A field experiment was conducted at Udaipur (Rajasthan), to find out the effective weed and nutrient management practice, in coriander. Amongst eight weed species identified, only Chenopodium murale L, Spergula arvensis L. and Melilotus indica was found, the most dominate. Two HW at 30 and 45 days after sowing and pendimethalin 1.0 kg/ha + HW at 45 DAS were found superior over rest of the treatments with respect to control of density of all weeds and coriander seed yield. For the control of Spergula arvensis population, Two HW at 30 and 45 days after sowing stands the best practice of weed management, in coriander. Application of metribuzin 0.30 kg/ ha at pre-emergence was found least effective, in the control of various weeds and improving coriander seed yield, compared to other treatments under test. Nutrient management involving N+P+K+S application, though enhanced density of all weeds, as compared to N+P and N+P+K application, but the difference was found statistically non significant. The balanced fertilization, significantly increased the seed yield of coriander with the maximum peak at 60 kg N+ 30 kg P + 30 kg K + 30kg S/ha.

Indian agriculture has immense scope in sustaining the livelihood of millions of farmers. Being a diverse ecological and socially background country, India is lagging behind the developed countries in agriculture sectors. To manage all the knowledge available in public, as well as private domain, it needs to integrate and make it accessible to all the stakeholders of agriculture, especially farmers. As a suggestive and curative method knowledge management can be a useful way to integrate all the knowledge. Knowledge management is basically about acquiring and storing knowledge and providing better access of right knowledge to the right person at the right time. In current changing scenario knowledge viewed as important input for agriculture which should be localised, context and content based. The present paper reviews the knowledge management process and knowledge management initiatives in organisation, agriculture and allied sectors.

Welfare is comfortable living and working conditions. Employee welfare means, the efforts to make life worth living for workman. Welfare is comfortable living and working conditions. People are the most important asset of an organization, and the accounting profession has to assess and record the value and cost of people of an organization. Once this is accepted, the need for measuring the value for recording it in the books of accounts arises. The value of human assets can be increased substantially by making investment in their training and welfare activities in the same way as the value of repairs/overhauling, etc. While the cost on training, development, etc., can be recorded separately and to be within the eventual, the expenditure on welfare activities can be added to the investment and the returns judged. Unlike other assets which have depreciation value as year passes by value of human assets appreciates with passing years. The value can depreciate by aging process which is generally hastened up by worries, unhealthy conditions, etc. once this process is slowed down, or at least if the employee is made to feel young in spirits.

Today critical thinking (CT) is the cornerstone of higher education. Traditional teaching techniques, which promote mostly memorization, do not help nursing students think critically and solve problems in the clinical setting. The traditional nursing care plan needs to be replaced with evidenced-based methods of improving critical thinking skills of nursing students. The aim of this study was, to evaluate the effect of concept mapping, on critical thinking skills of baccalaureate nursing students. A quazi-experimental control group study with a pretest and posttest design was used on a convenient sample of 60 students in a selected Nursing Faculty in Cairo-Egypt. Two tools were used in this study: self-administered questionnaire and pre-post test of California Critical Thinking Skills Test (CCTST), modified Arabic version were used. A pre-test was given to the two groups, to determine the baseline category of critical thinking skills. Post-test was given to the two groups at the end of the study after introducing intervention (concept mapping) to the experimental group. The study results revealed a highly statistical significant difference, in the pretest- post-test CT mean scores in the experimental group, with t value of =5.106 at P value =0.000 and the overall mean critical thinking post-test score was statistically significant, between the two groups with t value of 6.571 at P value of 0.000. It can be concluded that, students who were taught with concept mapping showed an increase in their CT scores, than those in the control group and thus, supported the study hypotheses. Nursing students require effective CT skills, in order to make sound knowledge-based assessment and treatment choices during patient care, so the researcher recommended further studies to examine the potential for concept mapping to be taught in pre-requisite courses, as a way to begin learning to critically think prior to their entry into the program.

Fecal incontinence (FI) is defined as, inability to control bowel movements, causing feces to leak unexpectedly from the rectum. Bowel training program (BTP), is an ongoing process that is responsive to children and their family needs. The aim of the current study was, to investigate the effect of bowel training program on bowel continence, among children with fecal incontinence. One group pre-post quasi-experimental research design was utilized, to fit the aim of the study. The study was conducted in pediatric colorectal clinics, at Cairo University’s Specialized Pediatric Hospital. A purposive sample of 35 children with FI was included in the study. Data were collected using the following tools: structured interview questionnaire, and the Wexner Continence Score, was developed by Jorge and Wexner (1993), this scale used to assess and evaluate the child’s bowel movement habits and bowel control. The study results revealed that, the majority of children in the study group had lower Wexner continence mean scores, after implementation of BTP and there were statistically significant differences between children, as regards to the total mean score of Wexner continence, before and after the implementation of BTP. The study results concluded that, the BTP was effective in improving the continence abilities of children with fecal incontinence, as well as assist in regulation of the time of bowel elimination, among those children.

The present study aimed at, evaluating the effect of emotional intelligence enhancement program, on suicidal ideation among attempted suicide adolescents. Quasi- experimental research design was used. Convenient sample consisted of 36 suicidal adolescents; recruited from Poison Control Center, Cairo University. Data were collected through using; the socio demographic sheet, Beck Depression and Suicidal Inventory BDI-II, Bar chard emotional intelligence scale, and Life Stressors questionnaire. Results revealed that, the family problems were the most prominent stressors. There was positive correlation between depression and suicidal ideation, while there was no significant correlation between emotional intelligence and either suicide ideation, or depression. In conclusion, the program improved depression, suicidal ideation and emotional intelligence. It is recommended that emotional intelligence enhancement programs should be implemented as preventive measure at secondary schools and counseling centers should be established at all schools.

During the present study, odonatan diversity of Palakmati stream was evaluated, using Shannon-Weiner diversity index and Margalef’s richness index. Within a 100 m transect, encircling the variety of habitats, odonates were sampled from all the major habitats. A total of 11 species, belonging to 6 families of odonates were recorded, during the study. It was observed during the investigation that, aquatic vegetation forms the favorable habitat for odonates, while it gets negatively affected by the limited shade cover and less riparian vegetation, along the stream banks. During the present survey, low species diversity and richness of odonates were observed in Palakmati stream, possibly due to limited shade cover.
