This study presents empirical evidence on determinants of international migration from the perspective of a source country and applies the gravity model of migration to empirically assess the determinants of emigration from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan from 1998 to 2011. The findings of the study unveil that economic factors such as, GDP per capita, real wage(s), value added per worker in agriculture, remittances, exchange rates and demographic factor as amount of labor force influence the emigration decision.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the research attributes and contribution of extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) literature in the past decade by employing bibliometrics analysis. Publications on XBRL topical area are used to complete two sections of analysis in this study. The first section examines the research intellectual network of XBRL by applying citation frequency count and cocitation analysis. The second section examines the content of XBRL publications by taxonomizing articles along multiple dimensions and providing descriptive statistics on research attributes. This study aims at contributing to accounting literature by shedding light on the recent research structure on XBRL and potential future directions.

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is widely used in banking sector to measure the efficiency of the banks. This paper evaluates the performance of the banks in India using cost, revenue and profit models of DEA and comes out with a comprehensive efficiency index for banks, by combing the efficiency scores of various DEA models, using the Shannon entropy. In general, the banks included in this study are sound in terms of total assets, manpower, branch network etc., and they have been ranked based on their performance, which depends on optimal utilization of select variables. In order to measure the degree of agreement between rankings of banks based on three different models, namely cost, revenue and profit model, Kendall’s coefficient of concordance have been used. The study observes that Shannon-DEA approach provides a comprehensive efficiency index for banks and a reasonable way of ranking.

Due to overall importance special attention is paid to the theoretical and practical analysis of the performance of small independent retailers. Considering that, this paper analyzes the specifics of economic and financial status of trade entrepreneurs, i.e. small independent retailers in Serbia for 2008 - 2012 period. Despite very "complex", i.e. appalling business conditions in Serbia in the last period, the results (of almost all observed indicators) show "relatively" satisfactory economic and financial position of the trade entrepreneurs in Serbia.

Orthodox economists generally think about labor market that the price stability and low unemployment cannot be achieved at the same time. In this sense, the Orthodox argument discusses that a decline in the aggregate demand will decrease the money wages and real wages proportionally, and increase the volume of employment. Michal Kalecki denies such a wage policy which is consistently determined by this idea. Wages reflect the price-money wage relation in real terms. Prices set in regard to the degree of monopoly. In this context, it is assumed real wages is determined depending upon the degree of monopoly, labor productivity and price of import goods. According to Kalecki, Orthodoxian view which relates a decrease in real wages with an increase in production based on increasing marginal cost assumption and Kalecki does not accept this perspective. Kaleckian Post- Keynesian labor market will be theoretically discussed and the determination process of the real wage will be empirically analyzed for Turkish economy over the period 1989:1 to 2012:4.

In order to rectify environmental degradation, government has encouraged sustainable management among businesses. In addition, researchers have also suggested a new breed of study called “sustainable entrepreneurship”, which links sustainability management to entrepreneurial activities. However, the participation of entrepreneurial firms in sustainability management is still far from satisfactory. Past studies also have found that SMEs are less active in sustainabilty initiatives and many issues related to the intention of firms for sustainability entrepreneurship is still unanswered. Therefore, this study was carried out to examine the influence of socio-cultural factors on intention towards sustainable entrepreneurship among SMEs. A total of 404 SMEs in Malaysia were surveyed by using questionnaire. Based on the statistical analyses performed, this study found that three socio-cultural factors, namely time orientation, sustainability orientation and social norm significantly influenced intention towards sustainable entrepreneurship among SMEs. Thus, in order to develop true sustainable entrepreneurs in the country, the effects of non-economic factors such as socio-cultural factors should not be underestimated. Lastly, some recommendations for future researchers have also been put forth in this paper.
