In this paper a low cost and driver’s environment friendly design of a Fuzzy Logic software system to manage driver distractions in a motor vehicle is presented. The system uses four inputs; vehicle speed, radio volume setting, frequency of left or right hand turns per minute and brightness conditions external to the vehicle. The system provides a single output in the form of a Driver Attention Load rating. This rating is used as a parameter to determine the degree to which the driver’s environment needs to be adjusted in terms of radio volume level, brightness of instrument cluster display and reducing the amount of connected phone interruptions per minute. The Fuzzy Inference Software System is modeled and simulated using MATLAB. After simulation, the final system and associated graphical user interface are designed as a standalone application written in Java. An open source Java library called jFuzzyLogic is used to model the Fuzzy Inference System and the Java Swing toolkit is used for the design of the graphical user interface.

Decision Support System (DSS) aims to help decision maker in the process of making decision, a Spatial Decision Support System (SDSS) is a DSS deals with spatial problem or use spatial data in solving a problem. Animal Diseases Spatial Decision Support System (ADSDSS) utilizes the capabilities of Data warehouse, Online Analytical Processing (OLAP), Geographic Information System (GIS), data mining techniques and knowledge base systems to provide decision makers with their needed information about the infected animals, infected places and diseases outbreaks. This information is displayed as reports or charts or allocated on a map which illustrates the most and the least affected places in an easy and fast way. So decision makers can take the right decision to control the spread of diseases outbreaks. For building ADSDSS the following steps are done (a) Animal diagnosis data from different data bases with climate database collected into a repository data warehouse for generating diagnosis data mart, (b) OLAP capabilities integrated with the diagnosis data mart for analysis and aggregation of data, (c) One of data mining techniques was applied and integrated into the system (association rules) to discover the relationships between different data items, (d) GIS spatial analysis and visualization capabilities integrated with the system to analyze diagnosis data and generate maps of diseases and outbreaks, (e) decisions suggestion capability integrated into the system to provide decision makers with suggestions and solutions to deal with diseases outbreaks. The experimental results show that the proposed system can provide the decision makers with their needed information in a fast and easy way.

Cloud Computing is benefiting to both cloud hosts and consumers by providing elastic services as a utility. These services are provided on the basis of Service Level Agreement (SLA). Security and privacy are major issues when dealing with a multi - tenant model of cloud. Consumers are provided computing power in terms of virtual machines (VMs). A consumer can have many VMs at a time. Multiple consumers can get different VMs from the same server. This may lead to cross-VM attacks. This paper introduces a new framework: SAFETY (Security Awareness Framework for Everyone's Task with You), for maintaining security from cross-VM attacks, Data leakage, VM theft, VM escape, Hyper jacking and VM Hopping. Experiments and results show that this framework is suitable and can be used for secure operations at cloud host side.

We propose an efficient and secure identity based group signature scheme from bilinear pairings. Group signature allows group member to sign arbitrary number of messages on behalf of the group without revealing their identity. Under certain circumstances the group manger holding a tracing key can reveal the identities of the signer from the signature. Our scheme is based on the Computation Diffie-Hellman Problem (CDHP) assumption and bilinear pairings. In the scheme, the size of the group public key and length of the signature are independent on the numbers of the group members.

Contrast is one of the important quality factors in image processing. Contrast is created by the difference in luminance reflected from two adjacent surfaces. In visual perception, contrast is determined by the difference in the colour and brightness of an object with other objects. If the contrast of an image is highly concentrated on a specific range, the information may be lost in those areas which are excessively and uniformly concentrated. This paper described a new contrast enhancement approach based on Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) that results in quality improvement of low contrast images. The input image is decomposed into four sub bands using DWT and obtain singular value matrix of the low-low sub band image and finally reconstructs the enhanced image by applying IDWT.
