Among various components of leadership, altruism has a significant place. Various noble characters around the world have exhibited the power of altruism in their behaviour which can be linked to their special achievements. Altruism is not very common among the entrepreneurs, and requires a strong willpower and determination with a selfless heart on the part of the subject. India’s ancient history and cultural accounts are full of stories through which relevant lessons in altruism can be profitably withdrawn. While performing and working with altruistic behaviour, a leader’s incredible approach of morality has been widely studied and examined in the Indian literary texts by several intellectuals. This paper intends to emphasise the significance of altruism in the modern competitive materialistic world. An attempt has been made to analyse the inevitability of altruism through the works of creative literature and their employability in the study of modern management.

Recently Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is highlighted as an important factor to make figure in many industries. Interestingly, there are not many researches in Islamic banking industry. The purpose of this research is to analyze whether CSR has a significant relationship toward Corporate Image (CI) and Word of Mouth (WOM) in Islamic bank. Furthermore, this research also to examine the effect of CI toward WOM in Islamic banking industry. The data is collected using questionnaire method involving 238 bank’s customer who get chosen for CSR program from bank. The data is analyzed using Partial Least Square. The result from this research showed that CSR has a positive significance effect towards CI and CI has positive has positive significant effect towards Word of Mouth. In the end, this research revealed that banking industry should focus more on implementing effective CSR because it shows positive correlation toward creating positive CI and WOM which could persuade customer decision toward choosing their personal Bank.

Entrepreneurs start their business by planning their business either documented or undocumented. The business plan is executed after considering various aspects of the related business has been met. Execution of business plan (Go / No-Go decision) is thought to be a repeating activity by entrepreneurs as well as innovation that always done for developing and sustaining the business. Effective decision-making method of business plan execution are required to generate time, energy and resource efficiency, especially in the business plan execution of the software development field. This research uses qualitative method with sample size of 9 of software development companies in Indonesia, and it is intended to answer research questions: “What method are effective for entrepreneurs / new entrepreneurs in the field of software development to take Go / No-Go decisions from business plans that have been compiled.” The result of this research is Go / No-Go decision-making method on business development of software development can be decomposed into: Assumption Exploration, assumption selection, assumption testing and take a decision. Some of the main keys are: the business should consider market, product, technology, economy, competition and organization as group of assumptions; and when take a decision, several ways to be taken are: looking at difficulty level and resistance of assumptions, conducting trial and error (doing design fast, and tested to customer), conducting market test and seeing result, and interview with user.

The Entrepreneurship Development Program (PPK) program is a place for students and alumnus in entrepreneurship. The Entrepreneurship Program implemented comes from the DRPM Ristek Dikti. The Entrepreneurship Development Program is a realization of the commitment of the Batam State Polytechnic in developing entrepreneurship. The Entrepreneurship Development Program at Batam State Polytechnic is an entrepreneurial program with the aim of producing new entrepreneurs who are independent based on science and technology. There is a series of activities in the process of recruiting tenants until the selection of candidates who have criteria has the right to participate in the program of entrepreneurship development. The method of implementing entrepreneurship development program activities through the Capacity Building with an approach in the context of empowering potential tenants using the PALS method (Participatory Action Learning System). The PALS method emphasizes the existing activities to be attempted to be brought to the condition of students through entrepreneurial awareness phase, capacity building and mentoring phase. The PALS method in the form of skills and management training is carried out with the aim of providing knowledge and understanding of entrepreneurship, encourage innovative ideas motivation, as well as to increase understanding in the management of business organization, the production of the operation, business financial, as well as making business and marketing business plan. The incubation activity in the Entrepreneurship Development Program received 41 candidates who were selected according to the criteria and then produced 25 tenants. At the end of the program the development of entrepreneurship has succeeded in producing new independent entrepreneurs who are ready to go to the community.
