The article discusses the characteristics of the consultancy practice in psychoanalytic approach, stand up for the need of overall and common training of the team which leads to a common understanding for the mental and the suffering. Fundamental parameters for conducting primary diagnostic interview are described.
This article reviews basic approaches to individual plan design for social work with older people. Objectives and areas of planning are discussed in the perspective of understanding of successful aging, quality of life and subjective well-being. A complex model of an individual plan is proposed that meets corresponds the social workers needs in the practice. The plan is structured in a usable form and implies a balance between care, support and own activity and autonomy of the client.
The following paper purpose is to be analyzed theoretically and empirically techniques for enhancing motivation for change, which are eligible for implementation in the social work process with youngsters with deviant behavior. The study relies on the assumption that the model of social work, which is oriented towards the motivation for change, facilitates the process when it presents techniques encouraging change and avoids those who hold it. The motivation for change enhancement is a result of the specificity and the quality of interaction. The study was conducted in social work organizations with corrective and supportive functions mainly – shelters and transitional programs, therapeutic communities and rehabilitation programs. The article provides methodological guidelines for the possible use of techniques for enhancing motivation for change, consistent with the phases of the workflow in the social work process with youngsters with deviant behavior.
The paper aims to trace the process of emergence and development of sustainability – from the idea to the term. It introduces different definitions of the term depending on the contextual use, as well as documents where they meet. The paper is focused on important dimensions of the concept; special attention is paid on the social aspect.
The paper presents results from an empirical research, conducted among children in residential care. Aim of the study is to identify the influence of public attitudes on the relationship between children placed at the institution. Societal attitudes towards children at residential care can be considered in terms of two opposing positions. On one hand - compassion and pity, ongoing donations, on the other – non-acceptance, rejection, labeling. In both cases, the attitude towards those children is not adequate and could generates violence.
