Small scale industries today constitutes a very important segment of the Indian economy the development of this sector came about primarily due to the vision of our late Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru who sought to develop core industry and have a supporting sector in the form of small scale enterprises. Small scale sector has emerged as a dynamic and vibrant sector of the economy. The sector contribution to employment is next only to agriculture in India. It is therefore an excellent sector of economy for investment. Already we have seen that how small scale industries are playing significant role in the economy. As we discussed above the importance and institutional framework of India and Gujarat, government of India and government of Gujarat is trying to be more supportive to this sector. In spite of these lots of attempts of government of Gujarat and government of India this sector is not raising as accepted to other countries and economy. Now we knew that how small scale industries is playing important role in economy. We have accepted its importance. Inspire of its importance, the small scale sector is beset with the problems of finding facilities given by financial institutions, nationalized banks, private banks, co-operative banks and public sector banks.

The understanding of information needs and information-seeking behaviour of various professional groups is essential as it helps in the planning, implementation and operation of information system. This article is focus on the need and use of information pattern by among the faculty members and student of Sri Sakhida Arts, Gediwala Commerce and C.C. Home Science College. The Sample of 117 library users selected randomly was studied. The results revealed that the Faculty and students are almost in same platform in information use pattern on the basis of visits, purpose of visits, useful of information sources and utilization of library services. Both the faculty and students are having more knowledge to utilize the library and library Resources. Nowadays library users are very much interested to seek the information in different ways.

Over the years, as we grow up, we often wonder about the purpose or reason of our existence. Is life simply a matter of obtaining food and shelter? In fact, animals are mostly occupied in activities related to survival. But surely human existence must have a greater purpose. This has been the basic concern in the Indo-Eastern perspective on human nature. The Indian approaches tell us that many of the problems that we face in life are due to faulty ways of thinking and understanding the world. Therefore, the concern in the Indian perspective is on removal of faulty knowledge which keeps us in a state of ignorance (avidya). Once we have realized this, it is possible to live life with a new kind of freedom. In this state we come to experience a deep and complete joy. This happiness or state of bliss is present in each of us. We only have to unfold and experience it. Such a state enlarges the human consciousness in such a manner that a person’s goal becomes recovering the experience of beingness or existence that is common to everybody.

The Psychological Contract emerged as a concept in the psychological literature almost fifty years ago, as a footnote in Understanding Organizational Behavior. The Psychological Contract refers to implicit ideas about the employeeorganization relationship. The perceived violation of Psychological Contract of employees reflects unfulfilled promises from employer side. This perception of violation might lead to adverse effect on the organization. Psychological Contract in Indian perspective is relatively neglected research area. The literature reflects potential opportunity for future research on Psychological Contract in Indian perspective.

The fundamental difference between Man and animal is Rationality with which Intelligence Quotient (IQ) deals .The fundamental difference between Man and Machine (Robot) is Emotionality with which Emotional Intelligence (EQ) deals. Thus IQ and EQ are human specific qualities. Both are reflected in man’s social behavior and interactions with which Social Intelligence (SQ) deals. Present paper aims at examining whether these three typically human faculties are independent or are inter-correlated. Three questionnaires measuring IQ, EQ and SQ respectively were given to 60 college students, including males and females. Pearson and Partial Correlations were calculated through SPSS 15.0. The results showed no significant correlation of IQ with EQ and SQ, but the correlation between EQ and SQ was found to be statistically significant. This implies that IQ is independent faculty but EQ and SQ are correlated.

An attempt is made in this paper to know Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) performance in India in terms of Merger and Acquisition (M&A), Technology transfer and Research & Development (R&D). Beginning of the sections is done with FDI policy in India. Initially, India has many restrictive policies but it is favorable after liberalization period to attract FDI in India. Another section of the Paper discussed performance of M&A in terms of number, volume, country and industry wise, Technology Transfer with suggested government policy and FDI inflow in R&D from the year 2000-2011(post liberalization period). At the end of the paper,it has been concluded that growth of FDI Inflows is quite positive in above mentioned area.

Girls and boys have the same rights to get a quality education. But the ‘gender gap’ becomes painfully evident when looking at who is in the classroom. Girls lag behind than boys at all levels of formal education in Haryana. Enrolment, retention, transition and achievement rates for girls are always lower than that of boys. This means that even many of the girls who are enrolled in school do not complete Secondary School education. There is the strong belief that negative parental attitude must be blamed for the low level education of girls. The purpose of the present study was, therefore, to assessing current parental attitude towards the education of girls children. The study analyzed the data from 50 parents, who had one or more than one school going children. Out of these, 20 parents belonged to upper caste families, 15 parents belonged to middle caste families and 15 parents belonged to lower caste families. The age range of the sample was 18-50 years, and they all belonged to Bohar village of Rohtak District. 20-item questionnaire schedule was used for collecting data. The findings showed that the overall attitude of the respondents was moderately favorable and positive towards schooling and education of their children. The study reflects that generally parents would want to educate both boys and girls, however when there are other demands on the family's resources that the education of the girl child is considered a secondary issue.

Introduction: Early and exclusive breastfeeding is now recognized as one of the most effective interventions for child survival particularly to address morbidity and mortality related to three major conditions i.e. neonatal infections, diarrhea and pneumonia. 2. Aim: To study the infant and young child feeding practices among the lactating mothers of village Khuda Lahora of Chandigarh. 3. Objectives: a. To assess the prevailing breast feeding practices adopted by the lactating mothers of village Khuda Lahora. b. To identify the barriers which lead to inappropriate breast feeding practices. c. To examine the complementary feeding given to the infants and young children of the village. 4. Methodology: The study was conducted in the one of the randomly selected village Khuda Lahora of the “city beautiful”- Chandigarh. The total population of the village is 3,476. There are 2,011 males and 1,456 females. There were 191 mothers who were registered in the sub centre of the village but only 167 participated in the study. 5. Results: The rate of exclusive breast feeding among the lactating mothers is found to be 22.7% and 46% of the mothers have some prior knowledge of breastfeeding. It was found that 71% of the respondents started complementary feeding at the age of 4-5 months. It is seen that 29% of the respondents gave diluted milk.

This research study was carried out during 2012-2013 in Limbdi Taluka of Surendranagar district of Gujarat state for ascertaining the constraints or problems faced by farmers in adoption of biofertilizers in agriculture. The research study revealed that a majority of respondents i.e. 85% reported the lack of confidence towards various biofertilizers practices and methods. More than half of the respondents of the respondents i.e. 58% reported that lack of knowledge about biofertilizers, followed by inadequate water availability i.e. 45% and lack of guidance from extension personnel are 41% of the total respondents. It is therefore, advisable that the extension agency should increase confidence level of farmers on usage of biofertilizers and also the method or practices to be used regarding biofertilizers. Information concerning utilization of biofertilizers through organizing of training programmes, expert’s lectures, method and result demonstration and Krishi Mela etc.

India is a second biggest Country in the world in population 121 crore and first in the Bovine population 30.44 crore. Socioeconomic development of rural households in India is highly dependent on livestock sector. The livestock production in addition to food provides draught power, hider, skin, bones, blood, fibers and organic manure to crop sector and also contributes to the industrial sector. It also makes significant contributions towards conservation of environment. Livestock sector not only supplements income from crop production and other sources but also provides regular income over the year absorbing income shock due to crop failure and generates continuous employment. India, the landless population in about 15% and the small and marginal land holding households constitute about 65% of rural population and most of them own livestock. They normally keep low producing indigenous cows and small animals like sheep, goats and pig for their livelihood or for commercial purposes. India has achieved the highest milk producing nation in the world since 1999. In 1950 milk production was 17 million tones and now in 2012-13 has increased to 133.79 million tones. This was possible due to the implementation of a number of initiatives by Government of India both on the central and state level. The country exported 87,824.18 mt. of dairy products. Worth Rs. 1412.10 crore in 2012-13. In our national G.D.P. the share of livestock sector was 3.6% in 2010-11, with amount of 260300 crore.

For last two decades these SME’s enterprises faced many issues and challenges in their business like lake of resources, security and high implementation cost and so on. This article demonstrate the literature review of the benefits can be served by cloud computing and the issues and challenges that E-commerce Small and medium enterprises (SME’s) faced, and how cloud computing is useful in solving these issues. This paper represents the methodology that will be used to collect data to see how far the cloud computing has influenced the E-commerce in small and medium enterprises in India.

Nowadays, the adoption of cell/mobile phones has been remarkably increasing in many part of the world, and particularly in India where mobile phones are today almost as common as wrist watches. While mobile phone usage is rather an unexamined type in academic literature, the aim of this study is to investigate consumer buying motives in mobile phone markets. To undertake this research, the researcher has surveyed 190 consumers and looks at their motives to buy new cell phones on one hand and on the other hand factors affecting consumer’s buying behavior while choosing operator. The result signified that while price and properties were the most influential factors affecting the purchase of a new cell phone, price of the mobile phones, audibility and friends’ operator were regarded as the most important in the choice of the mobile phone operator. This research paper concludes with a discussion of contributions and proposes ideas for potential research studies in the same field.

Small Scale Industry (SSI) is considered more important by the Government of India and given priority sector, since it paves way for rapid industrialisation in the country. Small Scale industry (SSI) is a precondition for balanced growth of the economy of the country like India. Government of India promotes the development of Small Scale Industry by considering it as one of the indicators for the economic development of the country. SSI encourages production activities, generation of employment opportunities and increased export earnings as well. Government supports the Small Scale Industries through various promotional schemes and financial aid through various private and commercial banks and financial institutions. Different types of committees were formed for the development of SSIs and considerable financial support is given in various five-year plans. Despite promotion and financial supports from the government many Small Scale Industries are facing the problem of finance and many banks experiencing increase in Non-Performing Assets (NPA). To overcome these issues several debt recovery mechanisms must be strengthened and financial support should be given to Small Scale Industries by following insistent assessment methods. This research article incorporates the general picture of five year plans from first five year plan to twelfth five year plan.

Although statistics is essential to almost all sciences-social, physical, and natural and is very widely used in almost all spheres of huminity. It is not without limitations. The most significant limitation of statistics is the misuse of it. The use of statistic by the experts who are well experienced and skilled can analyze and interpreted the statistical data in correct way. Wrong interpretation of the data results in statistical fallacies which may arise in the collection, presentation, analysis, and interpretation of data. This paper throws light on the factors which give rise to misinterpretation of data and statistical fallacies. The study of these factors leads to minimize the statistical fallacies. Utmost care and precaution should be taken for the interpretation of statistical data. “Statistics should not be used as a blind man uses a lamp-post for support instead of illumination.” Statistical interpretation depends not only on statistical ideas but also on ordinary clear thinking. Clear thinking is not only essential in interpreting statistics but is sufficient in the absence of specific statistical knowledge. Statistics neither proves nor disproves anything. It is merely a tool which, if rightly used may prove extremely useful but if misused by inexperienced, unskilled, and dishonest statisticians might lead to very fallacious conclusions “Statistics are like clay of which you can make a god or a devil as you please.” The use of statistics by the experts who are well experienced and skilled in the analysis and interpretation of statistical data reduce the chances of mass popularity of this important science. “Science of statistic is the useful servant but only of great value to those who understand its proper use.”
