The author states that the future educator and teacher who prepares him for professional work already during the period of study should realize that the teacher is the bearer and translator of culture (general, professional, national, personal, culture of communication, etc.). According to the author's conviction, the cultural personality of the teacher is impossible without developed artistic needs, without the need for domestic or world literature and its best samples.
In the light of the indicated subject matter, which is at the intersection of various fields of knowledge, this time attention was drawn to the definitions of the concepts "culture of personality", "cultural personality", "personal culture"; to the research of modern scholars who consider education as a "cultural fact", upbringing as a "process of humancreation, culturecreation, spiritualitycreation", and aesthetic education as one of the universal aspects of culture of personality..
The author continues to insist on the artistic component in the formation of the cultural personality of the teacher, singling out belles-lettres as a powerful tool in this process, which forms and develops both language, and will, and feelings, and mind, and consequently, the worldview of the personality. At the same time, literature contributes to the moral perfection of the personality and pupil, and educator. Therefore, it is emphasized that one should not exclude upbringing from the student's life, in general, and artistic and aesthetic upbringing, in particular, turning this life exclusively into a narrowly directed scientific and professional community, which, unfortunately, is observed today. It is a proven fact that the sensory sphere is better educated by the art, and consequently, aesthetic upbringing better fulfils both the function of developing the emotional and sensory sphere, and the function of shaping artistic needs.
Defining the artistic need as a major spiritual need, contributing to the formation of the whole world of the whole person, the essence of which is expressed in a stable manifestation of artistic and creative activity, striving for it, the creative component of the artistic need is singled out separately. Considering creativity as a "basic human need", it is emphasized that the very stable artistic need functions as a need for creativity.
