Çalışmanın amacı, ortaokullarda öğrenim gören ve düzenli olarak aktif spor yapan ve yapmayan öğrencilerin şiddet eğilimlerinin incelenmesidir. Çalışmanın örneklemini Kütahya ilindeki ortaokullarda öğrenim gören, yaşları 12 ile 14 arasında değişen, 101’i kız, 99’u erkek toplam 200 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan kişisel bilgi formunun yanı sıra Göka ve arkadaşları tarafından geliştirilen şiddet eğilimi ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde SPSS paket programı kullanılmış olup veri toplama aracının güvenirliği test edildikten sonra verilerin normal bir dağılıma sahip olup olmadığının belirlenmesi için tek örneklem Kolmogorov-Smirnov testi, hipotez testleri olarak ise ikili karşılaştırmalar için Bağımsız Örneklem t-testi, üçlü ve daha fazla karşılaştırmalar için ise tek yönlü varyans analizi testi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda öğrencilerin şiddet eğilimlerinde cinsiyet ve spor yapma durumlarına göre anlamlı bir farklılık saptanmazken, öğrenim gördükleri sınıf ve algılanan sınıf içi başarı durumlarına göre anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışma sınıf ve başarının ortaokul öğrencilerinde şiddet eğiliminin yordayıcıları olduğunu göstermiştir.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, yaşlı bireylere uygulanan 12 haftalık sportif rekreatif programın antropometrik, fizyolojik ve fiziksel, özellikler üzerine etkisinin incelenmesidir. Çalışmaya, rastgele seçilmiş 15 erkek,16 kadın denek grubu, 15 erkek,16 kadın kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 62 yaşlı gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Katılımcılar günde bir saat haftada 3 gün olmak üzere düzenli rekreatif faaliyetlere katılmışlardır. 12 haftalık uygulanan rekreatif faaliyet öncesi (RFÖ) ve sonrası (RFS) denek ve kontrol gruplarından fiziksel, fizyolojik ve seçilmiş motorik özellikleri ile ilgili ölçümler alınmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde SPSS 17 paket programı kullanılmış olup ölçüm sonuçları, ortalama (X) ve standart sapma (SS) olarak sunulmuştur. Rekreatif program öncesi ve sonrası ölçüm sonuçlarının değerlendirilmesinde bağımlı gruplarda student t testi uygulanmış ve p < 0.05, değeri anlamlı kabul edilmiştir. 12 hafta süreyle uygulanan rekreatif faaliyet programı sonucunda denek ve kontrol grubu yaşlıların RFÖ ve RFS sonuçları karşılaştırıldığında, rekreatif faaliyetlere katılan yaşlı bireyler ile katılmayan yaşlı bireyler faktörüne bağlı olarak grupların fiziksel, fizyolojik ve vücut yağ yüzdeleri arasında matematiksel olarak olumlu gelişme olmasına rağmen istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı farka rastlanmamıştır p>0,05. Yapılan ölçüm sonuçları rekreatif faaliyetlere katılan bireylerin fiziksel, fizyolojik ve vücut yağ yüzdeleri üzerinde olumlu etkilerinin olduğunu göstermektedir.

In this study it was aimed to analyse individuals’ level of self-respect and risk-taking who both doing sport and not doing in respect of different socio-demographic aspects. The subjects in this study included 208 individuals who do sport and 102 individuals who do not sport, in respect of genders, 220 male and 90 female totally 310 individuals who live in Erzurum and subjects were chosen randomly. The data was collected by applying the individuals risk taking scale (DOSPERT) which was developed by Weber, Blais and Betz and later shortened by Weber and Bias and self-respect scale developed by Arıcak. SPSS20 programme was used for assessment and analysis of the data and significance was determined as P<0,05. Shapiro-Wilk Normality test was applied in order to analyse whether the distribution of the data was normal or not and it was observed the data was not normally distributed. Mann Whitney U test was applied in order to find out whether there was difference between the level of self-respect and risk taking in respect of gender and doing sport and Kruskal- Wallis test was applied in respect of age and marital status. According to results it was found out that there were differences between the level of self- respect and risk taking in respect of the criterias such as age, gender, status of doing sport and marital status.

The study was made with the aim of determining the effect of sport on tolerance level of secondary school students against themselves. A total of 400 students from the schools in city centre of Konya, of whom 200 do sports (100 boys and 100 girls) and 200 who don’t (100 boys and 100 girls) voluntarily participated in the study. Tolerant scale that was developed by Ersanlı in 2004, consisted of 30 items, was used to determine the participants’ tolerance level. In the evaluation of the obtained data SPSS for Windows 16 was used. After evaluating normal dispersion of the data and the homogeneous of the variances independent samples t test and One Way Anova were used to determine the significant differences and also in the differences between groups Tukey test was used. While no difference was observed in tolerance level against themselves of male secondary school students who do sport or not, significant difference was observed in the tolerance level of female students who do sport compared to female students who do not (p<0.05). When all groups were considered there was a significant difference in the tolerance level against themselves of students who do sport compared to students who do not (p<0.05). There were no significant differences according to mother and father education status, age, level of income, number of sisters/brothers, there was a significant difference according to education class (p<0.05). According to study findings it can be said that students who do sports actively are more tolerant to theirselves and to their environments than the students who don’t do sports and the girl students who do sports are more tolerant to themselves and to their environments than the girl or boy students who don’t do sports

The purpose of this study was to compare the alternations of physical performance, some blood parameters, pulse and blood pressure of male student athletes from Kastamonu School of Physical Education and Sports. 15 student athletes volunteered for the study. The sampling group trained for two hours between 9.00-11.00 a.m. The sampling groups’ RBC, WBC, Hb, HCT, resting systolic blood pressure, resting diastolic blood pressure, resting heart rate and aerobic and anaerobic values on the fifteenth day at high altitude (3250 m) and on the seventh day after returning sea level were measured. T- test was used as a statistical method and significance level was determined as (P<0.05). The results showed that, WBC, HB, resting systolic blood pressure, resting diastolic blood pressure, resting heart rate, score were significantly different (p<0.05) but there was no significant difference between RBC, HCT, aerobic and anaerobic values (P>0.05). The results suggest that athletes who trained at high altitude should be supplied by vitamin and minerals, they should sleep and rest regularly, they shouldn't make any exercise which can cause to lactic acid accumulation
