It presents a tentative body of ideas that tries to give account of the sociohistorical and cultural plots associated to the rock art of the geohistoric region of the Lake of Valencia during the Venezuelan Precolonial period. Using mainly theoretical foundations and data emanating from the archaeological discipline, some methodological proposals are presented for the study of these materials, as well as approximations about their interpretation, production and use. With this, it is intended to pave the way for future research experiences, which allow with greater evidence the understanding of this expression of aboriginal creative art.

The internal conformation of the dental system is analyzed in the population samples: colonial era (XVI-XIX centuries) and contemporary. The objective is to analyze the internal option in second premolars and first and second lower molars. The morphometry was based on the generalized analysis of Purposes for the design and the differences in size and conformation or silhouette of the selected teeth. Statistically significant differences were observed in the conformation of the second lower premolars between the populations. In relation to the first lower points, the statistically significant differences are not observed in the isometric size or in the conformation or silhouette. The present work addresses the problematic of the identity construction of musical groups composed of indigenous youth who are revitalizing their culture, and therefore their language, through music from the moment of preserving and merging the elements of culture with modernity. The work of revitalization manifests the concern of the agents who, with their music proposals such as rock, ska, punk metal, among others, allow glimpsing the social reality in which the original peoples are submerged.

Between 2011 and 2013, the Archaeological Research and Rescue Program associated with the construction of the Tocoma Reservoir was executed within the framework of the Manuel Píar Hydroelectric Project in the municipality of Angostura, Bolivar state. The present work presents the results of the archaeological investigations carried out at the El Esfuerzo and La Mesa sites, located on the Eastern Coast of Lake Maracaibo, Santa Rita and Cabimas municipalities in the Zulia-Venezuela state. The excavations were carried out in two historically and culturally related necropolis with the Kaketío, a speaking Arawako people who produced a ceramic type and a mortuary practice associated with the Dabajuro Tradition archaeologically referenced for a wide territory of the northwestern Venezuelan.

During the classification of ceramic material or for the characterization of productions not studied, the macroscopic study of pasta is one of the fundamental aspects.
