Comparative Study of Sintered Spur Gear for Both Standard and Profile Corrected Tooth

Gears have been used throughout history for various purposes gearing is one of the most effective methods transmitting power and rotary motion from the source to its application with or without change of speed or direction. The rapid development of heavy industries such as vehicle, shipbuilding and aircraft industries in recent decades require advanced application of gear technology. The modeling of a sintered spur gear for both standard and profile corrected tooth. After making model from C programming is then imported to an analysis software ANSYS for carrying out the static analysis. Finally the comparisons for stress is carried out for both the standard sintered spur gear and profile corrected sintered spur gear. The interference for the profile corrected sintered spur gear was considerably less as compared to the standard sintered spur gear.

To successfully compete in today's global market, the need of rapid product development reducing the lead-time between the designs of the product to its arrival in the market is increasing day by day. Moreover the market demands are changing fast. To respond to fast changes in demands, development of new innovative products is required which requires several sophisticated manufacturing processes. New machining processes are required to machine the advanced difficult-to-machine materials that are replacing the conventional materials at a very fast rate. Recently, a new trend has been introduced to combine the features of different machining processes. Such machining processes are called as Hybrid Machining Processes (HMPs). Electro-Chemical Spark Machining (ECSM) is an evolving advanced hybrid machining process comprising the techniques of electrochemical machining (ECM) and electro discharge machining (EDM). ECSM is useful for both conducting and non-conducting materials. ECSM is a hybrid process, where the material removal is achieved by thermal and chemical processes. In this work, an experiment on machining of glass with ECSM with different tool materials was conducted. A detailed study was also conducted to find out the influence of different machining parameters on the ECSM machining of glass and developed a mathematical model of the same.

Power losses are major problem in present Power System. It increases rapidly in day by day. Flexible Alternative Controllers in Power Systems (FACTS) are used to solve various active and reactive power problems. Flexible Alternative Controllers in Power System provides regulate power flow in critical lines. Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC) is the fast advancement in thyristor devices and associated switching control technology, the Capacitance of the series capacitance bank can be controlled much more effectively. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is a heuristic global optimization method and also an optimization algorithm, which is based on swarm intelligence. This paper presents in Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) compared with genetic algorithm. The suggested algorithm has been applied to IEEE-30 bus system.

In this paper, a TRANSLUCENT CONCRETE - novel construction material was manufactured with OPTICAL FIBRE by drilling through the cement and mortar in order to utilize the light guiding ability of OPTICAL FIBRE. The main purpose was to use sunlight as a light source in order to reduce the power consumption of illumination. Experiments to study the mechanical performance of the concrete infused with OPTICAL FIBRE were carried out.

Work has become an indispensable part of the everyday life of males and females, in which they spend more than one third of their life at their work place. Hence, the eminence and importance of Quality of Work-Life (QWL) is unparalleled and unquestionable. A high QWL is related to job satisfaction, which in turn is a strong predictor of absenteeism and turnover. In the present study, the researcher has chosen the Information Technology companies in Chennai and based on the interview with the employees in the organization, a pilot study was conducted with the respondents in the total sample (N = 150). The factors contribute to quality of work-life that includes Stress at work, Work-Life Balance, Job Security, Social Integration in the workplace, Management Policies and Communication at the work place. This article focuses on the factors affecting Quality of Work-Life (QWL) of the employees in the Information Technology companies and examines the significant difference between male and female employees’ perception over Quality of Work-Life (QWL) and offers suggestions to improve the work- life of the employees in the Information Technology companies. It is clear from this study that compare to male, female employees are greatly affected in the Quality of work –life factors such as stress, Social integration and communication at the work place.
