. Conclusions: the use of the modified method of M. Ya. Breitman allows not only to determine the unified somatotype code, but also to reveal the patterns of motor and trophic qualities most pronounced for certain somatotypes.

Purpose: development of a contactless real-time monitoring system of the athlete’s current functional state. Material & Methods: analysis of scientific and methodological literature on the problems of ongoing research; biomechanical analysis of the kinematic and dynamic characteristics of the athlete's motor actions when performing competitive exercises; methods of mathematical statistics; computer mathematical modeling. Results: the existing methods for assessing the functional state of the body during the training and competitive activities of the athlete are reviewed and analyzed, on the basis of which the requirements for the construction of a method of contactless monitoring of the athlete’s functional state are determined. Conclusions: the functional state of martial arts athletes is currently monitored by modern equipment with a high degree of accuracy and speed of information processing, but only in contact mode, which excludes the possibility of operational monitoring of the athlete’s current state during the fight. The study of the biomechanics of the motion of the kinematic links of the limbs and the static working pose based on the materials of the video recording of the athlete's movements made it possible to establish the dependence of the flow of dynamic forces that determine the speed of movement of the biokinematic pairs, which formed the basis of the developed non-contact method for assessing the measure of athlete fatigue directly during the fight. Modern techniques of video recording, computer support and established patterns of kinematic movements at various static stresses of the working pose allowed us to achieve our goal.

Purpose: to distinguish the conditions of occurrence of the term "physical culture" and peculiarities of transformation of the concept of "physical culture" in the process of cultural and historical evolution of the sphere of activity of people related to the use of physical exercises. Material & Methods: the research methods are the analysis of special literature, which highlights various aspects of the development of basic forms of social manifestations of physical culture. Results: the results of the study made it possible to formulate a scientific paradigm that underlies the theory describing the development of the field of activity of people associated with the use of physical exercises, the name of which is used the term "physical culture". They also indicate that the term “physical culture” entered widespread social practice in the first half of the 19th century. The analysis of the substantive essence of the concepts of “culture” and “physical” showed that the phrase “physical culture” can be interpreted both in a narrow and in a broad sense. In a narrow sense, it means the development, education, care, improvement of human physicality. In a broad sense, the concept of “physical culture” must be interpreted as the activity of people using physical exercises to develop, educate, care, improve the bodily and spiritual essence of a person, as well as individual and socially significant results of such activities. The analysis also indicates that at the end of the 19th century the term “physical culture” was recognized as the name of the profession. Conclusions: one of the basic sociocultural factors that influenced the emergence and widespread use of the term “physical culture” in the 19-th century was the introduction of physical exercises for students in national educational systems. During this period, the majority of the pedagogical community and public figures understood physical culture not only as physical exercises, but also the whole complex of factors ensuring the normal development of the body and the health of students. At the beginning of the 20th century, the term “physical culture” was gradually supplanted by the term “physical education”. The analysis showed that before the end of the 19th century in the leading countries of Europe and in the USA as a whole, the process of institutionalizing the health and educational direction in the development of the field of activity of people associated with the use of physical exercises was completed.

Purpose: analysis and generalization of the legal regulation of the physical education of children in school and out-of-school time. Material & Methods: in the course of the study, methods of analysis of literary sources and documents, induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis were used, which made it possible to determine the legal support of the system of physical education of schoolchildren in the classroom and after school hours, as well as its current state. Results: in the process of analysis it was found that all components of school and out-of-school physical education of schoolchildren are regulated at the legislative level. However, the main burden on the formation of the physical culture of the person is assigned by the state to the lesson form of employment. At the same time, based on the research materials of many scientists, it can be argued that it is almost impossible to form a physical culture of a person through only lessons. Conclusions: obtained results in the course of the study showed that the methodology for assessing the indicators of the formation of the physical culture of the personality of schoolchildren has not been developed at the legislative level and, accordingly, has not been established, which makes it impossible to effectively monitor the implementation of the goals.

Today, the state of development of the sphere of physical culture and sports is characterized by the presence of organizational and legal problems at the level of functioning of all its components (physical education, professional or mass sport, etc.) on the way to solving socially significant social problems. The lack of an objective assessment of the current state of the public relations industry, which is covered by physical education and sports, taking into account the state policy of Ukraine’s integration with the international community, leads to the process of assimilation of this industry in favor of a stronger partnership, which is being formed. Purpose: to analyze the activities of physical education and sports organizations from the position of conceptual provisions of the theory of system organization. Material & Methods: analysis of literary sources; analysis of documents; system analysis; historicism method; a method of analogy of observed patterns; mathematical modeling method. Results: the problem of managing complex social systems in the context of the functioning of the sports law industry is considered. The theoretical foundations of self-organization of collective interdependent relations in the field of physical culture are substantiated from the position of conceptual provisions of the theory of system organization. Conclusions: it has been established that at the present stage of development of public sports associations, the international sports movement and international sports federations, successful managerial activity can only be based on the condition that it is built on the basis of systems theory. It is established that the process of formation of interdependent relationships is based on the general principles of interaction of the object in question and its environment. It is the interaction of the object and the environment as a whole that acts as one of the determining principles of effective management and the key to maintaining the equilibrium state of the system.

Purpose: to analyze the sports achievements of the participants of the European Championships among cadets in women's wrestling for the national team of Ukraine. Material & Methods: analyzed the sports careers of 74 athletes of the Ukrainian team, who took part in the European Championship among cadets from 2000 to 2010, and their further performances to date. Results: the following indicators are considered: the results of the athletes ’performances at the European Championship among cadets; the number of athletes who continued their careers separately in junior and adult years; results of the performance of athletes in junior and adulthood at international competitions. Conclusions: the general trends of the future career and achievements of the athletes of the national team of Ukraine who participated in the European Championships among cadets from 2000 to 2010 are revealed. For athletes established the relationship of their own results at all stages of a sports career. Quantitative data and distribution of characteristics for all 74 participants of the competition are given: 56.8% of female athletes continued their career among adults, and 24.3% took prizes in European and world championships. An outstanding result is emphasized - five athletes managed to take part in the Olympic Games.

Purpose: to classify acrobatic exercises of group B according to their level of complexity. Material & Methods: theoretical analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodological literature data, analysis of competition results, pedagogical observations, surveys, questionnaires, video analysis of competitive programs of the finalists of the World and European Championships 2008–2019, system analysis, methods of mathematical statistics. Results: the author's system of classification of acrobatic exercises made it possible to sort in detail and develop a method for determining and calculating the complexity of 130 basic acrobatic exercises of group B. Conclusions: the data obtained became the basis for the development of a single table of the technical value of acrobatic exercises of group B in artistic swimming. Preliminary testing of this system and its discussion at international seminars for specialists, coaches and judges of various qualifications in artistic swimming made it possible to introduce a number of refinements, additions and to improve the development of a system for classifying acrobatic exercises of group B and assessing their complexity.

Purpose: to determine the quality of the indicators of technical and tactical actions of young football players 13–14 years of different playing roles during the competitive activity. Material & Methods: the study was conducted during a football competition. The study involved 11 football players 13–14 years of the football team Arsenal. The quality of the performance of technical and tactical actions was analyzed during 10 games in the championship competitions of the city of Kharkov in football. The analysis of literary sources, pedagogical observation and methods of mathematical statistics were used. Results: the performance indicators for the technical and tactical actions of young football players 13–14 years during 10 games depending on the game role were determined. Conclusions: the conducted studies show that the quality of the performance of technical and tactical actions among young football players 13–14 years old is not the same for players of different game roles. The results obtained indicate the need to determine model characteristics for players of each game role, compare them with existing ones, and develop special exercises to eliminate differences between them.

Competition is intensifying on the world platform, competitive activity is becoming more complex, requirements for the performing skills of athletes are being raised, special requirements are being placed on the level of special physical fitness of gymnasts, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to win. There are new problems that leading experts associate with the process of many years of sports training. Now in sports aerobics (aerobic gymnastics) there is the problem of developing special physical qualities of athletes, starting from the initial training stage. Also, the issues of selecting adequate means and methods have not been sufficiently resolved, their rational combination in the training process, taking into account the specificity of the competitive activity of this sport, modern refereeing and tasks of this stage. Purpose: theoretically develop and experimentally substantiate the methodology for improving the special physical training of gymnasts in sports aerobics at the initial training stage. Material & Methods: a complex of scientific research methods (pedagogical research methods and methods of mathematical statistics) was used. 32 athletes (7–8 years old, girls) took part in the experimental part. Two groups were formed (control – 16 girls, and the main – 16 girls). Results: through the use of an experimental technique, selection of funds and the optimal combination of loads, taking into account the age characteristics of young athletes, an increase in physical performance was obtained, the physical and functional preparedness of the gymnasts of the main group increased. Conclusions: the developed methodology for improving the special physical training of gymnasts 7–8 years old, who are engaged in sports aerobics (aerobic gymnastics), ensures the growth of physical capabilities of athletes, solves the main tasks of the training stage, based on the specifics of motor activity, sensitive periods of development of physical qualities in this form sports, contributes to comprehensive physical development, integrated physical preparedness, the laying of a specific functional base for effective of learning technology.

The scientific article is devoted to the study of the incidence of elderly people through the prism of the demographic status of the population of Ukraine during 2010–2019. Purpose: to study the dynamics of aging of the population of Ukraine and determine the incidence of elderly people. Material & Methods: analysis of scientific, methodological, regulatory literature, research of data from the State Statistics of Ukraine, copying from medical records. The study processed 487 medical records of the elderly. Results: according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, it was determined that from 2010 to 2019 the proportion of people over working age is 1/6 of the country's population and has some upward trend. In the structure of the incidence of elderly people, diseases of the circulatory system, diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue, and diseases of the nervous system were most often encountered. Conclusions: in Ukraine, as in most countries of the world, the nation is aging. In connection with the deterioration in the health of the population of Ukraine, as evidenced by the results of screening studies, scientists pay attention to the problem of attracting to motor activity.

Purpose: to analyze the impact indicators of recreational swimming classes on the physical development of women 30–40 years old. Material & Methods: data collection was carried out in the fitness groups of the Pioneer pool sport school on water sports named after Yana Klochkova. The study involved 20 women aged 30–40 years, 2–3 times a week, attend fitness groups swimming. The duration of one lesson is 45–60 minutes. A comparative analysis of changes in the physical development of the studied contingent in the process of applying innovative programs from recreational swimming was carried out. The methods used were: survey, testing, biomedical control. The obtained quantitative data were processed by methods of mathematical statistics. Results: study suggests that in women 30–40 years old, recreational swimming classes cause positive changes in physical development. In both groups of the studied, significant changes in anthropometric indicators and indicators of the state of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems took place. Conclusions: the targeted use of innovative recreational swimming programs positively influenced the anthropometric indicators of women aged 30–40. A significant improvement in the indicators of the functional state of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems of women involved in swimming was established. It was revealed that anthropometric indicators and indicators of the functional state of the cardiovascular system after a year of classes are significantly high compared to the initial data (P(t)<0,01; P(t)<0,001).

Based on the analysis of the biological and pharmacological support of athletes, a dietary supplement was chosen to study the effectiveness of the application at the preparatory stage. The presented experimental data indicate that there are positive significant differences between the control and experimental groups of athletes who took dietary supplements of NSP Defense Maintenance. The conducted studies confirm the need for planning the biological and pharmacological support of sports activities in order to increase sports results and prevent and restore athletic health and athletic disabilities. Purpose: to study the effectiveness of the use of dietary supplements with antioxidant effects and with an immunostimulant effect to optimize the functional state of athletes at the preparatory phase. Material & Methods: the studies were organized on the basis of the laboratory of “Biochemistry and Pharmacology of Sports” of Zaporizhzhya National University with the participation of 28 athletes aged 17 to 23 years. In the process of the experiment, the following methods were used: analysis of scientific and methodological literature, generalization of practical experience, pedagogical observations, methods for assessing functional readiness using computer technologies, methods of mathematical statistics. Results: the use of dietary supplements of the NSP Defense Maintenance company positively affected the growth of overall physical performance in athletes in the preparatory period. Conclusion: it is shown that the biological and pharmacological support of training at the preparatory stage is one of the important factors in increasing the efficiency of the training process.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is the most common form of compression-ischemic neuropathy, found in clinical practice. Purpose: to evaluate functional disorders of the upper limb in individuals with carpal tunnel syndrome using the Boston questionnaire (Boston Carpal Tunnel Questionnaire, BCTQ). Material & Methods: analysis and synthesis of data from scientific and methodological literature and the Internet information network were used; survey, medical history, mathematical methods. To assess the functional state of the affected upper limb during the initial examination, we used the Boston Carpal Tunnel Questionnaire (BCTQ), which consists of two scales: the Symptom Severity Scale (SSS) and the Function Status Scale (FSS), which was filled by the patient on his own. The study was conducted on the basis of the Kiev City Clinical Hospital No. 4 in the period from 2017 to 2018. The study involved 37 patients with CTS, of which 21 – women (56,8%) people, 16 – men (43,2%) people. Results: analyzed pain and sensory disorders on the scale of symptom severity (Symptom Severity Scale, SSS) and functional disorders on the scale (Function Status Scale, FSS) of the Boston questionnaire. During the initial examination of patients with CTS, we found that mainly moderate (24,3%) and severe pain (37,8%) in the affected upper limb prevailed in patients, which over the past 2 weeks led patients to wake up at night: 1 time – 32,4% of patients, 2–3 times – 29,7% of people. During the day, 29,7% of patients complained of moderate pain in the arm and 43,3% of people were worried about severe pain. Most patients (48,7%) indicated that pain lasts from 10 minutes to 60 minutes. For functional disorders, the greatest difficulties for patients occurred when fastening buttons on clothes – 83,8%, opening a bottle – 86,5% and doing homework – 79,9% of people. Conclusion: an initial examination of patients with carpal tunnel syndrome indicated pain in the affected limb, numbness, decreased sensitivity, muscle weakness on the severity scale of the symptoms of the Boston questionnaire were observed. On the scale of functional impairment, we found difficulties that arose in patients performing everyday activities and self-care.

The duration of the competitive program in sports aerobics is about 1.5 minutes, during which the athlete must perform high-intensity complex coordination movements that are combined with acrobatic elements. The implementation of these exercises is necessarily subject to musical accompaniment, which sets the pace of exercise. With the athlete advanced training, the competitive program acquires changes and is saturated with more complex elements. In this regard, the trainers are constantly faced with the task of selecting exercises that would be able to solve the problem of developing the optimal level of endurance, which will allow more technically complete the given exercises. Since sports aerobics is a young sport that is gaining its development, today the basis for many years of training athletes has not yet been formed theoretically. The issues of developing endurance also remain uncertain, and it does not allow coaches to more fully build the training process of their pupils. Purpose: to find out the features of the formation of biochemical mechanisms of energy supply in the process of endurance development female athletes in sports aerobics. Materials & Methods: the study was organized on the basis of the municipal out-of-school educational institution "Center for Children and Youth Creativity Dream" of the city of Kryvyi Rig, which was attended by 10 female athletes 14–15 years old, at the stage of basic sports training. In the process of the experiment, the following methods were used: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature; study of documentary materials, video materials of competitions, pedagogical observation, pedagogical testing, methods of mathematical statistics. Results: presented results of a study of the features of the formation of biochemical mechanisms of energy supply in the process of development of endurance athletes in sports aerobics. Experimental data indicate that in the process of developing endurance of athletes in sports aerobics, the efficiency of the glycolytic mechanism of ATP resistance increased, and a positive effect of the proposed funds on the adaptation processes in the test organism during the transition from creatine-phosphate mechanism of energy supply to glycolytic was revealed. Conclusions: compositions in sports aerobics are marked by the complex coordination nature of the exercises, which must also be performed with great intensity and high pace throughout the competition program. Therefore, the development of such a physical quality as endurance is very important for athletes of this sport. The duration of the competitive program in sports aerobics determines the formation of the leading mechanisms of energy supply in the process of endurance development, namely: the efficiency of the glycolytic mechanism of ATP resistance, as well as adaptation processes in the body of athletes during the transition from creatine phosphate to glycolytic mechanisms, increase.

Purpose: elucidation of the motives and interests of adolescents regarding forms of physical activity in health and recreation facilities. Material & Methods: in a sociological study, adolescents aged 10–15 years participated in children's health and recreation facilities. Results: in the process of analyzing the survey data, it was found that for adolescent boys, regardless of age, in the exercise and sports, the existence of certain rules and boundaries is very important, which affects their interest and motivation. For girls, on the contrary, the existence of rules and boundaries is a factor that reduces the interest in physical exercises. The presence of emotional coloring and a variety of motor modes, on the contrary, stimulate girls' creativity and imagination, which leads to their enjoyment of motor activity. Conclusions: in the process of analyzing the survey data, the diversity and non-standard interests of adolescents in physical education and sports and the gender characteristics of their motivation were established. The identified need for the development of organizational and managerial technologies that will take into account the interests and motives of adolescents, with the aim of their active involvement in motor activity.

Purpose: to determine the effectiveness of the physical therapy program for obese patients by the dynamics of the components of the metabolic syndrome. Material & Methods: 214 people of the second adulthood with obesity I and II degree were examined. In terms of compliance, they were divided into a comparison group (low level) and a main group (high level). The control group consisted of 63 people without signs of obesity. The components of the metabolic syndrome were evaluated by anthropometric indicators (body mass index, waist and hip circumference, their ratio) and biochemical parameters (blood glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoproteins, leptin), and the visceral obesity index was calculated. The examination was carried out before and after the introduction of the annual program of physical therapy, which included maintaining a high level of compliance, increasing physical activity, changing the diet, reflexology, massage, and psychocorrection. Results: in all obese individuals were determined by abdominal obesity, fasting hyperglycemia and impaired glucose tolerance, high levels of total cholesterol, triglycerides, leptin, low levels of low-density lipoproteins. The visceral obesity index exceeded those of people with normal body weight (р<0,05). Compliance with the principles of the developed program made it possible to achieve a statistically significant (p<0,05) improvement relative to the initial indicators of all the studied parameters of the persons of the main group. Patients in the comparison group showed an increase in body mass index, a tendency to deteriorate atherogenic dyslipidemia and glucose uptake, a high content of leptin. Conclusions: as a result of the implementation of the developed program of physical therapy, a statistically significant improvement in the studied parameters of the metabolic syndrome in obese patients was compared with the initial result and the comparison group.

Purpose: definition of features and ways to improve the system of propaganda of non-Olympic sports in the city of Kharkiv. Material & Methods: during the research a set of scientific methods was used: Analysis of literary sources; Analysis of documentary materials; Analysis of Internet resources; System analysis; Organizational analysis; Survey (questionnaire), methods of mathematical statistics. In a study coaches and clients of fitness clubs in Kharkiv and students of Kharkiv sate academy of physical culture who are involved in non-Olympic sports (n=50) participated. Results: a system of propaganda of non-Olympic sports in the city of Kharkiv from the perspective of a systematic approach is characterized. Analyzed local promoter activity of management of the State's authority s in the sphere of physical culture and sport, the Federation and the other sports organizations of non-Olympic sports. The regional mass media have been identified, which cover information on non-Olympic sports. Organizational reserves are revealed. Conclusions: the propaganda system of non-Olympic sports in the city of Kharkiv is characterized by its singularities in use of existing forms and means of propaganda in the existing resource provision and in regional media. Directions of improving the system of propaganda of non-Olympic sports in the city of Kharkiv are offered.

The presented experimental data indicate that at all stages of the long-term training of freestyle wrestlers between the ages of 11–12 years old and 17–18 years old there are reliable relationships between the indicators of special and functional readiness. The greatest number of reliable relationships have tests on special preparedness – “rushing on the wrestler's bridge in 1 minute”, “coups on the wrestler's bridge in 1 minute”. The conducted studies confirm the reliably high interconnection of the components of special and functional preparedness when training adolescents and young men in wrestling. Separate components of these types of training change the information content depending on the stages of preparation, require changes in the total and selective amounts of training loads. Purpose: explore the relationship of the main components of the special and functional preparedness of adolescents and young men engaged in freestyle wrestling at different stages of many years of sports training. Material & Methods: the study is organized on the basis of the Olympic College of Ivan Poddubny with the participation of 90 athletes aged 11 to 18 years. In the course of the experiment, the following methods were used: theoretical analysis, synthesis of practical experience, pedagogical testing, pulsometry, reflexometry, heat measurement, mathematical statistics, correlation analysis. Results: the interrelation of special and functional preparedness of freestyle wrestlers from 11 to 18 years old, studying at different stages of sports training, is established. Conclusions: the study of the problem of the relationship of special and functional preparedness of freestyle wrestlers requires the development of an integrated methodology using the idea of a systems approach. At all stages of athletic training for teenagers and young men aged 11–12 years old to 17–18 years old engaged in freestyle wrestling, there are reliable relationships between the components of special and functional preparedness. According to the informativeness of these indicators vary from the stage of preparation, it requires changes in the volume of training loads of selective and general orientation.

Results: the scientific knowledge about modern model characteristics of a constitution and physical preparedness of the young swimmers specializing in various ways of swimming is added. Conclusion: obtained results can be recommended for use in the work of swimming coaches to improve the quality of selection and sports orientation of young athletes on the choice of swimming and assess their prospects.

Purpose: determine the weekly volume of motor activity of pupils of general education schools aged 15–16 in Lviv. Material & Methods: analysis of scientific and methodological literature, analysis and synthesis, determination of the volume of physical activity using technology FitnessTracker, methods of mathematical statistics. The study was attended by students of secondary schools No.45 and No. 54 (Lviv). For further processing, the results of the 26th boys and 25 girls were recorded. The total number of students was 51 people. Results: presents results of fixation of indicators of motor activity of children 15–16 years. The average number of steps that are carried out by students of this age on weekdays and weekends. Conclusions: it is established that on average, pupils of the specified age perform 7185,1 steps per day. This indicator is below the recommended standards for children of this age. Indicators of daily physical activity among children were higher than among women. It is established that the volume of physical activity of children 15–16 years old is 8,2% more on weekends compared with the same indicator on weekdays.

Purpose: to establish the most effective methods of monitoring and evaluating the current status of athletes, and on the basis of this, develop methods for remote monitoring of the current state of martial arts in the process of conducting a duel. Materials & Methods: videotapes of competitive fights of athletes participating in Ukrainian championships, world championships, and Olympic Games were used in the research. The methods used are: «high-speed video filming» a biomechanical analysis of the kinematic displacements of the total center of mass of an athlete and individual bio-kinematic parts of the body, followed by the determination of the dynamic efforts that ensure their movement, as well as the statistical stress that determines the availability of these efforts. Results & Conclusions: the use of modern technical video recording tools and computer equipment with appropriate programs for processing video sequences of performed movements and on the basis of established regularities of the flow of biodynamic efforts of competitive movements of martial sportsmen opens up broad possibilities for developing methods for remote contactless monitoring of the current status of athletes.

Purpose: to determine the effectiveness of kinesiotherapy on the quality of life of students with chronic bronchitis in the period of convalescence. Material & Methods: under our supervision there were 73 students aged 17–20 years old, who were divided into three groups. According to the demographic indicators, the groups studied were homogeneous by sex, age, height and weight. To determine the index of the quality of life of students, we used a theoretical analysis of the literature and the synthesis of scientific, methodological and special literature information; computer test program "Evaluation of the quality of your life". Results: when analyzing the results, we noticed that the students of gr. 1 and gr. 2 although they have an average QLI, however, the counting of answers indicates that the state of health of these young men is in a state of limitation. A comprehensive program of physical rehabilitation was drawn up taking into account two stages of the recovery period. Students gr. 1, from the first day, walking was prescribed on various health-normalizing modes with a combination of hand movements permutations. Students gr. 2 were engaged 3 times a week under the program of kinesiotherapy for special medical groups, gr. 3 were engaged in physical culture in accordance with the generally accepted program of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. After the application of the developed program, an increase in the quality of life of students of both groups was observed, respondents gr. 1 noted a decrease in fatigue, increased mobility, increased physical activity, thinking, and improved personal relationships. Students gr. 2 marked a trend of positive changes in the quality of life and health. Conclusion: confirmation of the effectiveness of the developed program was statistically significant changes in students gr. 1 who were engaged in this program. Students gr. 2 also showed a positive dynamics of QLI, but there were no statistically significant changes.

Purpose: to highlight the peculiarities of the use in terms of socio-historical practice of the terms and, accordingly, the concepts of "physical fitness", "wellness", "physical recreation", and to establish their connection with the general (consensus) definition of the concept of "physical culture". Material & Methods: are the analysis of special literature, which covers various aspects of the development of basic forms of social manifestation of physical culture, as well as a systematic and historiographical approach to the analysis of this problem. In the process of research, Google's online search service (Google Books Ngram Viewer) was used. Results: the materials obtained with the use of the Google Books Ngram Viewer search engine indicate that the active use of the terms "physical recreation" and "physical fitness" began at the turn of the 20th century almost synchronously, however, the growth rate of the use of the term "physical fitness "were significantly higher. The term "physical recreation" in english-language publications in the relevant segments of the historical period studied is relatively rare in comparison with the frequency of use of the terms "physical fitness", "wellness" and "physical culture". The materials obtained from the use of this system also showed that in the german-language printed publications, the phrase "physical recreation" does not occur while the words "physical" and "recreation", as separate language classes, are widely used. Similar features also appear in the publications printed in French, Spanish and Italian. Conclusions: a comparative analysis of the obtained materials suggests that physical recreation is considered in English practice as an important factor in the physical health of a person and his active longevity, as well as a significant factor in solving the problems of youth. This term began to be used in English-language practice for the name of one of the areas of leisure activities of the working and middle classes, as well as of students as a special social-demographic group. The analysis shows that by this time a holistic notion about the subject and subject area of physical recreation has not yet been formed, that the concept of "physical recreation" is rather vague, vague and contradictory.

Purpose: o study in the age aspect structural changes of the lumbar intervertebral discs and adjacent structures of the spine of rats with limited motor activity to determine the patterns of their restructuring under conditions of experimental hypokinesia. Material & Methods: study was performed in an experiment on male Wistar rats of different ages. The hypokinesia regimen was achieved by keeping animals in small cells, which restricted movement. The research methods included morphometry, macro- and microscopy, standard histology methods with hematoxylin-eosin and picrofuchsin staining according to Van Gieson, as well as statistical analysis of the data were obtained. Results: it is determined that the restriction of mobility contributed to the change of all parts of the vertebral motor segment. The shape and linear dimensions of the intervertebral discs change, the level of its diffuse feeding from the vertebral bodies decreases. Conclusions: it has been established that the absence of mechanical stimulation of intervertebral disks, in the mode of experimental hypokinesia, reduces the level of metabolism in cells, inhibits the processes of adaptive tissue remodeling and contributes to the disruption of intact structures.

Purpose: to determine the features of technical and tactical actions of highly skilled athletes when swimming a distance of 100 meters by front crawl. Material & Methods: analysis and generalization of literary sources, video filming, timekeeping, methods of mathematical statistics. The contingent of subjects consisted of athletes who specialized in a distance of 100 meters in the way of swimming the front crawl and had the level of sports qualification master of sports of Ukraine, master of sports of international grade. Results: dynamics of indicators of technical and tactical skill among highly skilled athletes during their overcoming the 100 meter distance by front crawl has been investigated; characterized by the variability of technical and tactical actions of highly skilled athletes in different parts of the competition distance of 100 meters; determined the degree of influence of speed, pace and "step" of the cycle of rowing movements on the result of swimming a distance of 100 meters using the front crawl. Conclusion: overcoming the distance of 100 meters by the front crawl has its own specifics, which is reflected in changes in the indicators of technical and tactical masterhood; model characteristics of the most influential parameters of technical and tactical actions of highly skilled swimmers can serve as a guideline for improving the training process of athletes depending on their distance specialization.

Purpose: to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of methods for improving the culture of young gymnasts performing competitive compositions through the use of non-traditional means of training in the training process. Material & Methods: the study involved 12 athletes 8-10 years old engaged in artistic gymnastics. To solve the set tasks, methods characteristic of theoretical and applied research in the field of physical education and sport were used. The analysis of literary sources is carried out to identify the features of the use of auxiliary (non-traditional) means in the process of forming the culture of movements of young gymnasts. Pedagogical methods (testing, experiment) were used to assess the level of formation of a culture of movements in young athletes based on an assessment of the manifestation of their coordination abilities. The methods of mathematical statistics were used to process the experimental material and assess the reliability of the data obtained. Result: according to the results of the study, it was revealed that the use of auxiliary (non-traditional) means in the training process of young gymnasts contributed not only to the active development of coordination of their movements (orientation in space and time, stability to balance, etc.), but also allowed the level of culture of the performance of the basic elements of competitive compositions by them, had a positive impact on the results of their competitive activity. Conclusions: the results of the whole complex of the conducted studies testify the effectiveness of the technique of increasing the culture of movements in young gymnasts by using nontraditional means in the training process.

The article analyzes the competitiveness of non-Olympic sports in Kharkiv. A mechanism for the formation of competitiveness non-Olympic sports are proposed. Purpose: develop a mechanism for the formation of competitiveness of non-Olympic sports. Material & Methods: analysis of literary sources and documents, questioning, organizational modeling, methods of marketing analysis (SWOT-analysis), expert assessment, methods of mathematical statistics. The research was conducted in 5 sports schools in Kharkiv, where non-Olympic sports are cultivated. In total, 136 people participated in the study. The composition of the respondents included: directors, deputy directors, methodologists, trainers. Results: on the basis of marketing analysis, the mechanism of formation of competitiveness of non-Olympic sports was revealed. Conclusions: as a result of the study, information on the formation of the competitiveness mechanism for non-Olympic sports has been summarized. A competitiveness mechanism was developed for non-Olympic sports and the effectiveness of the developed mechanism was confirmed using the method of expert assessments

Purpose: to determine the organizational and managerial conditions for creating sports arbitration in Ukraine. Material & Methods: method of theoretical analysis and generalization of literary sources, which made it possible to determine the state of study of the problem under study; method for analyzing documentary materials, which made it possible to characterize the problem field of creating sports arbitration in Ukraine; method of historicism, which allowed to consider the emergence and characteristics of sports arbitration; methods of analogy of the studied laws and system analysis allowed creating a theoretical basis for substantiating the organizational and legal conditions for creating sports arbitration in Ukraine. Results: the organizational and legal conditions for creating sports arbitration in Ukraine were determined and substantiated, in particular: the place of sports arbitration in the judicial system, the form of activity, legal status, roles, advantages, regulatory framework, founder, name of sports arbitration, and others. Conclusions: it was found that the creation of a single sports arbitration, whose competence will include the resolution of various conflicts relating to the sphere of physical culture and sports, is an urgent need. It has been established that for the qualified resolution of sports disputes, we need both lawyers specializing in the field of sports legal support, as well as sports officials, managers, coaches, that is, specialists who are well-versed in the field of physical culture and sports.

Purpose: muscle contraction has both mechanical to produce movement and metabolic properties to produce energy. However, manipulation of strength training planes (horizontal or vertical) subject to be an important training strategy to develop soccer-specific power-based actions. Depending on mode of exercise and more important the energy demands. Material & Methods: this cross-sectional study was conducted to inspect the relation between power strength and anaerobic power index, proper to mode of exercise (vertical vs horizontal) among young soccer elite players. To achieve this goal, we based on anaerobic capacity repeat sprint test power index for103 male players with mean age (18.55±0.48) years, involved in the Oran league competition division one. In addition to their strength in Vertical Jump (VJ) and Standing Long Jump Test (SLJ), conducted in the Omni sports complex of the institute physical education and sport Chlef. Results: significant inverse correlations record between power strength and anaerobic power index in all comparisons practised. Support by the index of Max power anaerobic and fatigue as super predictors of players performance in horizontal plane. The opposite of vertical plane where the index of fatigue and Min power anaerobic are the super predictors. Conclusions: our results confirmed that to have a clear picture of the effect of strength training on physical performance. Trainers must take in their consideration, the mode of exercise and their energy index power demands affirmed in present via the development of max power anaerobic to enhance not only minimal but also the index of fatigue requiring the good developments of neuromuscular function, in which max power anaerobic levels play a big part in maximizing scores not only in vertical plane but also in horizontal jump.

Purpose: investigate changes in the indicators of the physical condition of students under the influence of classes in sports sections. Material & Methods: to solve the purpose, the following research methods were used: analysis and synthesis of references, methods for determining the functional state of the body, methods for assessing the level of physical health (using the methodology of G. L. Apanasenko), methods for determining motor activity, methods of mathematical statistics. The study involved 50 students of Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University Severodonetsk. Results: it was found that under the influence of classes in the sports sections of martial arts, the greatest improvement in physical condition indicators was observed. In the experimental groups (in martial arts and athletics) a greater positive trend was recorded than in the control group. An analysis of the practice of martial arts for indicators of the physical condition of students allows us to state that a marked optimization of the work of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems was noted. The positive effect of sectional athletics on physical condition indicators, especially on speed, was recorded. The study confirmed the feasibility of using sectional classes in martial arts and athletics with students. Conclusions: experimental materials presented in this study allowed us to state the pronounced positive effect of classes in athletics and martial arts sports sections on physical condition indicators, namely, on the functional state, level of physical performance and physical health of boys and girls aged 17–18. The most pronounced differences are observed in the indices of Rufe, Stange, Genchi, who significantly (p<0.01 (EG-1), p<0.001 (EG-2)) improved in both experimental groups.
