2-amino-4,6-diethyl-5-(4’-sulphonamoyl)azopyrimidines were synthesized by condensation of 2-(4’-sulphonamoyl)hydrazono-3,5-heptanedione with Guanidine Nitrate in the molar ratio 0.01M yield the corresponding synthesized compounds respectively. The following sulpha drugs viz. (Sulphanilamide, Sulphaguanidine, Sulphadiazine Sulphadimidine, Sulphathiazole and Sulphapyridine etc.) were used in this synthesis. The structure of synthesized compounds was elucidated by elemental analyses, UV-vis, FT-IR, 1 H, NMR and mass spectrometry and purity of newly synthesized compounds were checked by TLC.The New products have been assessed for antifungal and antibacterial activities against certain microorganism.

The aim of this study was modeling of ambient air pollutants through ANN in industrial area of Ujjain city in India and the study was carried out on modeling of air pollutants like SPM and RSPM using Artificial Neural Network. Artificial neural networks (ANN), whose performances to deal with pattern recognition problems is well known, are proposed to identify air pollution sources. The ANN system was run by giving the inputs of meteorological data’s and giving the outputs of concentration of various pollutants and accordingly the estimation of Errors was done by this study. The monthly data’s in year from 2009 -2012 of meteorological data’s like Temperature, Humidity, wind pressure and rainfall and the pollutants concentration were collected from the State Pollution Control Board. The ANN system used, as shown in figure 1, analyses all these data’s and finds the error coming during the experiment. The study estimated the Mean Square Error (MSE) from the inputs and outputs which were given to ANN in the industrial area of Ujjain City in India was found satisfactory being in the range of 0.001-0.003. The results shown here indicate that the neural network techniques can be useful tool in the hands of practitioners of air quality management and prediction. The models studied in this study are easily implemented, and they can deliver prediction in real time, unlike other modeling techniques.

Most heavy metals are well-known toxic and carcinogenic agents and when discharged into the wastewater represent a serious threat to the human population and the fauna and flora the receiving water bodies. Microalgae culture offers an interesting step for wastewater treatments, because they provide a tertiary biological treatment coupled with the production of potentially valuable biomass, which can be used for several purposes. Microalgae cultures offer an elegant solution to tertiary and quandary treatments due to the ability of microalgae to use of cell wall biosorption mechanism. Their capacity to remove heavy metals is also affected by pre-treatment of biomass, surrounding condition such as pH, light intensity, temperature and biotic factors. In the current review we will highlight on the role of micro-algae in the treatment of wastewater.

In the work iodine amount in vegetative and generative organs of medicinal plants Berberis Vulgaris L. and Xanthium Strumarium L. has been studied by ion chromatography. It was found that iodine amount in stalk of Berberis Vulgaris L. by 3 times and in leaf by 23 times less than that in root, and in fruit it makes 6,2±0,5 mg. It was revealed that in root, stalk and leaf of Xanthium Strumarium L. iodine amount is almost the same (677,8±39,4), and in fruit – 80 % (540,4±28,4) of vegetative organs.

A ‘chemistry driven approach’ to the synthesis of small molecules of medicinal interest was launched to explore the versatility of 3-benzoylmethyl indolin-2-one (3) (resulted on the reaction of isatin with acetophenone followed by reduction of the obtained enone derivative 2 with Na2S2O4 ) to provide synthetically acceptable protocols to the formation of indolin-2-one analogues substituted on its 3-position with pyrimidine derivatives (7- 12) respectively whose structure was unequivocally established from its micro analyses and spectral data.

In the field of coordination chemistry, extensive studies have been carried out on metal complexes formed by ligands having dual sites for coordination. Of these, thiosemicarbazides having N and S as donor atoms deserve a special mention. Interest in thiosemicarbazones (derivatives of thiosemicarbazides) as ligands mainly developed due to their flexibility which led to extremely variable behaviour in their reactions with transition and non-transition metals. Literature studies show that thiosemicarbazones exhibit a wide range of stereochemistry on complexation with transition metal ions. Technological advances have led to the development of sophisticated and sensitive instrumentations which provide avenues to probe into the structure and bonding in the complexes. Hence new metal complexes have been synthesised using chloride salt of Cobalt and thiosemicarbazone obtained by variation of the parent carbonyl compound. Magnetic and spectral studies have been carried out to obtain information regarding effect of coordination on the central metal ion (oxidation state in particular) and stereochemistry exhibited by these complexes.

Industrialization and modernization in now a days has made a strong demand of steel and their maintenance for a strong infrastructure for every country in the race of survival, stabilization, growth and competition. Atmospheric corrosion can aggressively accelerate the rate of degradation of steel during their manufacturing, processing, storage and transportation. In these cases, traditional methods to prevent corrosion are not suitable which provide scope of Vapour Phase Corrosion Inhibitors (VPCI) in industries, defense and daily life. Cetyltrimethylammoniumbromide (CTAB) was tested for mild steel in different aggressive atmospheric conditions by Weight loss test, Eschke test, Salt spray test, Sulphur dioxide (SO2) test at 50oC and results of these tests were supported by Metallurgical research microscopy and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Synergistic effect of CTAB were performed with Ethylamine (EA), N,N,N,NTetramethylethylenediamine (TMEDA) and N-Ethylaniline (NEA) to enhance the percentage corrosion inhibition efficiency (PCIE).

Irradiation of sunflower (Helianthus annus.L.) seeds to magnetic fields (MF) have influence on physiological processes. Seeds exposed to 500 μT for 48 hrs showed an enhancement of 24% in germination on day 3. The experiments carried out show that seeds previously treated with magnetic fields have increased water uptake, which may be the reason for the enhanced percentage germination and growth rate. The physical state of water in the seeds of both control and exposed groups were examined using nuclear magnetic resonance (H1 NMR) spectroscopy & imaging during imbibitions. NMR images of water distribution and proton transverse relaxation time (T2) were recorded during the first 15 hrs of imbibitions. NMR images reveal that hydration during this period is a multistage process. Higher concentration of water in the radical of treated seeds revealed that water penetration into the seed is more in treated seeds which must have contributed to faster germination and growth.

The absorption fluorescence FT-IR and SEM charcecteristics of 4- nitro benzoic acid (4–NBA) and 3,5-dinitrobenzoic acid (3,5–DNBA) have been investigated for different concentration of α–Cyclodextrin ( α-CD) . The inclusion processes are discussed based on absorption, emission, FT– IR spectroscopy and SEM studies. The absorption and emission studies show that carbonyl group is deeply entrapped in the α-Cyclodextrin cavity and NO2 group is entrapped in the upper rim of the α-Cyclodextrin . The higher formation constant value for 4- NBA proves that 4-NBA included deeply in the α-Cyclodextrin cavity than 3, 5-DNBA . Lower formation constant value suggest that Intramolecular hydrogen bonding and steric hindrance are present in 3, 5-DNBA. Change in the IR frequency shows that both 4-NBA and 3, 5-DNBA are included in the α-Cyclodextrin cavity. Benesi – Hildebrand plot confirmed that 1:1 stoichiometric ratio was present in the inclusion complex. SEM study cleared shows the morphological difference in the inclusion complex.

In this paper the solubilities of the amino acid, DL-α-amino butyric acid (Aba) were measured in aqueous solution with various sodium chloride (NaCl) concentrations. The solubilities were measured by ‘formol titrimetry’ method in the temperature range from 288.15 to 308.15 K. The standard transfers Gibbs energies and entropies have been evaluated for Aba from water to aqueous mixture of NaCl solution at 298.15 K. The chemical effects of the transfer Gibbs energies ( ) ( 0, G i t ch Δ ), as obtained by subtracting theoretically computed G0 (i) t Δ due to cavity and dipole-dipole interactions effects from the total transfer free energies, G0 (i) t Δ . Again ) ( 0, S i t ch ΤΔ have been evaluated after elimination of cavity effect and dipole-dipole interaction effects from total transfer (T S 0 (i) t Δ ) entropies. The various solvent parameters as well as thermodynamic parameters like molar volume, densities, dipole moment and solvent diameter of aqueous solution of sodium chloride (NaCl) have also been reported here. The results show that the solubility is affected by the electrolyte. The solvation chemistry of Aba is guided here by different types of interactions.

Densities, Speed of sound and viscosity values are measured in binary liquid mixtures containing o-anisidine with o-cresol at temperatures 303.15.15K, 308.15, 313.15K, 318.15K over the entire mole fraction range. These values are used to measure various parameters like enthalpy, H, internal pressure, π, and by using these various excess parameters like excess enthalpy, HE excess internal pressure, πE excess speed of sound, uE and excess viscosity,ηE values are calculated. The results are explained in the light of molecular interactions.

The present investigation was carried out during Jun-July 2013, to analysed the water quality for the ground water of Basti Sadar block of district Basti, U.P. India. Total ten numbers of ground water samples were collected from different locations of the block and analysed for the various physico-chemical parameters such as pH, turbidity, fluoride, Total Hardness, Chloride, Nitrate, Iron and Free Chlorine. The results were also compared with WHO, BIS and ICMR standards. The analysis reveals that most of the parameter are found under permissible limit but some are exceeds the maximum permissible limit of WHO and other standards.

Aniline has been copolymerized in the presence of substituted aniline as comonomer to prepare conducting copolymer of poly(aniline-co-o-methoxyaniline) type via. the chemical oxidation polymerization route. The chemical structure and conducting behaviour are studied by means of Fourier transform infra-red (FTIR) spectroscopy and two-probe conductivity method. The conductivity of emeraldine salt form of poly(anilineco- o-methoxyaniline) is 2.23x10-4 S cm-1 and energy band gap is 0.2185 eV.

A series of metal caffeine complexes involving a tridentate (NO2)-donor Schiff base and two monodentate N9 caffeine and water coordination with the composition [M(LH)(Caff)2H2O]n; M= Cd2+, Zn2+, Ni2+, Cu2+; Caf= caffeine have been prepared and characterized by FT-IR, 1H, 13C NMR, DEPT, UV-Visible and Molar Conductance.

Today about 80% of world energy requirement is provided by petroleum products. Its, extensive utilization has led to climate change, environmental pollution, and health problems. To reduce these effects, it is necessary to enhance the use of renewable energy sources. Among many renewable energy sources biodiesel is one such alternative. An oscillatory baffled reactor has been designed and fabricated to produce Mahua oil methyl esters from high FFA Mahua oil. In our present study the production of Biodiesel was carried out in two steps. The highest biodiesel yield was obtained (95%) under conditions of reaction temperature of 25 degree celcius, reaction time of 10 minutes, oil to methanol molar ratio of 1:12 and 4 v/v % sulfuric acid in the first step and 0 .3 weight % of potassium hydroxide in second step as catalysts.

The kinetics of oxidation of ethyl acetoacetate has been investigated in the presence and absence of oxalic acid, in a moderately conc. sulphuric acid medium. The oxidation follows the kinetics of the first order with respect to the oxidant (VI) and first order with respect to the [Ester]. The reaction is overall of the second order. The reactions are acid catalyzed and the rates are independent of added salts. In the absence of oxalic acid the reaction is overall second order, first order in each reactant. In presence of oxalic acid the rate of oxidation increases. The values of thermodynamic parameters have been evaluated. A probable mechanism consistent with the kinetic data has been proposed.

Climate change stem from increasing greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide are the result of emissions from fossil fuel combustion, tropical land clearing and natural process. To offset those gases, CO2 emissions are being limited through engineering controls or storing carbon through biological controls. The concept of carbon credits came into existence as a result of increasing awareness of the need for controlling emission and formed under the “Kyoto Protocol” is an international agreement linked to the UNFCCC. To make the “Kyoto Protocol” more effective, the concept of Carbon Credits was introduced. Carbon Credit is like a Permit that allows an entity to emit a specified amount of greenhouse gases. One credit is equal to 1 tonne of CO2 reduced. It introduces a new form of commerce: the carbon trade is a new economic activity involves the buying and selling of “environmental services” including the removal of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere. Carbon credits are currently trading for $9.5 to $10 per metric ton. There are six exchanges trading in carbon allowances. JI and CDM are the two project-based mechanisms which feed the carbon market. Currently there are about 227 upcoming manufacturing/public utility projects in India whereas the global requirement is 350-500 million tons of additional carbon credits. Countries not only invest in new technologies & heavy machinery in order to reduce their emissions but they can just pay a minimal amount & get a carbon emission certificate for their emissions.

Amidinothiocarbamides and their derivatives possess various pharmaceutical, industrial, medicinal and agricultural values1-4. Intraction of different thiocarbamides and substituted cyanamides were carried out to synthesised respective substituted thiocarbamides, bis-foramidino sulphide, amidinothiocarbamides (salt) and their derivatives.5-8 Amidinothiocarbamides and their derivatives were successfully cyclised into respective Hector’s bases, thiadiazines, dithiazines, thiadiazolidines, s-triazines and pyrimidines by using different reagent and different reaction conditions. 9-14 So it was thought interesting to synthesis yet new series of 1,3-bis (Nsubstitutedamidinothiocarbamido)- thiocarbamides.(2) which may posses different pharmaceutical, industrial, medicinal, agricultural important which may be further cyclise to synthesis yet new series of 5 and 6 membered hetercyclic compounds.The structure of all these compounds were established on the basis of elemental analysis ,IR and PMR spectral data.

By using these values various parameters like adiabatic compressibility (β), free volume (V), free length (Lf), internal pressure (π) and their excess values have been calculated. The intermolecular interactions and structural effects are analyzed on the basis of the measured and derived properties.
