The article is aimed at actualization of the potential of the institutional methodology in order to develop the effective economic policies in Ukraine, taking into account best current practices from scientists, belonging to the institutional school of economic thought, as well as the allied schools, in particular, schools of the mental-psychological, synergistic and general-methodological directions. An analysis of the contemporary realities of the socio-economic development of Ukraine confirms the usefulness and relevance of inclusion into the scope of the objects for institutional analysis of such phenomena as human mentality and human views. Understanding the institutional properties of mentality enables to identify different mental models, organize and study them, estimate the grade of their prevalence in society as well as the plausibility of domination of certain among them. Further on, considering the sensitivity of the human psyche to the external influences, in particular, perception of stereotypes that appear in mass media, it will be entirely justified to develop and implement special economic policy tools, which means applying positive manipulative information technologies aimed at overcoming the archaic views and elaborating the contemporary adequate mental constructions in the public mind, directed towards stimulating both the economic activity and initiative

The article is aimed to define the features of both functioning and macro�economic management of enterprises in the State economic sector as well as substantiate on this basis objectives for its modernization. The contem�porary characteristics of the State economic sector have been analyzed, which has led to concluding that it plays an important role in ensuring com�petitiveness of the national economy, has the national and strategic impor�tance to the economy and national security. The State sector share in the GDP of Ukraine has been analyzed, the topic of an optimal balance between private and public property has been considered. Special attention is paid to the development trends of the State sector in the economy of Ukraine. The article is aimed at studying the influence of the resource orientation of the export and import economy components on the level of interregional differentiation in the socio-economic development of Ukraine. The method�ological basis of the study is the Sachs-Warner model, whose key position in�dicates a negative relationship between the proportion of valuable minerals in the structure of national exports and the economic growth in the country (the so called phenomenon of «resource curse»). Modified within the present study, the Sachs-Warner model provides an analysis of impact of the share of mineral resources within the structure of the national exports and imports on the level of interregional differentiation in terms of GRP, GRP per capita, avail�able income, wages, money incomes and expenditures of households. In ad�dition, the methodology of the study involves an analysis of the interregional measuring of impact of the proportion of exported and imported minerals on the specified indicators of the socio-economic development of the regions of Ukraine. The results of the study indicate that the proportion of minerals in the structure of the national export reduces the interregional differentiation at the level of available income and deepens it at the level of both wages and capital expenditures, the share of imported minerals reduces the differ�entiation at the level of GRP and GRP per capita. Synthesis of the results of the analysis of the interregional phenomenon of «resource curse» suggests a different nature of the relationship between the resource component of the regional exports and imports and the socio-economic development of the regions of Ukraine.

The article is aimed at an actual problem of development of the automobile production in the world markets. Importance of the global automobile indus�try, which has a significant impact on the gross domestic product of the world countries, has been proved. Dynamics of the world production of passenger cars over the past ten years has been analyzed. It has been determined that there are significant fluctuations in automobile production in the leading countries of the world against the background of the world financial crises. The leading automobile companies have been identified, which are concen�trated mainly in Europe, America and Asia. Ratings of the countries, which are leading in terms of amounts of automobile production, have been deter�mined. It has been specified that, over the past four years, the automobile companies in China provoked competition against the automobile giants and exceed them in terms of production. An analytical study of the dynamics of passenger car production by the regions of the world has been conducted. Amounts of passenger car sales in the countries both with developed and with developing economies have been studied. A high level of cooperation between the world automobile concerns as well as importance of the coop�erative networks in the automobile producing have been notified.

The article is aimed to study the theoretical-methodological framework for es�timation of efficiency of currency interventions by the Central Bank and analyze the efficiency of interventions by the National Bank of Ukraine. Basis of the study are the scientific publications by both Ukrainian and foreign authors (first and foremost by specialists of the International Monetary Fund as well as the World Bank). Results of a critical review of the specialized literature suggest applying in the world practice three basic criteria of efficiency of currency interventions by the Central Bank: «direction», «smoothing» and «reversal». The author was offered an additional criterion of «compensation» in order to improve the shortcomings of the other criteria. Based on this criterion, an analyzis of effectiveness of currency interventions in the foreign exchange market of Ukraine has been conducted, which led to the conclusion of a low level of efficiency of such activities. The pur�poses of the future researches are found in the area of finding and implement�ing ways to improve the mechanism for implementing by the National Bank of Ukraine currency interventions at the internal currency market of the country. The practical value of this research work is determined by the need of a scientific sub�stantiation of currency interventions during the transition to a market-based ex�change rate. The article is aimed at studying competitiveness of managerial staff on the basis of personal and business qualities. Theoretical and methodical provi�sions, as well as practical recommendations on the estimation of competitive�ness of managerial staff on the basis of psychological diagnostic analysis of personal characteristics were considered. Results of the study were analyzed from the perspective of gender differences between men and women in man�agement. The main objectives of the studying were choice of personal quali�ties that characterize a successful leader-manager, determination of their weighing coefficients and conducting a psychological diagnostic analysis. A statistical processing of the results has been accomplished. Tests were carried out targeting intellectual abilities of men and women while using two tests. The first test served to determine individual's mental agility, the second test examined logic, mental processing, consistency of thinking. The presented results of research will allow to staff the contemporary enterprises with managerial personnel regardless of the psychological, physiological and biological gender differences of individuals. Further accumulation of empiri�cal material will refine the results and make adjustments to assessment of competitiveness of managerial staff, taking into consideration gender differ�ences and other gender forms

The article researches one of the methods for profit management – «CVP analysis». The article mainly focuses on the development of theoretical and practical recommendations that provide lightening to the practical use of the CVP analysis tools by domestic enterprises. With this aim features of the indi�cated tool for costs controlling have been disclosed, issues for its use in practi�cal activities of enterprises have been identified. In order to overcome certain limitations in using CVP analysis, as well as to improve its efficiency, has been proposed to apply the managerial approach to this tool, which differs from the traditional approach by the process of fixed costs allocation as for product kinds. Also, as an alternative to the traditional approach to CVP analysis, the article proposes the use of process-oriented method, which is based on using different cost drivers for the allocation of fixed costs. In connection with this a modified formula for determining the break-even point according to process�oriented approach to CVP analysis has been proposed. Use of this tool should be a challenge for the contemporary scholars and practitioners as well as an impetus for its further modifications to increase the adaptability of the method and its adaptivity to economic realities
