The objective this text is to delimit the relationship between education and politics in the John Locke’s writing, regard the assignments that the magistrate wields. Detailing what the function that the magistrate has the upkeep of individual rights and what are the obligations of the legislative and executive powers, it becomes necessary. To this end, we will expose initially theory of division of powers; then we demonstrate that the magistrate must be an individual which prepares and executes the law impartially; and, finally, to relate this arguing with his writings on education. As a result of a qualitative research and philosophical we use hermeneutics as methodology. Consequently, the methodological procedure adopted was the analysis of text.

A estética de Nietzsche pode ser caracterizada como estética da expressividade. É através da expressividade do conjunto de seus escritos que ele constrói a imagem do filósofo-artista. O caminho que vai do filósofo ao filósofo-artista é construído com a aniquilação dos conceitos clássicos da estética e o confronto produtivo do mundo pessoal do filósofo e da arte, apresentados como a criação de novos valores. Para Nietzsche, a criatividade filosófica está a serviço da expressão do seu pensamento enquanto obra de arte e o seu ponto de partida e de chegada é a vida. Partindo dessa concepção de estética e de criatividade, é possível compreender melhor a crítica endereçada à obra de Wagner.

This article aims to construct a direct relation between Aristotle and Plato, in respect to his Rhetoric and the first part of Plato’s Gorgias. This Plato’s Dialog has furnished a fundamental and relevant aspect: the rhetoric has a relation with that, what is just or unjust, and it can be used with justice if the rector is just. But in Dialog, Plato reveals by Socrates’s mouth a relative skepticism with this rhetoric’s possibility. However, could be possible to see, that Aristotle tried to demonstrate in his Rhetoric a way to realize this possibility of rhetoric? This article says yes to this question, and it tries to show that Aristotle has established the conditions for this realization.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the Thomas Hobbes’ thought (1588-1679), having as base text for the analysis, “De Cive” and the “Leviathan”, in order to systematize the idea that, ultimately, Hobbes’ philosophy is the science of peace. One tries to demonstrate this in two moments. At first one can see some arguments that sustain why Hobbes can be considered one of the authors that best focuses the project of the foundation of modern politics. Secondly, one tries to systematize the arguments that lead Hobbes to conceive the passing of the state of nature to the civil status, as necessary. That leads one to considere, therefore, hobbesian philosophy as the science of peace.
