Previous research has shown that health facilities play an important role in improving patients' trust as well as the image of health facilities. This research aims to determine the impact of health facilities and patients' trust on brand trust. To know the effect, the quantitative approach is used by using structural equation modeling. The sample of samples is 179 people. The results show that there is significant influence of health facilities and patients' trust on brand trust. This indicates that to increase brand trust it is necessary to improve health facilities and patients' trust.

– This study aimed to find the relationship of emotional intelligence level and ego resiliency because of its effective functioning in the diverse areas of life most especially to teachers. There were 150 teachers from Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) in Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines taken as a sample. Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS) was used in measuring the level of emotional intelligence and Solera’s Ego-Resiliency scale was used for measuring the levels of ego-resiliency. There existed a correlational coefficient of 0.475, p<.001 with an associated mark of a positive relationship of the two variables. This indicated that there was a significant linear association between the levels of emotional intelligence and ego-resiliency in the teachers of EVSU. The result illustrated that as a teacher with a high level of emotional intelligence, he/she is able to regulate one’s emotion and to cope with different stressors and adversity. As they can regulate their emotions, they will be able to manage themselves when faced with future adversities. In addition, this study was conducted a year before the super typhoon Haiyan struck the entire city where the University was located. Therefore, a follow-up study should be conducted to further assess how they had managed their emotions and how they had bounced back from that traumatic natural disaster they experienced.

The aim of the research was to investigate the effects of Project-Based Learning method in developing the 21st century skills of the Grade 7 students in Computer Hardware Servicing and compare it to that of lecture-discussion method. This is an experimental research which utilized the QuasiExperimental research design specifically the Non-equivalent Control Group Design with Pretest and Posttest. There were twenty (20) research respondents in the experimental group and twenty (20) research respondents in the control group. The experimental group was exposed to project-based learning method while the control group was exposed to lecture-discussion method. The validated and reliability – tested pretest were given prior to their exposure to project-based learning and lecture-discussion methods. Posttest was administered after the instructional intervention. The data collected from the pretest and posttest performance were analyzed using the mean and t-test. Findings of the research investigation are as follows: the experimental and control groups obtained low in their test performance in Computer Hardware Servicing in the pretest. During the posttest, both groups obtained average in their performance. There is significant difference in the levels of performance in the pretest and posttest of the experimental group and control group. It was found out that there is no significant difference as to the effectiveness between project-based learning method and lecture-discussion method. It was revealed that project-based learning method and lecture-discussion method are good methods in teaching Computer Hardware Servicing.

Assessment of educational outcomes upon completion of the nursing program is one way to inform academic institutions of the effectiveness of their teaching-learning practices. A descriptive correlational study design was carried out among 141 graduating nursing students of West Visayas State University to assess their terminal cognitive competency on core nursing knowledge framed under the National Nursing Competency Standards’ 11 Key Areas of Responsibility. All regular graduating students in the year 2015 with complete records of secondary data needed for the study were included. A validated and reliability tested questionnaire was used to assess the terminal core nursing knowledge competencies of the students. Results revealed that students, prior to graduation, had good core nursing knowledge. Significant differences were found in the terminal core nursing knowledge of students when grouped according to Nursing Aptitude Test (NAT) and academic performance in professional nursing courses, with students who had excellent and superior NAT performance and those with very good and outstanding academic performance in professional nursing courses having significantly higher terminal core nursing knowledge. NAT and academic performance had significant, positive correlation to core nursing knowledge. Further, NAT and academic performance accounted for 46% of variance explained in the core nursing knowledge of nursing students. Higher Education Institutions, therefore, must commit themselves in providing quality nursing education by ensuring proper, responsive and relevant implementation of the nursing curriculum. This in turn may translate to attainment of intended educational outcomes and learners knowledgeable of

This study unveiled the life experiences of the Catholic devotees with the miraculous Señor Santo Niño de Cebu. This aimed to: describe the key informant’s narratives of faith; extrapolate themes on their narratives; and intrapolate scriptural texts with the extrapolated themes on faith. Key informants narrated their beliefs and themes of faith were extrapolated. Interview and thematic analysis were used in an exploratory narrative inquiry. To protect the integrity of the generated data from interview, bracketing was used to separate the researchers’ personal biases. Verbatim accounts of key informants were held confidentially using the required ethics protocol. Cebu, being the root of Catholicism in the Philippines created the devotees’ religious landscape of faith. The undying faith of the Cebuano devotees to Señor Santo Niño, though marked with criticisms and issues based on scriptural interpretations by other religious denominations; but faith was tested and strengthened by their direct or indirect experiences. Using prayers, miracles of healing surpassed human tribulations and communed with the ambit of a mystical God. As the devotees danced the Sinulog, a unifying force bound the faithful to be solidified in the spirit of grace and abundant blessings that without the Señor Santo Niño, everything in Cebu is permissible. Despite Biblical and religious interpretations and contradictions, the worship of the Señor Santo Niño would not fade unceasingly. Its faith catapulted the devotees to become better individuals and strengthened their relationship to God. After all, it is not about religion, it is about faith.

An effective guidance and counseling service is an essential factor to equip the student with the proper foundation, attitude, skills and values to succeed in life. In this study, the researchers developed an Online Guidance Testing System for the Guidance and Counseling Department of Iloilo Science and Technology University so as the counselors may have an efficient tool in the conduct of numerous tests and prompt access to the test results when needed. The Iloilo Science and Technology University located at Burgos St. Lapaz Iloilo City is composed of five (5) branches. These include the Lapaz, Leon, Miag-ao, Barotac and Dumangas Campus. Each campus has a designated Guidance Counselors who facilitated the guidance testing. The developed system was evaluated by ten (10) Information and Communication Technology professionals using International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9126 Six (6) Software Quality Standards. As a whole, the respondents rated the system as Very Effective. In the six general categories consisting of Functionality, Reliability, Usability, Efficiency, Maintainability and Portability, the respondents have consistently rated the system as Very Effective. The evaluation conducted by the respondents and the acceptance of the target users indicates the system’s functionality and conformance to the required system features, functionality and output.

Teaching materials is a generic term used to describe the resources teachers utilize to deliver instruction with ease and greater effectiveness. Regardless of their variation, these materials support learning content, allow students to engage in the concepts application and provide an opportunity for evaluation. With the coming of R.A. 10533, the Enhanced Basic Education Curriculum or popularly known as K-12 Curriculum the needs for the instructional materials doubled as the learners stay in the public schools for two (2) additional years. On its initial years, Senior High Schools greatly experienced scantiness of instructional materials in teaching different subjects. Thus, this paper aimed to aid the scantiness of instructional materials in Bauan Technical High School. With this, problems encountered regarding the supply, usability and accessibility of instructional materials by so called facilitators of learning were explicitly manifested through questionnaire guided interviews and Focus Group Discussion. By Content Analysis, momentous inputs were coded, interpreted and validated. Significantly, the study found out that the most outstanding experience of the respondents in the teaching learning process was the accumulation of instructional material tailored fit to the needs of the learners and would suffice the yields of the Department of Education curriculum guides. More than time consuming, instructional materials’ supply, usability and accessibility were constraints for the facilitators. In the midst of this, teachers maximized the use of online sources which eased this scantiness. This led to the proposed offline digital instructional archive, Libro ni Bonsai, a Google Play Store free mobile application, oasis of tailor fit curriculum guide based instructional materials that would aid present dilemma.

The main objective of the study is to determine the present employment status of the graduates of BS Electrical Engineering from 2007 – 2010. It established among others, the level of employment , professional registration, labour mobility, job satisfaction and utilization of skills. The study also assessed the relevance of the Electrical Engineering program outcomes and school factors to the world of work. The study had 79 respondents which were purposively selected because they used the same curriculum. A big number of graduates are passers of licensure examination and other certificates and attend to various relevant trainings. Significantly, findings revealed that the graduates are highly employable in a wide range of industry such as Consultancy, Design and Inspection, Operation, Maintenance and Repair and Electric Utility and holding a position that varies from supervisor, designer, academician, technician, and staff engineer. Metro Manila and its suburb turned out to be the number one importer of manpower although a significant number are employed in overseas. A high mobility rate was found among the graduates for various reasons, among others, low salary, insufficient benefits and hostile environments. Respondents, in general, acknowledge the positive contribution of the program to their professional development. They admitted that it developed their ability to engage in life-long learning, critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills. Recommendations for the improvement of the program were given, notably exposure to modern electrical equipment with handson experience on the different software used by the industry, and provide a course that will prepare them to supervisory and managerial positions.
