Writing constitutes one of the main skills that second language learners find difficulty in. One area they find difficult in the process of writing compositions is the correct use of capital letters. This study is an attempt to describe the common errors that pupils commit in the use of capitalisation in written texts. Since the use of capital letters constitutes an important area in the overall assessment of pupils’ written texts, this study provided necessary information to guide teachers of Language Arts in preparing pupils for writing tasks. The main objective therefore was to categorise and determine the extent to which errors are committed by Junior Secondary School pupils. In order to obtain data for this study, three Junior Secondary Schools were selected in the Bo Municipality. Fifty pupils were randomly selected from each of the three schools, comprising twenty-five from JSS 2 and twenty-five from JSS 3. This gave a total of one hundred and fifty pupils in all. The pupils were given a task to write a composition of at least one hundred and fifty words under normal examination conditions. The study revealed that pupils had generally not understood the rule involved in the use of capital letters. The areas where errors were more prominent involved proper nouns, beginning of a sentence, poor background knowledge of letter shapes, overgeneralisation and not capitalising the first word in the closing of a letter.

This study aims to analyze: 1) family support for the elderly in Jambi Province; 2) the quality of life and subjective well-being of the elderly; 3) the influence of socio-economic factors and family support on the quality of life and welfare of the elderly in Jambi Province.The data used is primary data based on interviews with selected elderly respondents. Family support, quality of life and subjective well-being of the elderly were measured quantitatively using a Likert scale and they were analyzed descriptively. The influence of socioeconomic factors and family support on the quality of life and welfare of the elderly were analyzed using structural equation modeling partial least square (SEM-PLS). The study found that: 1) Family support for elderly people in Jambi Province is relatively good. The dominant type of support is appreciation/recognition support while the lowest support is financial support; 2) The quality of life of the elderly in Jambi Province is relatively good. Social relationships quality has the highest quality score, while psychological quality has the lowest quality score; 3) Socio-economic characteristics of elderly families and the characteristics of elderly individuals have a significant effect on family support for the elderly. The quality of life of the elderly is directly influenced by family support. Furthermore, the elderly welfare is directly influenced by the quality of life of the elderly, family support and dan characteristics of elderly individuals.

Academic self-concept is the crucial part of the educational adjustments of adolescents. Thus this paper aims to assess the academic self-concept via gender of adolescents. For this purpose, researcher employed the post positivist philosophy with cross sectional survey design. The data was gathered through self-administered questionnaire from the 74 adolescents. This numbers of adolescent were randomly assigned from 95 adolescents according to the Wolff and Pant’s guidelines. After this, the researcher adopted both descriptive and Chi square test to analyze the results. This study revealed that the adolescents’ exhibit the elevated level of academic self-concept where their peer groups, teachers, school and families also make contribution. Likewise, gender makes significant effects in academic self-concept and exam results among adolescent. Finally, the academic self-concept makes sure about the well educational adjustment among adolescents and further promotes their successful career in near future.

Self-care is a dynamic decision to take an interest in the activities that are known to build general physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual well-being, improving inspiration, struggle for ideal wellbeing with support to change the way of life to move toward a condition of ideal wellbeing. Cross-sectional descriptive research design was used to conduct the study. Sample (n=133) was taken from nursing institutes by using convenient sampling. 5 point Likert scale base self-administered questionnaire was used for the collection of data. Data was analyzed by using SPSS version 21. Ethical clearance was obtained before research. One sample T test was applied. Nursing students have positive self-care habits as P value regarding self-care habits is significance (p=.000). The study of self-care practices is an important component of health promotion and disease prevention . Students have positive self-care habits related to health.It is clear stated that nursing students have adequate knowledge about self-care habits.

Background: The performance of student play important role to quality education which produce quality graduates .So they took part in development of the country and become leader of that county, They are the backbone of their country (Feenberg, 2012). Most of the students do not make themselves attentive in subject duo to same reason like, school related issues, un-confident and unskilled teachers, insufficient services, and non-availability of instructional materials. Non-school issues involve poverty, low instructive fulfillment and lack of education of guardians and weakness and nutrition (Farooq, Chaudhry, Shafiq, & Berhanu, 2011). Objective: To determine the factors that affects the academic performance of students of Lahore school of Nursing, The University of Lahore, Pakistan. Methodology: A descriptive Cross-sectional Study Students of Lahore School of Nursing, the University of Lahore. Convenient sampling Technique was use for data collection. Participants who are enrolled in BSN (Generic and Post RN), Age was 18 years to 45years, Both Male and Female, married and unmarried students was including. except BSN (Post-RN) and BSN (Generic) was exclude for data collection Result: Gender of the participant has negative association with Education of participant as sig value is .000 and -.397. Gender of the participant has association with Marital status and has weak correlation as sig is .159 and r value is .123. Gender of the participant has association with student related factor and has negative correlation as sig is .397 and r value is -.074. Conclusion: In this study conclude that, most of the common contribution factors that affect academic performance of nursing students were related to teacher factor, student factor, home factor, school factors, significantly affect the academic performance of the nursing students.
