The article purports to analyze social responsibility (RS) in autonomous public universities from the perspective of academic substance and transforming mission that universities have with respect to the society in which they interact. The research was conducted under a qualitative ethnographic paradigm applied to the universities of La Guajira in Colombia and Zulia in Venezuela. Theories glimpse that universities have in essence the comprehensive training of competent professionals, they can respond creatively to different situations giving an added value for the companies where they work. However, it is not reflected that this reflected the (RSU) as a way of being and living in society, which has an impact on all areas of the university mission, which should be implicit and explicit in their actions. As conclusions of the study, three proposals required to implement (RSU) are presented: Strengthening SR Social Actions Supporting Public Universities in Autonomous; steps for the implementation of socially responsible actions to Watch Model and Strategic Thinking from the university socially responsible.

This paper analyzes the survival of the industrial firms of Medellin created between 2000 and 2010. The likelihood of survival is calculated based on company size at birth, according to the type of company or legal form as well as by industry sectors. Small, medium and large companies enjoy higher relative survival rates, while micro find it more difficult to continue in business. On the other hand, the results establish that the innovation and investment improve survival of new businesses. Likewise, the initial phase of the life cycle of the industry favors the entry of firms rather than itsoutput, while in those who are in their mature or declining phase outputs exceed inputs. Also, it is found that the regional aspects are crucial to the survival of businesses.

A research project was conducted ‒funded by the Central Committee of Research of the University of Tolima‒ for analyzing the adopted strategies by two organizations and the positive and negative impacts that they generated in business life: In order to select the companies that must be studied, was established it would apply a method of expert people of the region, with deep knowledge about the topic. This paper question is: ¿how to select those companies using the more objective possible way? To answer it the consensus panel (expert) technique, was developed; it is explained not only its development view but the obtained results. It is theoretically supported on the issues of business history, strategy and on the conceptualization about consensus panel. The main conclusion is the consensus panel is an appropriate tool for using with management teams, whose characteristics are the knowledge and expertise in the business sector, the realization of their contributions and the set time for their activities. To the future, it is important the technique application in similar exercises for any kind of research project.

This article presents the results obtained in 2011 and 2014, showing the evolution that has taken the civic culture of the municipality of Ciénaga, Magdalena, through four modules that develop topics such as coexistence, the tax culture, citizen participation, use of public spaces, among others; with a view to making changes in the behavior of citizens in the municipality and thereby pose a public-education aimed at strengthening citizen potential political culture.

This paper deals with poverty and inequality tendencies in Colombia in order to establish the decisive factors in their variation, both measuring and decreasing of this problematic depends of many factors. Taking real enterprise cases, private intervention through social responsibility and checking statistics of social state expenditure, it is proposed to establish the incidence of these kinds of interventions in the positive variations of poverty and inequality figures in Colombia, the limitations of state policies and the following course of social responsibility. These references is to study the mechanism which can affect in a strong way in the decreasing of poverty and inequality and increasing of life level of population. The methodology used was a documentary revision of specialized bibliography.

The article presents the study of a phenomenon of corporate life from the description of the organizational culture in three organizations educational character in the city of Santa Marta - Colombia, whose objective was guided to describe the organizational culture, where it is possible to show different dynamics as part of the operation and relationships in terms of the context in which institutions develop. This is a qualitative study on the methodological perspective of phenomenology, transversal, a sample of 30 people (teachers and administrative staff of the body), selected from a convenience sample. Information from the use of the technique of focus groups was collected, and an instrument of information gathering semi-structured interview. It was found that; these institutions, are within a culture elemental level (Level 1) which is the results to according to Schein (1988) the lack of integration and the introduction of basic presumptions a basic level of stability achieve solutions to several basic alternatives.

This article titled Challenges of Agricultural Marketing of Pymes Grown and Marketed Aji Topito in the Municipality of Galapa 2015, was conducted in the first half of 2014, in the town of Galapa, Department of the Atlántico, the study was quantitative, descriptive, not experimental, transversal, we worked with a population of 150 farmers, with a confidence level of 95 %, a margin of error of 5 %; values of p and q by pilot 50 % test, resulting in a sample of 72. For this study, detailed analysis of the activity of Aji Topito crops were conducted using surveys, interviews and workshops, using group work methodologies and performing analysis correct. Sought was to implement and learn a detailed knowledge both productive and commercial process of these microentrepreneurs and growers Ají Topito in order to meet the capacity and economic and social development of this form of market in the town. was analyzed the factors involved in the efficiency, local intervention, rural area production, administrative interests, the difficult conditions in which farmers work, opportunistic traders who economically pay much less than the cost of the product. The study concluded that the lack of strengthening the productive chain Aji Topito, has created a weakness in the market, This allowed who the product finished in hand of the hoarders, decreasing the profits of farmers and small traders in the region, affecting in some way the development of local production, which has had to adjust to the circumstances that this market without observing a response from those who make part of the supply chain, involving the same way to government agencies and trade groups of farmers in the region.

This paper has the objective to identify the main causes of unschooling and its incidence by sex, age in the commune 5, 6, 8 and 9 of the District of Santa Marta for 2011. To meet this objective a census was applied in the study area, a characterization of unschooling was conducted and a logistic regression model was applied to identify the variables that affect the probability of being unschooled. Found Among the reasons most frequently presented as a cause of unschooling are the problems at home, pregnancy , parenthood , the need to work , changing family home , among others presented in this paper . Finally, these results allow to point out the need to develop strategies aimed at mitigating the impact of unschooling in different age groups and differentially for each of the sexes.
